Had another awesome walk today in the woods with my DH and Baxter and Murray. They loved it too! They had to smell every bit of horse poop initially, but then finally got over that. Horses are allowed on the trails.
My DS, DIL and granddaughter are coming on Thursday to stay through the weekend. I am SO excited. Can't wait to kiss those baby cheeks again! She turns 10-months old tomorrow. She just lights up my heart and makes me smile all over my face! -
Hi, Rocket and Everyone here!!! Rocket, keep enjoying those walks and taking in the sunshine and fresh air. I know when I walk, I feel so much better. Please enjoy your family this weekend, and enjoy giving your granddaughter hugs and kisses. I am finally learning that I am especially carb sensitive. I feel so good today, really went low carb with eating. Blessings to you all!!! A big hi to CookieMonster, Tenaj and ATeamNana!!!!
-
Hi everyone! Kindergarten I feel better today because I ate low carb too, much better. Yesterday was my DH birthday so of course I cooked all weekend & baked. Special times.....but back on track now. My son got engaged last week so looks like I'll have the wedding to motivate me. No date yet so that gives me some time. Lol
Rocket, sounds like your dogs like the walks too!! I love to be outdoors this time if year. The trees are so beautiful.
I've been so busy. I feel myself slipping back into being in that "busy mode" & not doing enough for myself. I need to make more of an effort to exercise. Gonna check back here for more motivation :-)
Hi CookieMonster & ATeamNana !!! -
Hi, Tenaj!! Congratulations on your son's engagement. I am sure you are so excited!!! You sure do need to take time for yourself and you can always come here for encouragement and chit chat. You have alot to look forward to. I can't believe how bad I feel if I eat too many carbs. We can encourage each other. Have a great evening!!!
-
Hi Kindergarten, thanks for the congratulations & the encouragement. I look forward to staying in touch & keeping me motivated. Enjoy your day!!
-
Been super busy and super tired, possibly due to the Tamox. I continue to feel like I'm losing and gaining the same 2-3 pounds over and over, must get back at it.
Need to get exercise too, but as I said above, busy and tired, not a good combination to encourage exercise.
Hugs to everyone.
-
Hi, CookieMonster! I don't know how you do it, working and being on Tamoxifen. You are definitely my hero. I am sure you are burning many calories daily! A big hug to you!!!
-
Hi CookieMonster, I feel the same about those 2-3 lbs & I also am taking tamoxifen for 5 months now. Busy, busy busy we are.....but we need to take time for ourselves so we can keep being busy for our loved ones!!! I am good at preaching & knowing what you should do, I just have a time following it!!! Lol..I'm trying to get back in the swing also.
Hi Kindergarten, ATeamnana & Rocket. Hope your enjoying your weekend. I'm being busy (lol), getting ready for the hurricane. I live about 1/4 mi from the south shore on Long Island, soooooo we are keeping a close eye on this one. We're kinda thinking that we're not evacuating even if they say..... I'll keep you posted. -
Tenaj, Please stay safe. Prayers are coming your way!!!
-
Thanks for the prayers!!! The anticipation now is wearing......I'll try not to let the stress force me to the Halloween Candice jar!! He- he
-
Praying for you Tenaj! My son, his wife and my granddaughter were just visiting us here in Boone, NC and they were headed back to eastern NC today - about an hour and a half from the coast. My mom and sister live there too. Praying for safety for all. We are supposed to be getting snow, and by the looks of the sky, we may well see some. Stay safe!
-
Hi everyone. Prayers for safety for all threatened by the hurricane. Stay safe tenaj. Keep us posted if you can. Rocket. Hope your family is safe also. Hi kathy. Hi cookiemonster.
-
Hi everyone, they have issued an mandatory evacuation, but so far it looks like we're staying. The last time water past my house was in the hurricane of '38, so I'm hoping I don't have waterfront property after Sandy visits!! Stay tuned....
-
Yikes, Tenaj, please be safe!!!
-
Hi!! Still have power & cable, I can't believe.....there are trees down all around. The storm is still not at its peak yet.....so far so good. Our neighbor brought over toll house cookies......delish!!! No will power.... I never loose my appetite, I'm such a stress eater.
Anyway....have a wonderful night. -
We are having severe winds and snowfall here in Boone, NC. Still have power but I will be surprised if we still have it later. The winds are incredible here! Stay safe everyone!
-
TENAJ, so good to hear from you, prayers are coming for continued safety for you all!! Please keep us posted!! Rocket, prayers are coming your way as well! Stress burns calories, I hope you don't mind a little humor!! Truly, I am very concerned for you all!!! Keep posting so that we know you are OK.
-
I can not imagine what those in Sandy's path are dealing with. Tena & Rocket praying right now for you and your family's safety.
-
Thanks for the prayers Ladies. We still have power, but lots of high winds and blowing snow. We are expecting more snow tonight. My therapy will probably be cancelled tomorrow. How are you doing Tenaj?
-
thanks for posting, Rocket, glad you are safe, sorry you are having snow!!! Hope to hear from Tenaj!!!! Hopefully, by this time next week, things will be calmer!!!
-
Rocket. Glad you are doing well. Hi kathy. Hoping and praying all is well with tenaj.
-
Good morning, ATeamNana, hope your weather is calm!!! Cookie Monster, hope you are doing well!! Hoping to hear from TENAJ that all is well! I am thinking that she is without power and unable to post! Rocket, hope your snow is melting!!! Stay safe everyone!!!
-
No snow melting yet. It's extremely cold and windy and my foolish Goldendoodles love it. I'm out there freezing my butt off while they are running around, digging in the snow to find leaves and flipping them into the air. What a couple of goofballs! I just want them to hurry up and go pee. Finally I decided to take them out one at a time. They still act all silly and play in the snow by themselves. Next time they go out, it's going to be on a leash!
-
Hi ladies, we are safe & did not get flooded!!! I have no power or phone & very crappy cell phone service. Glad you are safe Rocket & enjoying your pups!!( I call all dogs no matter what size a pup)
The east coast has been changed forever.... In my town which wasn't the worst,we have 100's of homes in water & all the oil tanks & septic systems are spilling out. It's just so sad.....the water came 5' feet to my mom's house which we still didn't close on. I'm lucky the water was 2 short blocks away. Your prayers helped because we are safe!!! Hubby is at Home Depot looking for some plug for the generator so we can use the furnace, so far we're keeping the fridge on & phones charged. Stay well ladies xoxo -
Praying for you Tenaj. So happy you are safe! Hang in there. Hopefully your power will be restored soon.
-
Hi, Tenaj, so good to hear from you!!! Glad to hear you are safe!!! But so sorry to hear that you do not have power yet!!! I feel so bad about all the devastation out East!!! Please know that you will continue to be in my prayers!
-
Tenaj. So gald you are OK. I have been praying and thinking of you. So sad all the damage and loss of lives. Stay warm and dry. Rocket glad you are doing well also.
-
Hi everyone! Still here, no power yet. Cell service stinks. We lucked out!! when I see the devastation around me it is so sad. Thanks for your prayers . Xoxo
-
BIG GIANT HUGS, Tenaj!! Hang in there, I hope things improve for everyone.
-
I feel the hugs CookieMonster :-)
I'm still here....still no power. Hopefully tomorrow....I'm working this weekend so it's been good cause I'm busy....just a pain cause I have no cable & I need it to sync my computer for work. Fortunately my 1st patient is allowing me to use her wireless router. Stay well everyone xoxo
