Hi everyone. Sounds like a lot has been going on. Hope the therapies go well tenej and rocket. cookiemonster. That is great the scale is moving down. I walked a bit today and we had our pool closed for the winter. That seems weird to say that :). It is cooler here but i like not needing air conditioning or heat to save on utilities a bit. I had yearly mammo and visit with surgeon. Good reports. Still, trying to find best med for neuropathy but other than that all is good. Dr strongly encouraged me to have BRAC genetic testing so i did. Has anyone else had genetic testing? Results take about two weeks. Kathy hope the aromasin is not too harsh on you. Have a good day tomorrow everyone:)

I had the genetic testing. All was negative for me. I have a colleague who tested positive, and BOTH of her daughters have refused testing, apparently they don't want to know. Such an individual decision. Fingers crossed for negative results for you too.

Hi, ATeamNana, yes hope good results for BRCA!!  I am so glad you had good results with mammo!!! I hope you find the right meds for your neuropathy.  Thank you also for your well wishes on aromasin. I took it for 6 1/2 years, old onc took me off it, but my new onc wants me on it again. The joint pain is not too bad, it is just I forgot what it felt like after being off the med for over 6 months. I am actually glad that I am on aromasin again. I feel somewhat protected again. CookieMonster, onc wanted my sons to have the BRCA testing also, but they have not yet either. Hope your school year is off to a great start and please let me know when you get back to Torrance again, or I can certainly meet you somewhere closer to where you live. Have a great day, everyone!!!Smile

Justing popping to say Hi! Have a great day tomorrow everyone:)
I will have results back in about two weeks for the BRAC testing. I did find out my insurance covers it at 100 percent and no deductible. I was pleasantly surprised.

ATeamNana that 's great news about the coverage, it's quite an expensive test. I had it done & it was negative. My sister was diagnosed 13 years ago & she got tested this year. I worry so much for my daughter. She's 23 & has been on the pill for a few years. I was happy to find out she's switching birth control methods,

Kindergarten, your exercise should help some with the joint pain. Feeling protected makes dealing with things a bit better....hang in there :-)

I go for my 2nd visit to PT tomorrow, so far so good. I'm just glad I wasn't told surgery 1st thing.

It's 11 am and I've alreay just about hit 10,000 steps today - I guess reffing a soccer game can do that to you. :)

I hope that everyone is having/has had a great weekend!

And on my Thursday weight check in I was down another little bit - gotta keep plugging away at it.

Hi, Everyone, Miss chatting with everyone on here. With these horrendous gas prices in CA, hubby and I are walking and riding bikes. Hoping now for more weight loss, had too many carbs this weekend, but hopefully worked them off with the walking and bike riding. I hope you all had a great weekend!!!Smile

Hi kindergarten! I read about the gas prices by you, CRAZY!! Filled my truck today that was 1/2 full & it cost $60!!! When I use to use that vehicle for my visiting nurse work I went thru 2 tank fills a week!!! Thank goodness I'm driving my we Honda CRV now, it's still costs a bit but so much better than the 12 mpg I get.

I had friends for dinner today so obviously I ate & drank more than I should. I'll be better this week. I'm holding steady, not loosing.....gotta get serious. Have a great evening :-)

Hi, Tenaj!!! How fun that you had friends for dinner, it is O.K. to splurge, back on track now. We sold both our truck and car when we moved here and went down to one car, Honda Pilot, so glad we did now. Not sure if we need to buy another vehicle yet. It is so nice to have a one car maintenance. It is so funny how roles change in a family.Wink Our boys told us we could borrow a car from them if we ever need one!!! We live in walking distance from restaurants, grocery stores and malls, so we are good for now. It forces us to walk or ride our bikes. I hope everyone has a great Monday!!!!Smile

Good evening kindergarten! How nice you can walk to all those great places. Our kids have moved to cities (Philly & Boston) they love how they can walk everywhere. I live on the east end of Long Island so it's a must to have a car. The weather has changed dramatically. It was 46 degrees when I woke up. I had to wear a jacket to work for the first time & even put the heat on today. Big change from 2 days ago when it was 76!!! Looks like I'll have to bundle up for my bike rides. Have a great evening!!

Good morning ATeamNana & whoever else is checking in. You would think all that running with the kids would be more helpful with the weight loss. They do sound like they keep you busy. I'm off to PT again this morning......my shoulder is better but not completely pain free yet....took a bike ride yest & I started keep my food diary on my fitness pal yest. Trying to get back into weight reduction.....got to get my act together as the holidays are quickly approaching & am a sucker for all the baking & other good stuff.

    Have a great day!

Today my husband took me to a gorgeous park and we walked down a leaf-lined path through a forest of rich color. It just gave me a whole new perspective. I breathed in that wonderful fall scent and felt so renewed. We are going again tomorrow. We will walk for several miles at least, but who cares how far you go when you are in scenery like that! What a great way to exercise.

I plan on it. I also ate a fresh, crunchy honeycrisp apple. It was like a perfect afternoon. I can't wait to go back. The weather should be nice again tomorrow. We will be going in the morning instead of the afternoon, so maybe I will have a bit more energy and can walk farther. If no one had been looking, I wouldn't have resisted the urge to skip down the path.

I hope you all have a lovely evening.

Hi, Rocket!!!!  MMmm!! Honeycrisp apples, my favorite!!! You are too cute, I can just see you skipping down the trail, you go girlWink Please enjoy your walk today. We are having unusually warmer weather here. It has been in the high 80's. It is supposed to cool down this week. The weather here in the South Bay is usually Fall like all year round, except in August and September. We have baseball and soccer games today and we will get to see our granddaughter Lily. She weighs almost 13lbs now, so I carry her around and consider that my exercise for the day, he,he,he!!! Have a wonderful day!!!!
