Just because you can't prove it doesn't make it untrue. I have it on good authority that he loves to grab his crotch. Thinks that makes him cool.

Why the Washington Post is endorsing President Obama:
The sad answer is there is no way to know what Mr. Romney really believes. His unguarded expression of contempt for 47 percent of the population seems as sincere as anything else we’ve heard, but that’s only conjecture. At times he has advocated a muscular, John McCain-style foreign policy, but in the final presidential debate he positioned himself as a dove. Before he passionately supported a fetus’s right to life, he supported a woman’s right to abortion. His swings have been dramatic on gay rights, gun rights, health care, climate change and immigration. His ugly embrace of “self-deportation” during the Republican primary campaign, and his demolition of a primary opponent, Texas Gov. Rick Perry, for having left open a door of opportunity for illegal-immigrant children, bespeaks a willingness to say just about anything to win. Every politician changes his mind sometimes; you’d worry if not. But rarely has a politician gotten so far with only one evident immutable belief: his conviction in his own fitness for higher office.
So voters are left with the centerpiece of Mr. Romney’s campaign: promised tax cuts that would blow a much bigger hole in the federal budget while worsening economic inequality. His claims that he could avoid those negative effects, which defy math andwhich he refuses to back up with actual proposals, are more insulting than reassuring.

OMG, covertanjou! I actually googled your ETA to see if you made it up to be funny and just about died laughing when I found out it was true! Laughing hysterically here at the thought of the grumpy expression on Trump's face (you know the one - dumb guy trying to look smart whilst simultaneously constipated) when he heard THAT little counter-offer.
-
Linda - that endorsement says it all. Case closed.
-
Bren, have a wonderful time in San Diego . . . you certainly deserve it. I bet the only people more excited than you right now are your wonderful boys, who'll get to see you!

Fascinating article on Obama and the actions leading to the killing of Ben Laden. http://www.vanityfair.com/politics/2012/11/inside-osama-bin-laden-assassination-plot

Republicans say...
Polls are rigged...except the ones that favor them
They have no use for factcheckers...until Obama misspeaks
They want Freedom of Speech...for themselves but not others
We have to prevent voter fraud...by poor people
-
Rosemary, that's right. Let's not forget they want the gov't to stay out of their lives except when it comes to their medicare, social security and women's vaginas.
I think this video from Ellen is hilarious:

Loved the video.
Good luck tomorrow E. I will be checking in. May not be posting much...it's wedding time!

Happy wedding, Pip
I have been roaring with laughter, you are THE BEST GROUP OF WOMEN, don't know how we're gonna make it til 11/6, but everytime I hear his voice ( b4 I can get to the TV mute button) I NOW hear the name: Robme the Regressive.
Nate Silver is brilliant, and his today column, well, http://fivethirtyeight.blogs.nytimes.com/2012/10/25/oct-24-in-polls-romneys-momentum-seems-to-have-stopped/?hp
Such a giggle to see how many "news" sites are churning it up with the "meme" of "momentum" - with news 24/7, it's always looking for "blood in the water" -well, I don't know about "jumping the shark" but I think Blue's Idjut's used it as a boomerang -
Thanks to Linda for introducing us to Helen & Margaret...THE BEST....
-
Enjoyful, thinking of you and hoping that everything goes well tomorrow - here's to a smooth surgery and good margins!
Pip, enjoy all the wedding prep and celebration.
Now off to read Nate - just looked at Intrade so I imagine Nate's gonna make me smile today.
-
Scoot - all the best for tomorrow - we are all there with you.

2 hours to go, I guess I should get dressed. I'm starting to see the benfit of having a BMX.
-
Well we are a silly bunch because we don't believe tha latest Faux News. I guess that is because we are women and only fit to be barefoot in the kitchen. What were men thinking giving us the vote?
-
Susieq-don't forget-we are right there with you.
Mary

Thanks Mary - I'm dressed. I'll leave in about half an hour I always like to get there a bit early. Will have to find a good book to take - I'm nearly finished the one I'm reading.

This is an interesting article collecting 10 of the scandals or questionable business dealings in which Robme has been involved. Just nice to be reminded and to have in one place for reference. It mystifies me why anyone in Ohio would even consider voting for Robme after the Delphi debacle.

Home from work. Throughly enjoyed all the links and great information. And gosh, about that Faux News......you know, I really tried for my idjut family to get into that, but the first ten minutes had me gaping wondering just which planet had kicked these people off. The sense of un-reality was cloying and I realized why my SIL always made the rather un-appealing or horrid things sound rather rosy ---- it is of course, all in the web you are spinning. This is or maybe I should say was a very intelligent person making tons of money as a para-legal for a big California energy company. I speak to her now only when I have too --- because I cannot enter her alien world --- her Faux news world that she inhabits with most of the rest of the family. Major waste of intelligence.
~~~Go Ellen~~~
I still say debate wise, it was only the first one that was a problem.....obviously Dems for the most part are very fast fact checkers and learners....and that did create a lot of name-calling and boo-hooing and who was at fault and you know it was a huge surprise to find it was always the Dems side and never Regressive Romnesia Robme Romney. No....he is a rather perfect specimen of humanity or so many would have us believe. Heck, there was a time or two I almost felt sorry for the dude, and then there it would show up in black and white on the record, so many times by his own proclamation. Now when 'Dude' backtracks and corrects his own facts and material, not once but several times, that man is running a flim-flam operation to the hilt. Adios.
On to supper. I'll catch you all later.
I find it interesting that the spin on President Obama ignoring Donald Trump's ludicrous challenge is to say that the President is spending millions to hide his transcripts. NO. He is not spending anything. The President is ignoring a clown. If Donald Trump wants to give $5 million to charity, he should go right ahead and do that. It's a good idea.
Wonder why Trump didn't make the offer to Romney for his tax records? Seems a lot more relevant than their school grades. But what do I know ... I don't live in Faux Limba Land.
Boring test results vibes have gone out to susieq.
Enjoy your trip Bren! I know you like nothing better than the chance to get back to San Diego to see those grandsons.
Pip ... hope the wedding is wonderful for all.
Glenna ... your granddaughter is just precious!
Jackie ... I know what you mean. I don't even try to talk to people who believe all that garbage. If they won't pull their head out of their ... ummmm Faux News ... it's a waste of time.
As for the rest of you ... you are naughty, naughty girls
Enjoyful ... will be squished in your purse in the morning. Me and about a zillion others. We've got your back kiddo. (((hugs)))
SuzieQ, Best wishes for a boring day and boring results.
Here is the Amazon page for Bic Cristal for Her Pens. The reviews are hilarious.
I didn't know Ambassador Stevens personally, but he's not much younger than me. We went to the same University and we might have gone to the same high school..his mother lives less than a mile from the house I grew up in, the house my brother and his family now live in. She plays in the Marin Symphony. I somehow feel her politics and her son's are similar to my own. I know where she grocery shops, what roads she drives everyday, she might be a lot like my mother if my mother was still alive, a music teacher...I just feel a tiny bit of affinity for this woman and her slain son, so everytime I see the Faux News crowd wanting to make political hay out of this event, I want to yell STFU!
Mary Commaday, the mother of slain U.S. Ambassador Chris Stevens, on Thursday again dismissed the politicization of her son's death during the Sept. 11 attack on the U.S. consulate in Libya.
"I don't think it is productive to lay blame on people," Commaday said during asegment aired on CBS News.
The sentiment echoes her response to a San Francisco television station two weeks ago. In her first in-depth interview after Stevens' death, Commaday refused to point fingers.
"How can anyone place blame for his death -- these were circumstances beyond our government’s control," Commaday told NBC Bay Area. "I am perfectly aware that there was danger. But he was a grown man, well-educated and careful. I knew he was out there doing good work.”
-
Kam....I've felt much the same as you......and mainly ( since I don't come to it 'nearly' in so many ways as you ) for the reason that I found it sickening that this event was used immediately as Romney's bandwagon gain -- talk about going in for the kill -- and his supporters seem to feel that since he did it, there is little reason to give up being USERS in the same desperation to make Romney appear as though he has a heart and feelings and likewise portray our Commander-in-Chief as having none. No one seems to have noticed....Romney got what mileage he could out of this and looked like the first class opportunistic fool that he was for doing it. He had no shame and it was a charisteric blunder since he hasn't a clue about foreign relations, fact finding, and how so much of what takes place must be handled with kid gloves. During the uh-huh debate he had to agree to just about everything Pres. Obama said because he just doesn't know much at all about foreign relations and doesn't even care that he doesn't know. Even Romney knows to drop it now and shut up.
Hopping in E's bag....hoping the Wabbit stops nipping at my paws.
