Ugh, I wish abortion were not a national topic of debate....but that's just me.
-
Now we know just how much Biden held back on Sarah Palin
-
Joe, on abortion, is preaching tolerance - that most American of practices.
But I still wish abortion were not on the agenda nationally.
-
Good on Joe for bringing up the 47 percent - especially when it comes to a decorated soldier.
And Ryan, although critical of Obama, cannot articulate a better option. Where is the Romney plan? I don't see it.
All Ryan says is: "we don't have to settle for this." That is lame.
-
I was honest with my debate assessment of last POTUS. I'll be honest here. Joe came with the facts and he didn't let the slippery jibberish pass unnoted. Joe came across as the experienced leader.
-
When did they birth this "5 point plan for the middle class?"
-
I have the same question, Kam!
-
A real quickie, that one...maybe it came about in Ryan's head on stage?
-
I'm guessing just before the debate, Kam!
-
Who is going to watch Fox for their warped assessment?
-
No thanks. Fixed Noise is just that.
-
First time I saw a journalist followup, well. Martha done good.
-
Well done, Joe!
-
Huffpo just has a giant "BIDEN'D" across the front of their home page. Love it.
-
I could say so many things, but I'll just say.....I'm proud to be a member of my Vice President's party.

Biden to Ryan: "I wish he would just te.....be a little more candid."
I'm afraid the same type people who think Obama is responsible for Social Security recipients getting or not getting a COLA will not know what the CBO is, e.g.. This was a slightly wonky debate, not much, but if they don't even understand how COLAs are generated for SS, well....very wonky.
-
Marsha Blackburn making a fool of herself with CM. In the words of Paul Ryan " It would take me too long to go through all of the" stupid things she said.
-
Illinois, what kind of dog is that? We have one that looks so much like her.
-
Good morning! Lots to catch up on, so I read a page and then jumped to the end. Just wanted to say that the pastrami was good, but the debate was better!
Brenda, I'm really sorry to hear about NC Brenda. She'll be staying in my thoughts.

Caught up now - really enjoyed the debate commentary!
To be totally, scrupulously fair, that "five point plan" has been around for awhile. It's up on Romney's website, for example. But to my mind it's way too general to qualify as a "plan" -- it's basically a bunch of GOP "greatest hits" strung together("drill, baby, drill," anyone?); it's the same as the "plan" from 2008 and 2004 and 2000 and . . .
What's new is hearing it labeled "a plan for the middle class." But when you have a totally nonspecific "plan," I guess you can label it anything you want. Whatever. I'm not buying it whatever they label it!

One of my fave lines: Joe Biden to Ryan --"Oh now you're Jack Kennedy!" LOL!
Poor Ryan looked like a deer in headlights. His reaction when Biden called him out on sending letters to the Admin for stimulus $ while bashing the stimulus was PRICELESS!
Also loved the fact that Biden didn't let lyin'Ryan get away with the bulls**t he usually spews (how's is that for an image!).

Well, the Romney/Ryan loyalists will claim a debate victory, while those of us backing Obama believe Biden won the debate. Regardless, I think everyone can agree that Martha Raddatz did a much better job than Jim Lehrer.
-
While the other side wrings their hands and despairs over crazy conspiracy theories (which can be debunked with a quick google search), it's nice to consider facts:

For those concerned about Roe v. Wade:
-
Momine...we have never been sure what Teeny is but highly suspect Terrier with ??? She was found or so it was said in a parking lot. When I took her from the man who found her....she had a fractured front leg. Near where she turned up lived a person with at least one Terrier and a few Dachshunds -- only mention, because she displays far more of the Terrier type body, size and face though a longer snout than I'd expect with a Terrier. That may be a coincidence and have little to do with anything.
I haven't read much this a.m. but do know what was said last night with Republican pundits. Joe smiled too much....actually laughed at some of the ridiculous things that his opponent said. My feeling...this morning we are in an ok place. As someone here so aptly said....thanks Joe.

Thanks Brenda. The hypocrisy still stuns. "We believe in individual freedoms, BUT, we also believe we have the right to CONTROL women, tell them what to do with their bodies, including those vile ultrasound "wands" - shivers....just shivers...too many of us still remember the days of "coat hangers" and "back alley" choices - NEVER AGAIN. N.E.V.E.R.
Slept thru this "debate" too, best for my sense of well being, but TRUST Joe Biden did a great job. Respect him. Love his Spirit, and he LIVES what I call family values...
Riley, meant to ask, have you started painting, decortating yet?
Teeney Weeney has the most beautiful big brown eyes,
Happy today...off to see my acupuncturist...ah, joy.
