KCBWith great loss and regrets:
dreamwriter will not be attending.
-
I will not be able to make it. Unfortunately, I will be busy with a funeral this weekend. It sounds like you are all going to have a great time! Enjoy!
-
Came home from rad #9 ..20 minutes today...a little weary but my man helped me....he blanched & peeled peaches and Ladies...the peach pies are all in the oven.
-
Sadly, I am unable to attend on Sunday now. I have been feeling under the weather all week and am gradually feeling worse and don't want to spread anything to anyone! Go figure on one of the nicest weekends. I hope you have a great time. Rachel xo
-
Sorry to hear you can't make it Rachel - and appreciate that you are not spreading any germs around. Next time!
-
Sorry you cannot make it Rachel -- we will have another one and will you see you then.
Isabelle, thanks so much for all your work and to your DH too.
See everyone on Sunday. -
Rachel, sorry that I won't be able to meet you. But we do appreciate you thinking about not spreading it around. I hope you are feeling better soon.
-
I am having a party tomorrow to celebrate ?? Not sure what ?? End of treatment. Friends and family ... My sister who has been a great support is now in the kitchen cooking boobie cookies ..... If I can manage I will bring some on Sunday.

I just want to make the naked ones ..... I had a Lumpectomy, do you think I should put my scar on them? -
LOL Joanne... Go for it!
Sorry you are not feeling well Rachel. You are incredibly sweet and thoughtful for making sure to: A. Not spread it around, and B. Make sure you let us know.

Sounds like it will for sure be quite a gathering. Hope evryone has a wonderful time :-)
-
I'm not going to make it to this one, so sorry!!! Finances and new meds yesterday has made that decision for me. I haven't driven that far with my pacemaker yet (was restricted for a short while at first), and my DH is working, so he can't drive me. Also, with the 50% more morphine in my system, it is pretty much illegal for me to drive right now until my body breaks it down faster. Crap!!!!
Take a LOT of pics and post them here or I will haunt you to the ends of Ontario!
-
Sorry to hear that barbe ... Maybe you could hitch a ride ...
-
Joanne...go for it...scars are welcome
Rachel...sorry to hear you're aren't feeling well...get well soon. There will be other GTGs I am sure!
Barbe...sorry we aren't going to meet you THIS time...next time for sure!
-
Sorry to hear that Barbe. I adjusted the list.
-
BTW... Before I forget. Peach pie is not a problem.
-
Drat - sorry you can't come Barbe - I was looking forward to seeing you again.
-
I'm going to miss all the hugs the most!!!! And I LOVE meeting new sisters, this is tough for me, guys. I was really pumped for it and even bought a new t-shirt to wear....sigh. At least I get to keep the t-shirt.
-
barbe, so sorry you are not coming...hard to mail peach pie, but I would like to see the t-shirt.
I am bringing my camera tomorrow but still haven't figured out how to post pictures on here.
-
I'm eating watermelon right now and looked down and the t-shirt has some beautiful watermelon, coral and yellow and orange in it. I never wear solid colours. The busy patterns distract from the booblessness. I am going to miss peach pies!! I can NOT believe I am going to miss the highlight of my summer!
-
Barbe, sorry you aren't going to be able to make it. I know how much you look forward to these get togethers. As much as I am trying to get organized for tomorrow, I don't think I'll be able to get there either -- even for a short pop in -- just too much to do with 13 people coming for dinner at 5 pm.
Maybe we can have another get together in the fall ... before the snow comes and we can try for north of Toronto to be more convenient for the more northerly located.
Take lots of pictures and post. Sorry to be missing.
-
I've honestly wracked my brain for hours trying to figure out if I could pull off offering to come get you Barbe. It's just a lot of drive time to do it here... to you... to here... to your place... to here. *pout*
-
Awww shucks, thanks for trying!
-
Hi ladies,
I was really looking forward to see each and everyone of you girls for some very needed courage to go through the bilateral mastectomy on this wensday but unfortunately on top of everything else, I'm having a disaster in my apartment ( sewage flood) and staying in a hotel so can't make it tomorrow but will be thinking of you. I live in north York and will be delighted to see any of you anytime after my surgery.
Lots of love,
Sheila -
Wish I was a genie in a bottle or had a magic wand....I would wave all of you with us tomorrow. But we will do this again.
-
I am going to have to pass for tomorrow. Had my second treatment this week and feeling really tired. My son's got hockey in the morning and if I can make it through that and groceries I expect I will pretty much be done for the day. Sorry everybody. I was looking forward to meeting everyone.
-
Tookybum, if you can get to Hamilton I could drive you.
-
I just posted on the Canadian thread. Looks like I won't be making lunch. Just got a call from my Moms nursing home. She has had a fall and is refusing to go the hospital. I have to go down there and force the issue. Arg!!!
-
MLB...sorry about your Mom...hope she will be OK...there will be other lunches...hope to arrange one in Mississauga for the gals that couldn't make this one.
-
I am soooo sorry. I am having a bad day today. I worked a full shift yesterday, for the first time in forever, and I am paying for it now. I was so looking forward to meeting old and new faces. Unfortunately, my ddd in my neck would make even the drive over very difficult.
Have a great time ladies. More peach pie for those of you who make it there!!!
-
Hi Ontario ladies: thinking of you all today, wishing I could meet you for lunch, but I'll wave as I hurtle by on the train. Enjoy that pie!!!
Thanks to the Toronto ladies who have contacted me re a city get-together.
