Hi there. I am committing to coming August 19 for the gathering at Milestones.
-
I'm with Joanne, if it's hot, I wouldn't be very comfortable outside. I am sure that goes for many of us. Flies around the food doesn't thrill me either. LOL
-
Old enough to want inside, too!!!
-
Joanne: I will bring my camera too & like you I am very heat sensitive...need that air conditioning. Maybe we can be outside for the dessert if it shows up. Have all the pastry made so it is a great posiblity. lol
So looking forward to this event.
-
Ain't going outside...even for desert!!
-
Barbe....oh stop being so wishy-washy
-
Restaurant may not approve of using their place for our own private food. Someone needs to check with them.
I'm really disappointed I can't be there. I'm still thinking that if I can get myself organized on Saturday then I will pop in for a brief time to say hello to everyone and then rush back ... but I don't know ..... I'll have to remain a "no" and if something changes, then I'll be a surprise.
-
Hey if we all order food and drinks they can't fuss about some homemade pastry.Remember they were already warned about us.
-
It would be a most excellent surprise if you can make it even briefly hrf!
-
I am thinking of coming in from Michigan as a maybe. I have a possible work conflict but will watch how it develops. I would love to get away for a weekend and see some other female faces and friends!
-
That is a long drive for you. We should try and get something together closer to London. You are welcome to come of course.
-
I'm voting for inside too. With the way the weather has been lately its either going to be super hot or raining.
-
hrf, popping in is okay, too!! At the first gathering, I was going up north for holidays and just popped in for the photo op and a cappuccino at Canyon Creek - where you and mumito and I had lunch last week!
-
I'll sit anywhere. No preference.
-
Hey Shell, I wonder if you could call and ask if they would have a problem with us bringing in a pie. It is no different then someone bringing in a birthday cake.
Just an idea ... Besides who wants to pass up Isabelle's pie if she brings it?
Thanks.
Joanne -
good idea Joanne, not much different from a birthday cake..I can see all of you right now with your tongues hanging out. lol
Had rad #7 today...time on the table is down to 15 minutes..... what a treat! Home in time to change, gather up my contribution to lunch & get to my Marathon Bid Euchre game at the community centre....Just got home from 3 1/2 ours of card playing. It is such a great distraction for me.
-
Isabelle, rads are definitely tiring ... And take care of your skin. I thought I was doing ok but around #13 I had some breakdown ... Use lots of glaxol base cream and ALL over your entire breast.
See you Sunday and I am drooling .... Lol
Joanne -
HAHAHAAHA I just told my DH about Isabelle making peach pie for Sunday and saw him swallow.....hehehehehehee YUM!!
-
Oh barbe, you are mean ...
-
I will have my hour of glory.....lol every man will want me ( or my peach pie) haha
-
I can just see it now....nailed to a cross if I don't bring the peach pies....lol
-
We'll use rope, and give you a board to stand on. We want you back for the next get-together where you could redeem yourself!
-
I will be there...and so far so good....treatment #8 tomorrow.....and doing okay...little pink, little tired...I can handle it & I am creaming. lol
-
You Ladies seem like a lot of fun!! Unfortunately for me as I am away and will have to miss this great opportunity to meet you all and miss out on Isabelle's pie too!! Please have fun and eat lots!
-
Ladies: so sad to say I will have to miss the lunch on Sunday; I will be heading back from the cottage on the train, not arriving until 4 to downtown.
I'm hoping/wondering if there are any city ladies who would like to meet up sometime in TO? Perhaps PM me if anyone is right in the city and without too much inconvenience would like to meet for a coffee or whatever.
Have a FANTASTIC time, I will be thinking of you as I zoom by in the train!! -
Can someone give directions from the 401 Eastbound out of Toronto, and approximate drive times from the 400 to where we're going?
-
Take 401 east to Thickson
North on Thickson to Consumers Drive
Left on Consumers Drive
Left into the complex
* I think it will be about 45 mins from the 400/401
Here is the address if you have a GPS
175 Consumers Dr, Whitby, ON L1N 1C4
Looking forward to meeting everyone,
Cheryl
-
Thanks Cheryl!!! See y'all then...
