chickadee...you are on my mind...hoping for a real snoozer today...
susieq...30 minutes for the first ride out is...IMPRESSIVE... I don't bike, I run...in part because even with the mattress pad in the shorts, I can't take the pain...
Glenna and Momine...thanks...I am very proud of my little 7 year old. I don't know how she does it. She is very talented at just about everything (except being even keel and staying calm...).
Sunflowers...I hope you are well...
Have a great day everyone...
-
Scoot, I'm so sorry I overreacted. I thought you were responding to my heartfelt post about my kitties, not the Home Ec thing. Unfortunately, I burst into tears and deleted said heartfelt post and now really wish I hadn't. I've sent you a PM.
-
Morning all. May it be the most BORING of all days!!!
SusieQ: I do biking as well. I have a bad foot and bad knees, so biking and swimming are it for me.
Greetings to Sunflowers!!
To the novel!!
-
Riley sweetie, no worries. If I'd been paying attention I wouldn't have posted as I did.
Sent you a pm back! -
Riley ... I have an email out to one possibility for Lovey. The 9 year old daughter of my daughter's co-worker had wanted my foundling kitten (and Mom had been convinced) but he was already taken by then. It's a long shot but would be a good home so I'm hoping. Will let you know what I hear back.
This thread moves fast sometimes. I've made comments relating to one thing and by the time I got them posted the subject had changed and they looked really weird in relation to the new subject. (((Riley))) (((Scoot))) (((group hug)))
Everything from eyes to toes crossed for good news for Chickadee today.
-
I was just being my usual idiot self. I'm asking Santa for a brain this year.
Chickadee....yawning in anticipation of your oh-so-boring results!
-
morning all.
Chickadee - may you have the totally boring of days.
Scoot - you don't get a brain for Christmas this year - at least not unless I do, too!
Riley - love your kitty, with I could have one

-
Well I'm easily pleased. Ordered a new mega fancy covered litter box for Tasia ... dogs in house - don't ask ... but they would not let me pick the color. Just got it and it's the dark red I wanted. Small goodness but still goodness

Now ... need to get to work on my rain dance.
-
Well I have a date with the dentist shortly. I broke my tooth last night. Not looking forward to the visit!
-
WhiteRabbit...dogs are disgusting, aren't they? Gotta love them...:) Glad you got your red.
kira...good luck with the dentist. This thread seems a little dangerous for teeth. hmmm.
-
Good luck ((Kira)) ... not the way anybody wants to start their day.
-
Good luck kira! I'll be making that trip next week. Gotta get a crown replaced.

-
I HATE the dentist. I've got to get a crown replaced - which I've been putting off for over two years now. Plus I've got another tooth that has a huge filling. I think I'm going to go ahead and have it crowned, as I'm a little leery of chewing on that side anymore - it feels not quite right, and I might as well do it while I still have dental insurance.
-
I am so glad that the people on this board, especially this thread, are so kind. I belonged to another board many years ago, and I was going through an absolute hell of a time with my daughter and posted about it. Instead of support, I got all sorts of "Well, what do you expect when you've clearly raised her wrong," and "Throw her in jail and throw away the key" and such. I remember reading the comments with tears rolling down my face. I don't belong to that board anymore( and my daughter is much better these days).
It is hard to keep up here sometimes-we get all excited and all post at the same time and it's hard to tell whose response is to what. (((((Riley)))))) ((((((Scoot))))))
Speaking of dentists, my poor little 84 year old mom had to have a tooth pulled the other day. It was pulled by the vacation replacement of her regular dentist. I don't want to be in her regular dentist's shoes right now.....she's been complaining for a couple of months to him about facial pain, and he's been toying around with nightguards, and it turns out to be a decaying tooth. I don't know why he missed it. This is my dentist too. I've been going to him for 30 years, and he treats my kids. We've always been happy with him. My mom is ready to give him a what-for!

'Morning all - just about
It's my birthday today.....naturally I am a leo.
I can cook, decorate and serve as fashion advisor, but I am not good with my hands and I brood too much so any type of sewing/knitting/pottery is out.
May the day be medically non-eventful for all.
ETA: Joy, you bring up an excellent point. Duh - slapping hand on head. I will go back to being a lioness and simply send (((((sunflowers a hug)))).
-
Teeth are definitely causing trouble here. Oh well, at least we have teeth.
-
And Athena, happy b-day!
-
Happy Birthday, Athena. Putting champagne on ice for a proper celebration.
-
Scoot, lol on Santa bringing you a brain. It reminds of when my kid was little and she complaind that school was so boring that she had to turn her brain off when she was there. It became a joke around the house to say, whenever she did something dumb, " Kid, time to turn your brain back on, you are home now!"
-
Happy Birthday Athena!! Cupcakes are being served in the lounge in your honor ...

-
Happy birthday Athena!
-
Hi Friends,
Just got back from the dentist .. yet again. This time he cut the bone off that was sticking out of my gum and then put four stitches in to close up the hole. Ouchy! I hurt like a sonofagun right now. Thank goodness he wrote an Rx for a few pain pills. Need to take one now.
Athena ... Happy Birthday dear friend. Hope you have a fantastic day. My sis is a Leo too, her birthday is Aug 1st .. and she is a Leo through and through!
Kira ... Good luck at the dentist today. I feel for you .. I really do.
Chickadee ... Hoping for great results on your scan.
Riley ... We love you girlfriend! I hope Lovey can find a new home quickly, she's such a cute kitty. I saw her pics on Facebook.
Scoot ... I am not a domestic goddess. I hate to cook and clean and do as little of it as possible, BUT I am pretty artsy fartsy and I do enjoy my crafts.
Will you girls keep my friend Brenda in your thoughts? She has a brain MRI scheduled for this Friday. She posts on the Stage IV forum as Naniam. She's got extensive bone mets all over her body and in her liver and peritoneum. She's been having dizzy spells, loss of balance and nausea. I'm really scared.
hugs to all,
Bren
-
Athena, I think we'll all have to gather at the BCOB&G tonight to celebrate and salute you! Happy Birthday, dear one!
Gee, those cupcakes look good -- but not sure about biting the head off a sweet l'il lion!
-
Thank you, dear friends. Excellent idea, Lindasa - and that is one amazing cake! We'll all meet at the BCO B&G for a looooong toast.
-
Thank you all so much for thinking of me. I am humbled and grateful. And boring.
I am still hanging out with that boring stable boy! I was two timing it a couple months ago with Reggie and the stable boy but I guess I wasn't boring enough for Reggie to take another twirl around the dance floor for now.
I'll take stable and raise you a two week break from Vitamin X to let my hands and feet stop peeling.
I gambled last week and booked a cruise for late October because we haven't gone anywhere since diagnosis almost 3 years ago. 30th anniversary on Aug 6 and we deserve something celebratory! Last night I was somewhat anxious that if I got not boring news I was going to screw up on the cruise. Glad I gambled, now I can keep counting the days to some fun. -
Happy B/D Athena!

-
Chickadee is boring.......YAY!
-
BORING, Chickadee, wonderful! Hooray for stable boys!
-
Happy Happy Birthday Athena - still haven't gotten the gist of sticking pictures in here, so just know I'm thinking happy lioness thoughts for you!!
Such huge congratulations on being boring Chickadee - and have a truly wonderful cruise!! Also, happy anniversary (early) how many wonderful years had it been?
-
Chick -- I think I just heard an enormous sigh of relief from everyone here! Keep dating stable boy, sweetie! And a nice romantic cruise is the perfect way to celebrate 30 years of togetherness!
