Good evening all. Sure enjoyed the sister pictures. So cool you could get together. Have been working on home decorating projects the last three days (window treatments) and haven't been on BCO too much. I see there's been a bit of hmmmm ..... How can I say it ..... Drama ..... I think I'm glad I missed it. I don't understand banning Sunflowers though. Maybe I didn't see what the mods saw ???? I hope it's a temporary, very short, ban. I've been having a rough time with fatigue this go round. It's been 8 days since chemo and I'm still dragging myself around. Wanted to take my grandson to Busch Gardens next week but will wait til August. Sure need my best energy for that! Wishing everyone peace.

Mods, why on earth did you delete my post????

What BCO rule did I violate?

You know what, forget it. Let's take it to another thread, otherwise you are capable of deleting this one while the sociopath flourishes....

    So here goes: http://community.breastcancer.org/forum/93/topic/790815?page=1#idx_1

BCO is getting a black eye.

I do not understand how moderators can chastise, delete and ban the reasonable and frustrated members of this community while letting the obvious problem fester and ooze it's malignancy.

Mods you have to wonder why so many reasonable and thoughtful people are so frustrated and upset. It's pouring into communications with you because there is a problem and it's not being handled.

I don't envy your position but there IS a problem and it's spreading......like a cancer.

    Mods,

Are you suggesting that we are making wild accusations or unfounded ones? Can I ask how you come to that conclusion?

And I would like to follow up to something Bluedahlia said...it is not just Sunflowers that is paying the price.  It is every woman (and man) that may come along that she would have supported by sharing her experience.

Mods, I know that you have a difficult job here.  But, with all respect, just blocking out people you disagree with is a lousy solution.  Sometimes, they are persuading people that are very vulnerable.  I speak from personal experience.  My father died of lung cancer...well, he died of the complications of combining conventional treatments with insane vitamin treatments.  He was desperate and scared and lousy at critical thinking.  His platelet count at the end was atrociously low.  And the people administering the alternative treatments were woefully unaware.  The conventional doctors weren't doing much better, either.  The combination was deadly.  If someone has knowledge that can help guide someone through the terrifying start of the lousy cancer journey, I don't think they should ignore them.  If someone is saying something that is harmful to that someone starting their journey, then they should be responded to, for the sake of vulnerable women and men starting out.  IMHO.

Athena, the sock puppets are on a rampage ever since some of them were exposed and are now out for revenge.  We are constantly being watched.  NO one can pass gas here without it being mentioned elsewhere.

I wasn't really saying not to call someone out by name, though I certainly won't do that anymore-I was trying to point out that the unseen "reporters" seem to have the power here.

Yes, Glenna. I hope you are soon feeling strong enough to take that grandson to Busch Gardens.

I'm trying not to forget what is really important here. The sock puppets can suck it for all I care. I care about all of my friends here, and if I have to put half the community on "ignore" I will. You guys are the best. I couldn't do without you. :)

YramAL... I am sorry.  If that was your gentle way of telling me to drop it here on this thread for the sake of the thread, I will stop.  I don't want to cause any trouble for anyone here, for sure.

No, CLC, I wasn't talking to you. I was sort of talking to myself. :)

This thread is a bitching thread, a loving thread, a funny thread!  Anything goes.  CLC, don't be afraid to voice your opinions.  You made very valid ones.  Too bad we liberals are such whiners.  We should be tough and just shoot anyone we don't like or make life as miserable as possble for them.

Totally agree Chickadee - the resonable ladies are punished when they shouldn't be.

It is Friday over here :)

Athena has been banned for one month for disagreeing with the mods.

Something is really wrong. The Stage IV forum is a lifeline for me but I'm having great difficulty with what's happening. Feeling more and more disconnected.

People are angry, frustrated and upset. Engage the conversation openly, take it to the comments forum if necessary, but censoring one person at a time is not going to solve the core issue.

Does this fit Dr Weiss' vision for this business?

This is seriously wrong.   I can't believe Athena was also banned!

I've only been on this thread for a short while, and I love all you ladies.  I feel like I'm with kindred souls.  Banning people for disagreeing with the Mods seems overly harsh and out of keeping with the goal of this site - and this thread in particular.

Banning for disagreeing with the mods seems to be a new thing. Not sure the reason for the change. I, for one, will miss Athena and Sunflowers.

Catching up on this thread a little late (after most of you have gone beddy-byes already).  But I have a question for each of you here:  Have you ever seen either a harmful (bad advice) or hurtful (willfully insulting) post from either Sunflowers or Athena?

I haven't.  Two people who are encouraging, kind, outspoken (when necessary and appropriate!) and, above all, breast cancer patients, have been banned.

For the life of me, I do not understand why.

Okay I won't even pretend to understand what's going on with the "sock puppets" but the ladies on this thread are always very entertaining! And hey, Athena's a friend to us in Stage IV too... always kind, always respectful. ?????? Grrrrrrrrr...
