Mods it's not just the document but posting pics as well. I use picassa and always used the copy/paste which I no longer can.

Moderators....I want you to also let the tech folks know that when you click on the discussion board...you are automatically brought to "All Topics."  In order to do a search...or go to "Active Topics"  or Dashboard or My Favorite Topics.... you need to scroll all the way down (on my iPhone) to find those areas.  Could you please put a "Jump to Bottom" at the top of the "All Topics"....or even better...move the stuff that's on the bottom of the site to the top.......

Chrissy - I just copied and pasted this picture from Picasa, no problem. I am using IE9 as my browser. Maybe something else going on from your end? Or a different browser?

LuvRVing I am using Google Chrome as I had a heap more hassles with Explorer 8. I will retry and see what happens. Thanks.

Chrissy, I have been having problems with Piscasa too and may have just figured out a solution. Try this:

    1. go to the picture you want

    2. click to enlarge it so it's on a page by itself

    3. right click on the picture

    4. go down to 'Properties"

    5. find the URL and copy the whole long number (ctrl C)

    6. bring it over here to the little tree icon, hit ctrl V it (the dimensions 640X480 should automatically pop in), and you should have your picture (maybe)

Ruth I can do it that way but it is a pain. The copy/paste is so much easier all round and so much easier to explain to newbies wanting to post pictures etc. thanks for the input though.

    Love n hugs. Chrissy

I agree, I loved the copy/paste. It took me many HOURS to figure this out!!!

    Hi Mods,

Thanks for fixing the 'problem' I was having - that clicking on a link to a comment in someone's profile now goes right to the actual post (instead of me having to hunt for it in the thread).  I appreciate that!

    Hugs to all, Patti

I am not able to log in from my iPad since the big change. I'll be off for the summer holidays in a few weeks so I thought I should find a fix before then. Thanks, Mods or anyone else who could help.

Thanks mods, just used the copy/paste on E8 and it worked fine.  Will try it in Chrome next.

Hi Painterly -- as of right now, only the mods can make this edit. But I'll be happy to do it for you! Just direct me to which thread and what the edit is...

I started a thread in the clinical trials section and my heading is "Tamoxifen use for the prevention of breast cancer" this should read "Tamoxifen use for the prevention of breast cancer in women who do not have breast cancer."

I left out the most important bit. LOL

    Thanks!

Painterly, we had to edit your title a bit because there's a 64-character limit on title length, but in this environment it seems that it should be clear. It's now saying "Tamoxifen for prevention in women who do not have breast cancer."

I have noticed on some threads that the NEW button doesn't function. I click it and nothing happens, but it does work on other threads. It would be good if it had a color change to highlight the button as the other buttons have when you mouse-over (such as Post a reply, Preview, Submit...)  Also, the shape of the mouse pointer should change to a pointing finger. (I haven't read through to see if anyone else mentioned this.)

I see the redesign of the active topics page... I think you need to include who posted last and the time...

    Thanks!

Yikes, what happened to the active topic page. I am young, mid forties and I even have troubl reading the font.  YIKES!! was that an error, just curious, I'm sure I'll adapt if its not,  but it looks a bit messy.

The number and width of the four columns will vary depending on how each individual has the screen set. At its narrowest, as on mobile devices, there is Topic and Forum. As you go wider, you'll also see Latest Post and Created By, both with their post times.

It is intended to cut back on scrolling by having more items vertically. Please keep those comments coming.

The change made to "Active Topics" is terrible. What a hen's breakfast to have to read through. It was fine before.

Don't need the big red NEW on a new post, it covers up the name and was fine the way it was.

Love that you reverted the Active Topic display back to this format.  Looks great and user friendly.

    Excellent.

With the new layout I might stay around.

I hate the new format for Active Topics. It's visually unappealing and hard to read. I liked it the way it was. :(

I really LOVE the new Active Topics table format!!!!!  It is so easy for me to prioritize the order in which I want to read posts and I can easily see when someone has an issue that needs attention right away, without all that wretched scrolling.   I think the table format is an excellent change. I don't feel as isolated as i did without the table for Active Topics.   Thanks Mods and Techs!!!!
