AMERICAN IDOL....Season 11

OMG!!!
-
Karen -- completely agree. Jessica comes across as a bit aloof, and keeps acting like she's won it already. People don't connect with that.
-
AI has a BIGGGG problem with the voters!

-
OMG all I can say is let's see who is in the bottom 3 next week, when they have no saves left. Judges are dfinitely out of touch, I think Skylar and Colton will be the last 2 standing. Exciting night ladies, we were all pretty much on target, it is always fun ladies to share the show with you!
-
*&*^%^&*3 Sorry
not happy missed the ending because we had a 1 second power outage and everything messed up. I know Jessica staying.....It was a weird result show.
-
Sheila, she started singing, got maybe 2 lines out and all the judges marched onto the stage and took her mic away saying you are saved, this is just wrong and words to that effect. Liked your expletive, I would have done the same in your place.
-
Thanks Karen. Maybe i can catch the ending on you tube or online somewhere.
Sorry again but Jessica should have left.
-
Sharing......
<<In Durbin's case, I use the term "performed" loosely, since he was mostly screeching like someone had given him a tonsillectomy with a chainsaw. (I was certainly tempted)>>
-
Hey ladies I agree I also think that Jessica should have gone home. I will be very surprised if she doesn't end up back in the bottom 3 next week as well. I did read today Hollie got the sympathy vote. I also did not like James song he screamed way too much but but that is what he was known for last year.
Hope you are all right and if is Skylar and Colton standing at the end. Love my Skylar!! -
AI has a BIGGGG problem with the judges!

-
Voters?
Judges?

-
Voters - right, Judges - wrong
-
I agree with Karen. judges have an obsession with Jessica. Maybe I don't understand her singing.
I know she is only 16 so Lauren Alaina was the same age last year. She connected with the audience.
Voice is not enough to win this competition....I think that's Jessica's weak point her personality.....
Remember when Jennifer Hudson was eliminated she had a powerful voice but her personality was too strong .........
I'm spoken........
-
I think the save is just silly anyway - it is a public voting competetion but I suppose it adds drama.
IMO Jessica and Hollie both have good, strong, albeit different, voices...but there is nothing special about either of them that would make people want to buy their music. They both seem like they could be performing in the talent competition of a beauty pageant. And Jessica's personality is just a major factor for me too.
I didn't care for James performance either - I think it was even worse with the weird sound effect mic he was using. I like hard rock, but once it crosses into more of a metal sound, I don't care for it. DH liked it.
Anywho, I am staring to think Skylar, Colton, and Joshua final three. I liked Joshua more this week than I have because it was a different sound for him, more fun. I still like Elise but she isn't mass marketable and I still love me some PP but I think he has hit a wall.
-
O.K. Great. They "saved" Jessica last night, and no one goes home. Whoopee!
But next week, TWO contestants go home. And is Jessica's "save" permanent? What if she's in the bottom 3 again next week? They may have wasted their save.
The reality is that SOMEONE has to go home. There can only be one American Idol.
And unfortunately, it's never, ever, really been about who the best singer was.....
(We loved James Durbin when he was a contestant because he had overcome so many challenges, and was from Santa Cruz. Didn't like the way he tried to imitate Adam Lambert, though. Last night - OMG! The only way we could watch him was with the sound off!!!
Most of the notes were o.k., but the screaming part was awful.)So does anyone understand how this "save" works, and how it will affect the two people going home next week?
-
Blessings, no more saves - so Jessica's might have been for naught as you pointed out, I think the bottom 3 will be the same, with the exception of possibly Hollie moving in for the third and Jessica escaping, oh that's right 2 have to go. The judges should know by now which contestants the audience has not warmed up to: Hollie, Elise, Jessica, Joshua and possibly PP, although I'd hate to see that happen. Hollie and Elise go home, or Hollie and Jessica if she doesn't get the sympathy vote. That was ridiculous that they all came on stage like that, yes, she has a dynamic voice but where is the likeability factor, audience connection and stage presence, that is what America votes for.
-
As I recall, one time the judges did a save and the person was voted off again the next week.
If this was really a singing competition we would hear little about the singers personal life. It is far more a personality competition. Jessica last evening said two times, "I have worked hard all my life." On this show the reaction to that would be, so what, so has every one else. She just hasn't developed a public personality. No fault of hers, she is 16! She is probably protected by her family and has spent a lot of time on her music. I have little feeling for her, I don't know her or identitfy with her. How can she get a fan base like this? So even though Randy said at the end that she has the best voice EVER it doesn't shine through. It is just the wrong show, venue, platform.
Personally I like PP, probably because he wore what he wanted to. The rebel in me identifying.
I enjoy the show but it is messed up this year.
James Durbin was singing his style, not the tunes made available on AI last year. I liked him better on the show. I think this is true of all the former AI, they go back to what they like. Thus I am a huge Musical Theatre fan and so I liked Constantine Maroulis, he was a musical theatre performer and is once again. Same for Adam Lambert even though he is doing rock (I think) now I saw him in Wicked before AI, just as chorus.

I liked James in the beginning last year but as time wore on so did he on my ears and nervescwith his screaming. I don't like Heavy metal at all. As for Jessica she has the personality of a turnip and stage presence of one too. Poor Hollie is cute and sweet but she needs more experience or the right producer to turn her on the right path. She could be easily molded. PP is lime Taylor Hicks in some respects he's gonna do his own music regardless. This could eventually hurt him or make him a lot of money. The most marketable are definitely Colton, Skylar and possibly Joshua (if he's willing to step outside the gospel realm and do something else also). I guess we'll have to wait and see
-
mimi, I am in total agreement with everything you wrote!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! nini
-
OMG....No matter where you turn it's how Jessica was saved last night.
I'm sick and tired.....i wish they paid this much attention to hungry children and people without health Insurance.
Thank You.

Are we losing one or two contestant this week?
-
I think 2 ;o)
-
Yep!
TWO contestants go home this week.....and there's a good chance that one of them will be Jessica!
So much for the "save"......
-
I still think Jessica deserves to stay, she has a powerful voice. The best save for me......rooting for her or PP...except SKYLAR that irritates my ears whenever I hear her sang.....can't wait to see her go....
-
I recall someone else getting sent home who had a wonderful voice but had not developed a personality yet. What is kind of funny is that I cannot remember their name! That says alot.
-
Ginger someone from this year or past years?

-
Shoot, I can't even remember the WINNERS of past seasons!!!!
Except for Kelly Clarkson......and Carrie Underwood.......did that big guy Ruben win?
Must have made some impression on me, huh?
Wait! I DO remember Scotty.....oh, yeah, that was only last year....
-
Yes blessings Ruben was 2nd AI. Clay Aiken were the final 2.
I remember Fantasia.......
that cute young girl with a big voice Jordan Spark
And my favorite David Cook.
