AMERICAN IDOL....Season 11

I think Phillip is positioned well for commercial success. He has a very distinctive style, which doesn't show a lot of variety on a show like AI, but probably would sell well (a la Dave Matthews) in the real world. I like him but agree that he may not be diverse in his performances enough to win.
I think this is the most talented group I can ever remember on Idol. It may be due to better coaching, but nobody gets up there and BOMBS the way they used to sometimes in prev seasons. I think Hollie will go tonight, and then maybe Elise. I think she is good, but somehow doesn't quite connect with the audience - maybe an age thing? I don't know.
But after Hollie and Elise go - the rest are SO GOOD. It's hard to imagine one of them being voted out.
One thing I have noticed - Ryan used to mention the # of votes they received every week and thank the audience for them. Now he never mentions it. I wonder if that's because voting is down...?
We DVR it and watch it on delay so we can zip through the commercials. I don't think I could tolerate if if we had to watch it straight through. SO MANY commercials. (And we zip through the judges' comments/banter sometimes too. It just moves too slowly.)
-
I also record and ff like crazy.
-
Didn't Ryan mention last week how many votes were received?
-
Last Night.........
I don't remember Renee.
See you all in 3h 17 m.
-
I don't remember either, my short term memory is shot, my grandkids get a kick out of nini going purposely into a room and having no idea what I went there for. Age is a wonderful thing, NOT.
-
I agree Hollie is going home tonight.
I also think PP could have stepped it up a notch last night, I hope next week he goes all acoustic. BUT, he looked great last night, much more "groomed". I think he's great.
-
Hi all, I may not be on as much as I usually am, my daughter is going to give me a pedicure during Idol, but will sure be watching, wish I had a laptop! That picture of PP was a killer Sheila!!!!!!
-
Guys I am on thru my cell phone which is burning up my Internet usage. My home Internet is still down. To call AT&T I will be on the phone god over an hour to get it fixed and that's if I'm lucky. lol so I may or may not pop in.
I hope it's not Skylar that goes home it is in the bottom 3. I read on an Idol blog today that this lady that has been blogging about idol for yrs thinks the bottom 3 will be Skylar, Elise and PP and that because the judges were so harsh on Hollie she will get the sympathy vote. Hmmm? What's your thoughts. I just don't know if I agree.
By the way her blog us www. mjsbigblog.com

(((karen)))
(((Renee)))
You will be missed
Reneee when do you think the problem will be fixed?
Do they have to save 1 contestant no matter what?
Hollie....Elise.....? bottom 3. I dont think they will be saved by the judges if I'm right.???????
-
Sheila... I am here... We have one on the left side of the stage and one on the right... No indication of which is the best side... My buddy James Durbin (who I loved) is in the house!!
-
i know he was adopted last year.
-
Karen.... Enjoy the pedicure! You can always read tomorrow!
-
I'm here, no daughter yet, Wouldn't it be something if Jessica's side is the bottom 3! I do think Hollie will go home though. No to Skylar being in the bottom 3 - that would be terrible.
-
karen...i was thinking the same thing.
We will find out let's see who goes what side next.
-
Oh my... James Durbin has gone blond!
-
-
Oh my indeed, was he that screamy before?
-
Hi guys!! For some reason, I think Hollie is safe. The two sides seems like one of Idol's little tricks. Maybe she got the sympathy vote??
-
Ok... So that was cool.. James Durbin got married and Stefano Lagone was the best man and Casey Abrams nd Haley Reinhart attended... Guess some of the friendships we see develop are real....
-
i'm little confused now........
-
You're not alone Sheila, what if those that the judges raved about are in the bottom 3--- controversy.
-
OK.....thinking Skylar and Joshua will be send to either side and.....
Colton will be asked what side he wants to go...
What do you think?
-
Could very well be. No pedicure tonight, daughter's allergies are crazy tonight, so I'll be with you!.
-
Sorry for your daughter's allergies but i'm glad you're here with us
-
Yep....I'm thinking the group that we assume is safe (Jessica, Elise) is actually not.
-
-
Save vote will be used tonight
-
My guess is Joshua was voted off. Craziness!!
-
Nobody is going home tonight.
But next week will be very exciting to see what happens
-
OMG - no Randy, judges were wrong, are not taking into account personalities, voters vote for likeable singers, Elise is a little too domineering, Jessica is aloof, and Joshua is a gospel singer.
