Susie, the "offender" you refer to is a BC sister who you are aware is in great distress and she deserves kindness and appropriate help. Everyone has the right to refuse treatment and it doesn't make them stupid, maybe just scared witless.  Her remarks were triggered by the unkind comments in your deleted post, and I suggest you delete the offensive words above too as she can easily find them.

This is first and foremost a support site.

I'm worried too, but I find the best strategy with such people is to let those who are able to empathise and befriend them gradually bring them round to realising there is too much at stake to not use the harsher treatments.  None of us want to let a BC sister with such an aggressive cancer go without sufficient treatment.  Being harsh is just going to cause her more emotional turmoil at a time when she is barely coping.  Most people, when opposed, just dig their heels in more. Being more subtle takes longer but often pays off. 

There are a few more moderate women on those forums who do our best to help our BC sisters make more sensible decisions so you needn't worry too much.

Well, the good news is, my carpet is covered for the sewer problem under my family room floor. Bad news? The repair to the sewer is not. Kind of what I figured. Plumber is coming(again) today to give us an estimate for the repair. I'm sure it won't be small. Sigh.

Happy Afternoon Everyone!

The wind is howling today ... not going to walk the dogs as my allergies are going crazy.  I'm going to call the doctor and see how soon I can get another allergy shot.

Mary .. That sucks.  I hope it's not too expensive.

Rabbit .. I have a couple of weeping cherry trees and they are so beautiful in the spring.  They grow like weeds though!  I had one next to the house I had to take out.  That crazy tree grew to 20 feet in less than three years.

Susie .. All you can do is share what works for you.  There will always be people who think they can cure their cancer through diet and alternative treatments.

Joy .. You seem to have a very caring approach to the whole situation.

Covert .. Have you heard from the doctor yet?  Thinking of you and hoping for benign resutls.

Mary - YIKES!  They always charge so much.  I hope they go easy on you.  Ask for a discount  (springtime discount, buy one get one free, cancer discount, discount for a smile, Happy Tuesday Discount!).  I always do and sometimes it works.  Mostly they just laugh at me.

I just read something about baking soda and spider venom as cancer cures?  The article didn't promote these things, just told about the lengths that people will go to to cure their own cancers.

It's getting colder, we had to use a blanket last night for the first time.

Sunflowers - I know I'm very blunt sometimes, I think we have to be on occasion.

Couldn't sleep last night and ended up finally dropping off after midnight, now I'm up at 5:30 and trying to decide if I should go to work - guess I'll have to.

I hope you all will come with me in my bag to the breast clinic tomorrow. Athena - no Zebra remains this time - too smelly. I'll provide chocolates

HER2+ is scary sh*t. I know we all want the best for everyone. I do know though that my onc is a compassionate man who gives his patients the treatment that has been proven to be most effective.

honestly today I needed the laugh.  Our friend is in hospital with a serious bacterial infection that I presuming got in because his stupid chemo made sores all over his body. I'm so sad for him and his family.  I just am keeping my fingers crossed that he will get better soon.   Frankly if some people want to abandon treatment with a track record in favor of baking soda, lots of brocelli  and what have, so be it--who am I to keep them from their choice?  But just like the people riding motorcycles without helmets, you may feel you should have the right to do it but if you should crash while in your state of helmetless, don't expect me to foot the bill.

I'm not so worried this time as it's only 6 months since the last one. Let's hope the Aromasin is doing it's thing. I'll see if the vollies (volunteers) recognise me with my new hair. It was so weird last time, that they recognised me - lovely ladies doing a great job - I would love to do that when my working time is over - they show you to the dressing room and give you cake and generally help out.

B9! B9! B9!.  I am so thrilled that the bx is b9.  Thank you to everyone for your good thoughts.  I may need another bx for some ADH found on another bx in Feb, but at least the MRI biopsy is B9.

I read over on the alternative board every once in awhile if I want to get my blood pressure up, but most of the time, it's just not worth it. You can't save people from themselves. Sad, but true.

Plumbing bill will not be cheap, but it will be less than half the cost my brain was imagining. Just about the same amount of money as my husband's June bonus. Funny how that works.

Rabbit, I just came in from covering my flowers (annuals in hanging baskets I bought last week) with some old clothes that were destined for the rag bag. I tucked the pots under some bushes so the wind wouldn't blow them over and tucked the cloth underneath so it wouldn't blow off. Crossing my fingers...
