Bak - I'm sorry, is it the top front of your head?  I started to panic thinking that part was not going to grow back on me but filled in pretty fast once it started growing.  Still shorter then the rest but I think after a trim next month it should look pretty even.

justme1 - haven't posted on this thread in a long time but YES I still have chemo brain.  Last Chemo was 9/27.  It's better than it was but Hubby says that was my worst side effect.  Good thing about it is that I don't remember if he's right or not. LOL.  I'm really sort of thankful for it.  I find that I can remember simple things, names, etc...  They are on the tip of my tongue but it takes a while for it to come out.  I think I heard we're to give it a year for it to fully go away.

Heather-yes! front top center is still very thin, I finished chemo Oct. 27th. My hair was always just a bit thin right there, but not this thin! The rest of my hair is getting thicker, but not longer, by the day. Lots more grey than I used to have.

Justme-also yes! I am so forgetful! I a taking 2 online classes and I do fine with papers and assignments, but when it comes to the multiple choice tests I do really bad! I used to be an A student, now I will be lucky if I get a B!

I finally started radiaiton! Patriotic and I are on about the same schedule:) Saw my very first pet ct. It was scary looking! That internal mammary/mediatinal node was HUGE! It was 2 nodes that became one! I think the doc that said I was stage 4 was right, that thing was nasty, and it sat right above my heart. I still think I will stick my head in the sand and go with stage 3, like my mo said, he has to have some credibility, right? Of course he does, I just love him, he did get me to NED!

I can't believe it has been one year for some already! Congrats! I hope you are feeling great and moving along! MamaV-you are a bit ahead of most of us!

Cyborg-How are you doing? Are you done with that cellulites (sp?) Hope so! Are you healed from the car accident?

Did I respond already to if I forget thing?? Well I do all the time!!

I have postit notes all over the place.

I have to get thing in, I am also taking 2 classes online. I have a midterm that is due by tomarrow. I slept most of today. Onlly got up because hubby is not feeling well and someone needs to watch daughter.

I have been having green poop. I thought it was from some creame de mint torte that I have been having, then relised that it had been over a week an it woudl have been out of my system. I think it is from the iron I was takeing.

I am going to stop the iron for a few days or more. maybe it is from the amount of oranges I have been eating .

Who knows. Oh I am so glad that my pain med time is here.

My chemo brain is awful and i think made worse by rads. I find it very frustrating and sometimes kind of funny too. I went to a casino tonight w a friend and I was very slow with blackjack. Uhhhh, um mm, that's 13.... Uhhhh, I want to..... Hit, I guess. Wait, how many is that again... Ok, well.... Just hit me again. Oh! Right, I have to make the hand signal for the cameras... Right.

Jeez, it was embarrassing. Then all of a sudden all cylinders and synapses will work and I will remember something from 20 years ago that held no importance in my life.

And I blank out a lot more when driving. Just not remembering how I got somewhere.

I will be so grateful if it is over in a year.

My bone pain is on the right and left side. I can lay on my stomace (dr orders) , right side is out because of hip replacement (again dr orders), left side is out because I hurt after 30 mins. And I think my but is getting pressure sores.

I need zero gravity to sleep in.

Hey there. My chemo brain was hitting hard core for a long time. Memory not so good but I am thinking on my toes better. I am having some bone and joint pain from the Fareston. Also, I am having some weird pain on both sides near my kidney... Iceel so somatic and crazy. Still taking antibiotics... The infection seems to be lessenig. I have gray, curly hair. It's kind if salt and pepper. Kind of pretty in some ways. It's good to see everyone on the thread.

Hi everyone, My BS removed my port this afternoon. Today was a good day for the procedure because I learned one year ago today that I would need chemo.  What a year!  I decided to have the port removed in his office with local anesthesia instead of going to an outpatient surgery center.  I needed a lot of novacaine to become numb, but it was painless.  I was able to keep my port for a souvenir.  That gizmo saw me through some bad times. Here is what it looks like.

justme - I think everyone is one the tamoxifen or arimidex boards

Elizabeth - you kept it?  I never wanted to see mine again!  In fact, I'm trying to decide what tatoo to get to cover the scar!  (I wanted to get a middle finger with a pink BC ribbon in it - saying F.U. to cancer, but my hubby thought it was a little harsh LOL)
