I'm about a year and five months out from my last radiation tx. I hope everyone is doing well.

Congratulations, Cyborg!
I am still here in Ohio - jobless and still adjusting. I was in the Bay Area few weeks back for my surveillance exams. Everything went well except for abnormal pap smear results.
Anyone with the same experience who is in Tamoxifen? OB/Gyn explained Tamoxifen can cause abnormal lab for pap smear. Thus, I am flying back in two days to have Colposcopy done. Buhuh!

Good luck Laureen, I'll send positve thoughts and prayers your way!
On March 21st I marked my 2 yrs from diagnosis. Thoses are the wicked ones- the dates that come so slowly... but one by one we will collect them like rare art peices. Here's to all of us amassing a HUGE collection of those "dates from diagnosis" otherwise known as cancerversaries...

It sure is good to see posts from you all.
Laureen, I have also heard that about tomoxifen causing abnormal paps. -

Worried,
We're sorry you're here out of concern for your symptoms. Unfortunately, this thread is dedicated to members who went through chemo together in May of 2011 -- you may want to post your question on the Not Diagnosed but Worried forum, to reach other members who may be able to help.
We hope this helps!

Im suppose to start chemo too but Im not sure if it is necessary I think the radiation and pills to stop my hormones is preferable. Im requesting the Oncotype DX test which tells you the chances of it coming back. I understand in Estrogen positive with up to 3 podes positive it will tell you whether chemo would even work or be necessary. Has anyone else considered this. Im meeting next week with my Oncologist to find out. The test is expensive but covered by Ohip if doctor orders it.
