AMERICAN IDOL....Season 11

Me either Sheila they usually don't make it to the top 5... OH well I guess there is always that one in a million chance and they get the extra exposure.
-
Sheila,
I think they started it to put some control back into the judges hands to, essentially, right some things that the voters may have gotten wrong... In essence to give someone who maybe was musically good but maybe didn't get the teen/tween vote a second chance...
Not saying I agree... Don't think it was always in place though... I'm curious now when this started and how many there were.... -
So far so good
-
I think it was 6 and 6 last year and the judges added the wild card, this way does put more conrol in the judge's hands. I'm amazed Chais didn't make it! He may be a wild card.
-
I agree Sheila so far so good
-
I'm sorry, but I *Hate* it when singers "scream" as loudly as they can. I guess that shows off what they can do, but I would never buy it. I also don't like really, really, high notes. Can we have something that I would actually listen to at home and enjoy? Maybe a beautiful tenor in a woman or man or something lower and beautiful and throaty? I haven't heard that yet. Sorry for being such a party pooper! It seems that their all the same, although I am not an avid watcher, I love this thread!
-
Hi Bedo!
Haven't seen 'the one' for me so far either... But I usually am pulling for the ones no one else is... Loved Haley Reinhardt from last year but, she sang an Adele song very well and I love Adele... Was also a Crystal Bowersox fan... -
Karen,
Where are you? -
Boy... Skylar is a little peanut isn't she? She looked so tiny standing in that group....
-
I'm loving all the choices very very much......
Hi bedo......
-
I'm liking them too, but Heejun's remark is not likely to get him very far... LOL!!
-
Sorry I forget the West Coast has not watched yet. Had to delete my last remark. But I really am liking the choices so far...
-
Hi Seaside - I'm here alittle surprised Chais didn't get picked. thrilled Skyler is in and she is a peanut!!
-
Karen... Oooppps you slid in there with a post that I missed..... Glad you're here!
-
To all...
Are we going to try to not reveal names before everyone has watched, which really isn't until tomorrow? Or does that come later in the competition? What do you all think? -
Wow I was shocked at that last round of guys that was up and all were sent back
-
Mimi,
Me, too... They kind of had a rhythm going with... out, out, in, out... then that came out of nowhere.. Somehow I don't think we were nearly as surprised as they were! -
I vote later in the competition........hahahahahaha I don't even know half of the names yet.
-
Not Jen or Erika - I'm surprised.
-
OMG!!!! I am totally shocked by the last guy to go in... the look on Jennifer's face said it all... WOW!!!! Not that he can't sing just afraid he will be very limited in what he sings... maybe I will be surprised. I have been before.
-
me too. mimi, totally shocked
-
hmmmm! surprise vote for the last 2 boys.
I love Ryan Seacrest and the judges are very good this year.
-
Renee...I'm sure they bring him back on wild card.
-
what do you think of the 2 wild card picks so far
-
-
ditto
-
well let me clarify they are not wild card picks yet they are singing for their lives...
-
and the third choice, ditto, they are certainly surprising me
-
I'm wondering about ABEN.
-
Oh she was good, she sure can rock it. One of my favs.
