My hand is up as well.
I don't know why the deleters can't stay over in their other website anyways. And yes, that is who I think it is.

My paws are up for Bren too. Athena is right. Community, hmmmph, more like community disrupters
-
Both hands up here -- and the feline sitting in my lap has her paws up too! Oh wait -- I think she's just stretching.....
-
Hands up here. Bren you are one of the nicest people on this whole site...
-
Bren is all sweetness and light and I adore her! Both hands and one foot up!
-
Both hands and all four of my little Forrest-cats paws up for Bren.
Wishing I could earthquake on command instead of only under anesthesia .... ;-)

HL, our new secret weapon!
-
Hands up for Bren. Hands down for the post deleting fools.
-
You guys are so funny! I love you all. I think I was a little over-sensitive about the whole thing. It got straightened out in about two hours, so that's not too bad.
I want to bear hug all of you,
Bren
-
You hang in there, Bren sister!! We've got your back.
-
Hands up for Bren. And what Anne said!!

Good Morning Everyone!
It's a warm day here in SW Virginia. Temps reaching 70 degrees again today. The only little problem is we're under a tornado watch and we have high winds. Yikes on the tornado!
Did any of you see the article this morning about Komen hiring a consulting firm to figure out how to repair their image? I had to chuckle over that. Yep .. spend another gazillion dollars to figure out something we already know. How about focusing on Komen for the CURE. I'll see if I can find the link and post it in the Advocacy forum.
I'm really missing our Blue. Think I will give her a call today and make sure she's okay.
The news about our Alpal isn't good either. She's unresponsive, but her daughter believes she's comfortable. Hospice has indicated she doesn't have much time left. This breaks my heart.
I hope everyone has a good day today.
hugs,
Bren
EDITED: I found the article about Komen and posted it in the Advocacy forum. Am I the only one who finds it ironic they hired a consulting firm created by former Democratic polsters?
-
And even better ... the questions are worded to ask:
"What do you require us to tell you in an apology so you will forgive us and send us money again" &
"What celebrity would be most believable as our spokesperson to convince you we mean it"
I'd
... but this is classic boneheadedness
Sending (((hugs))) to blue and Allison.
I'll keep my paws up in the air for you Bren ... this time so that you don't have to go to the basement for a tornado warning.
-
Thanks Rabbit ... I don't like going to the basement! I better walk the dogs now before the storm hits.
The questions the consultants asked were hilarious! Let's see ... which celebrity would I most believe as a Komen spokesperson? Maybe Betty Ford. But she's probably much too sane to get behind that organization.

SO glad to wake up & find everyone has their PAWS UP to surround Bren with love. The Lion is so right - it's so hurtful to try to cause trouble, and on a thread where women living with bc are trying to find ways to comfort, support and move forward in their respective lives.
The Mods have been great, reminding us that BCO is still a "work in progress" ( ain't we all?) and dealing with those who can't seem to allow others to live in Peace.
Bren - if you reach Blue, give her our RESPECTFUL loving support for whatever she's doing, and hoping it's a healing time for her...
Off to read Bren's posting/Advocacy. I am one of those "torn" by this - cuz for however much I HATE PINK - I know that Komen gives $70,000,000. a year to Scientific Research - and even know several GOOD HUMAN BEINGS working in that area - torn, torn, torn...that's a heckuva lot of money a year - also hope PRESSURE increases that amount and % of total revenue...torn.. off to read...
-
Lying on my back in yoga position with hands and feet up for Bren. . . .
that should cover my opinion of her postings AND that silly tornado stuff. Now remember Bren, getting deleted is GOOD!!! you get to put a special badge --face with a band aid on the lips?---on your picture to acknowledge your importance. . . .or is the first deletion just a t-shirt? scratching head pondering
well who cares anyways? Why remember guys, it was being deleted that made me friends with you all in the first place . . .
happy Friday!
-
Yeah, 3M - and if, in that position, you shake your arms & legs, you can play "dead bug"
-
Hi Friends!
The storm is moving in, but I haven't gone to the basement yet. There might be some bugs down there. We are having thunder and the wind is howling. I wonder if this is the same storm and wind Anne had a few days ago.
Tim just called again .. for the FOURTH time today telling me to go to the basement. Not going to happen unless I see a tornado!
Hope everyone is having a good day,
Bren

Be safe, Bren. We had hurricane force winds earlier this week. Sorry to have sent such troubled weather your way. I do not miss living in tornado alley...
-
Bren - thanks for letting us know about Allison - it just breaks my heart.
Make sure you stay safe and do what Tim says!!!
Big Hugs to Blue - hope you're managing OK - keep fighting
Well - we have had really heavy rain all night and it's much cooler which is something. I'll have to drain the pool, yet again, but it can wait until later. Usual Sat chores for me - food, washing etc. - boring.
Big sh..t fight over here within the ruling party - current PM being challenged to a vote on Monday. Opinion polls show she is half as popular with the voters than the previous PM. Personally - we can't get rid of this government soon enough. It has been fun reading and hearing what they are saying about each other. The PM said yesterday that "this is not an episode of Celebrity Big Brother" - well they are acting like it - nothing like this has ever been seen before, it's got really really nasty. It will be really interesting to see what happens. We all just wish we would have an election and get rid of them once and for all.
Hugs to you all - hope you have a great weekend.
Sue -
It was 58° yesterday and it's 35° and really windy with flurries right now. And it will be back in the 50s by Monday. My sinuses hate this whiplash weather! OK, I'm done whining. For now.
-
Crazy weather all right! Up to 70 in February?? I am trembling just to think of what the summer might bring.
Hope you are enjoying your weekend too Susie.
HL - how is your recovery going?
Mods edited my previous post here to delete description of deleters. That's ok with me, as long as we all read it - lol!
-
The forecasters are talking about snow here in Seattle for the weekend. Not a lot, thank goodness.
I sure hope we have a better summer this year than we did last year. I know those of you that live in hot places were envious of our cool summer, but last summer was ridiculous. To me, summer is perfect at about 75-80 degrees, and last year, I think we were in the 60's for much of the time.
I'm thinking of posting a question on my facebook to my Republican friends, asking them if there is a Republican contender they would feel good voting for. I know I have a lot of Republican friends and family that are rational, well educated people. Who is there for them to vote for? Santorum is now saying Obama wants more kids to go to college so they can be "indoctrinated". Really???I just keep thinking of the Pol Pot regime in Cambodia, where they executed all the educated people.

The rain stopped for now, but the sun came out, so it's really humid - I hate it. All of my chores are done, so I might have a nap. More rain on the way apparently.
Made delicious nachos for lunch - can still taste it - yummmmmm.
-
So far I've only had 2 answers to my facebook question to my Republican friends. One answered Romney and one answered no one. Either I have no Republican friends, or they're afraid to answer. I'm pretty sure Obama will win, but I wish it would be in a fair race with an honorable candidate.

Lioness - I read it!
Mary - I'm betting Jeb Bush, Christie appear at convention - also think America Elects will come up with a viable 3rd party candidate...should be interesting..the $$$ going into it is amazing, just startling...
-
Don't forget Sarah Palin. She'll have to stick her nose in there somewhere.
-
scoot - mind reading again...I was thinking that, but didn't want to write it...
-
I know! We should call her she-who-shall-not-be-named.
-
Or shwhoshotben, for short.
