Poll: Santorum Comes From Behind in Alabama Three-Way"
too good not to repeat "Eats, Shoots, and Leaves. BTW, has anyone heard of what you find when you google Santorum...toooooooooooo funny...and folks keep clicking on it so it stays near the TOP when someone googles his name....scoot's gonna have a real chuckle if she hasn't seen it yet....
eta - it's still the third one when you google - truly amazing how many people must be clicking to keep it up THAT high....
-
Hi Linda .. up in Niagara! I was thinking about you yesterday and if we were all going to get together again this summer. Hopefully, Scoot won't be in Alaska when it's time to go to your house again. I know it's probably early to be talking about it ... but are we all going again? I sure hope so .. I need to start saving for the trip now.
Sunflowers .. you tickle me with the googling of Santorum's name!
It's still very windy here, and cold too but no snow. I'm not going to walk the dogs in this wind.
Hope everyone is enjoying their day .. I'm happy because I got in a huge report to transcribe, and I need to get back to work.
hugs,
Bren

Scoot - last night was having a heck of a time trying everything I could think of to get my new wireless printer to coomunicate with my Mac. (long, story short, finally succeeded). BUT in the process a window popped up that asked "Do you want to screenshot this page?".
I almost feel off my chair! -

We got some of the advertized snow here in my part of Ontario, Linda. Shovelling it was exciting as it was heavy slushy stuff and I didn't bother putting on my LE sleeve. (There was an appointment at the pub). Mostly I just pushed it with the shovel since we don't have snow banks this year. Now it is all frozen and icy outside. I'm staying in contemplating the insanity of politics in Toronto, in Ottawa and in the Republican primary in the US. It would all be very entertaining if these people didn't have access to actual power.
-
scuttlers - ;-))))))))) We're all laughing with you.....wonder what ever happened to those threateners?
-
Make the snow stop! We have had very little snow this winter so I should not complain (much) but it is getting to be the end of winter and I was hoping for an early spring. We got four inches yesterday and another two or so last night and...oh wait it stopped. Darn it, all wound up and nothing to rant about except ...hmmm...POLITICS. When my conservative friends agree with me that the Republicans have come up with nothing...well, there you go. We have a glove and a reptile (amphibian?) and well ...I won't go there but ewww...
-
Rosemary - wish you could send some of that snow my way....
-
Athena
Me too.

Screen-shotting is the last bastion of the powerless. I think some poor lower middle class person said that. Oh wait! It was me!l
-
I've screenshotted your post.
-
I got another response to my facebook question to republicans about what candidate they would support. It was a rant about how politics shouldn't be discussed on facebook, how this person just does facebook for fun and doesn't need to get upset. Didn't really answer my question, but in a way, she did.

Nooooo!!! Not the dreaded screen-shot!
-
Not sure what is worse-being screen-shotted or Wisconsined.

I am reminded of a FaceBook cartoon I saw that said something to the effect of: "Choosing which republican candidate I prefer is like choosing which STD I'd rather have!"
-
I just wish that politicians would be obligated to tell the TRUTH (and that journalists were informed enough to call them out on lies). A few years ago, we Canadians had to put up with a series of lies about our universal healthcare. Now the Dutch are having to put up with lies about euthanasia.......
-
Palin is not a narcissist. She has been given a platform and she is using it. Palin was accused of using her children and than you had Biden using his children and wife and not a word out of the MSM.
As far as ralling the right-wingers, I think Obama is doing that all on his own.
-
And so it begins........someone created an account just to set us straight.
-
I wonder if TheTruth can report posts under other accounts/devices. I'd say "welcome to BCO, and I hope you find the support you need as you go through BC, yada yada yada," but no use in welcoming old timers.
-
i don't know, but if I get any PM's like I've gotten in the past from some(now blocked from me) posters, I will be copying and pasting them publicly. Why can't they just stay over on their website?
Mary
-
First time here.
-
uh huh.
-
Ok, TheTruth, let's take this to its logical conclusion. I wonder why and how you found us. There are more active political forums on the net. Are you interested in politics? If so, we are all treading on iffy ground here, as the mods have warned us all to stay away from the topic. So I wonder if someone recommended us as a place to go? We don't really talk about politics much anymore so you might be a bit bored after a while. If you are interested in breast cancer, on the other hand, there is loads to do around here, although this particular thread will be less informative than others on that topic. Usually first timers like to introduce themselves so that others can welcome them.
-
Yah right! Suddenly I feel hungry for ......wait for it......BRUSSELS SPROUTS!!
-
First time where? Page 726 of this thread.?
-
Must be the weekend!
-
Last night I had the most delicious sliced and sauted brussels sprouts. I also had Lake Michigan white fish and salad and a baked potato AND a big glass of red wine. Bartender, is the bar open?
-
I like oven roasted brussell sprouts. I'm already having a glass of wine, even before the bar opened.
Mary
-

These look yummy.

Well, it is a new moon, so perhaps it is in a different phase for some. OTOH, at least a few people were recently restricted/banned for falsely reporting posts, so it is not surprising that a new nick popped up. DH's computer? Or library? Or coffee shop wifi? At any rate, after the first drive-by, my phasers went directly to ignore. Baiting us with the intention of getting some of us banned or the thread shut down is not going to work. Been there, done that, lost FAR too many great discussions with dearest sisters who had to leave us (the "slumber party" with KK comes to mind). Besides, they HATE it when we ignore them.
I am feeling a lot better than I was after the first surgery. I haven't even had any regular Tylenol since Thursday. My PS, who I saw on Friday, is thrilled with the results (did I already tell you this? CRS!). He said he and the breast surgeon were talking about me the other day in relation to another patient with pain management problems -- he called me a "teetotaler" because of my aversion to narcotics. He did tell me that it was highly unusual for someone to go to tylenol only just 5 days after a BMX and DIEP. I just wanted to stop feeling so sick and dizzy (and stop having hallucinations!!!) from the dilaudid. Not superwoman -- probably just control freak!
