Blue .. I'm so happy to hear from you this morning.  I miss you and love you.

Just got back from the skin doctor.  The second visit this week.  I had a spot removed from my back under my arm that was abnormal melanoma-like.  It freakin' hurts.  She didn't get clean margins the first time, so I had to go back this morning.  All that sun I soaked up growing up is coming back to haunt me now!  The other spots she biopsed were benign neoplasms .. so that was good news.

Hope everyone is having a great day,

    hugs,
    Bren

((((Blue)))) - You are so right about our brains and I am sorry to hear about your depression. We are here for you whether you feel up to typing or not. I am glad that your Ray of sunshine is around. Try to take it all five minutes at a time if that helps. The dystonia can't help, I bet!

    {{{{{{{Blue}}}}}}}

Hoping they took you off the meds very, verey gradually , still know exactly what you mean about our "brains" - I woldn't start my treatment after chemotherapy with the suggested Tamoxifen, cuz I wasn't willing to go through the withdrawal, change to new meds for Depression.  Anyone who doesn't know the VIOLENCE of that word beginning with D ( capital D) might want to check out William Styron's Darkness Visible.  Doubt if that will be needed by any bc survivors, but just in case...

BLUE - what our Lion said:  five minutes at a time, and if a problem, three minutes at a time. DO NOT PROJECT into the future - ah, anyone who's danced with the Big D know's that's not possible, but the "advice" I always get from well meaning friends...

THANK DOG FOR RAY...and Virgil, but RAY....oh, the F word: Parkinson's, bc, Big D - jeez - well beyond time for the Goddesses and Angels to start sprinklinig golden healing dust on our Blue....

So happy Friday everyone. Glad to be alive. That's all I can say.

Let's have a show of hands. We have a great jazz band tonight at BCO B &G. Our esteemed chief bartender has some exciting cocktails on the menu. Who is joining us?

I'll join. I had a wonderful drink the other night-a lavender cosmo. I'll have one of those.

So glad to see Blue posting.

Hi girls - I'm in major pain. I put my back out on Tuesday and have had 3 physio treatments and am still in pain (not normal as my physio usually fixes me after 2 tx). Just keeping heat on it, doing my exercises and hoping Monday's visit to him will help.

Work hasn't been too good. Apparently I've been the subject of a discussion by the leadership team and I have to address my negativity - WTF!!! Considering I'm probably (like most of us) suffering from PTSD, I think they need to be a bit more accommodating. What's wrong with complaining if you haven't got any work to do? I've been much more positive since starting this new project, so maybe it will all die down. Maybe they should concentrate on one particular lazy programmer I'm aware of and leave the hard workers alone.

Hope you all enjoy your Friday evening - I've got the washing all done (last night) and the shopping done and the rest of the day is to lie around and sleep.

    Sore Susie

Susie, I hear you about work. I cannot WAIT to retire or find another job. Trying to hang in there but I think I am clinically depressed. All I do is sleep and work. And now I am having insomnia several times a week. Grrrr. Maybe I need a nice hot toddy to make me go back to sleep.

Susie and Barbara, I really hope your situations improve. Unemployment rate in the US has gone down slightly, but I am skeptical over what that means on an individual level. I love my job, but the tensions there do get very high. A cancer history and career stress are NOT a good mix. Barbara, so sorry that you are feeling depressed! Wish we could have a job stress support group. Really, you end up practically living with people you would never even choose to socialize with.

    Morning Everybody!

Another exciting day in Virginia.  Going to the dump and the grocery store!

My booboo still hurts.  Sure wish she would have put a stitch in it ... think it would heal faster.

Barbara and Susie .. So sorry about the jobs.  I'm lucky, I love my job, I just need more work.  I worked for a long time in corporate America and was so sick all the time.  It's horrible to work at a place that just tears you down.

Rosemary ... Hope you're feeling better.

Well .. we're off on our errands.

    hugs to all,

    Bren

Yes I do feel better. Prednisone really helps. It just make me very irritable. My DH hides.

Sorry work is so bad. That is hard.

I'm sorry to hear that so many here are hurting and/or unhappy.

Susie-I hope your back feels better and that your job situation improves. I'm really trying on not seeing things in a negative way on first pass myself. I do love my job, but working with children day in and day out can be very trying at times.

Barbara-I'm sorry your job is so unbearable. Work-sleep-not sleep does not sound like a very fun way to live. I hope it improves soon. Did you ever hear back from that other company that said they might hire you in the future?

Rosemary-glad to hear you're feeling a tad bit better.

Good to see you Bren and Athena!

I'm making Mardi Gras colored jello shots this morning for a party we're going to tonight. Green(with tequila), purple(with vodka), and yellow(with vodka). Should be fun!

Actual Mardi Gras is not for another couple of weeks, but the people that are giving the party are from New Orleans. They tell me Mardi Gras is a month long event there. I had the same question, Scoot.
