Otter, so sad to hear of the death of your dear dad. I'm sure there is a large hole in your heart. Sending prayers and hugs.
-
((((Otter)))) Welcome back yourself, and so sorry about your father...
-
{{Otter}} So very sorry.
-
I'm so sorry otter.
-
Otter, I'm so sorry about your father. My father's death ten years ago was also very expected and ended his sufferring. That didn't make it any easier. I still think of him every day, but now it's happy thoughts of things we had in common and some of his quirks. I hope you have many happy memories of your father which will one day comfort you.
-
((otter)) I'm sorry for your loss.
-
Otter ... I am so sorry for your loss. My dad died exactly 3 years ago and I still miss him so much. I know you are grieving and my heart goes out to you.
hugs,
Bren

Have you guys seen the threads stating that Handel from Komen resignedd? Yay!! She's gone!! She did so much damage to SGK, I doubt it can be repaired. I have a long memory and I won't forget that she brought politics into the mess with Planned Parenthood.
Hope everyone is having a good day,
Bren

Otter,
wish I was close enough to put an abalone on your furry chest, and help you open it - no matter our age when a parent dies, we are, in our hearts, very little kids for some of the grief - the whole perspective of the world changes. I wish you warm healing hugs, and lots of loving friends & family around you.
Now - as for what I wish for Karen Handel...heeehn, heehn, heneheennnn...
-
Otter,
I'm so very sorry for your loss. Regardless of how they die, or how much suffering they endured, it's never easy. Never.
HUGS

Oh Otter, I am so sorry to read about your dad. It is so hard to lose the pillars of our lives ... The ones who have known us since we were born. (((((Otter))))) Wishing for peace for you.

Thanks, everybody. My dad really was my hero.
I've spent the past few days sorting through decades (many decades) of photos, picking out some that represent his life. Today I scanned and printed them, so we can display them at the reception after his memorial service. We did the same thing for my mom last year. It helps me to do this -- it makes me realize what a complex lives my mom & dad led, and how much they were loved and respected by everyone who knew them. It also leaves fresh, happy images in my mind, and that's a very good thing.

Otter, hugs!

Otter, I know what you're going through. I'm so sorry. No one can replace our Dads. Keep those happy memories coming. They are a comfort.
-
Otter ... Before my dad died, we did the same thing. We went through all the old pictures, including the ones when he was growing up, and we had someone make a DVD for him. It was really neat as he got to see the DVD and tribute to his life before he died. It does my heart good to listen to the soundtrack and watch the video from time to time.
Again, I am so sorry for your loss.
hugs,
Bren

Otter, Bren, you ladies are so lucky. I lost my "daddy" when I was six. I only have two memories of him. Me throwing a set of keys at him because I was mad at him about something and the horrible memory of my mom pulling a wheeled lounge chair outside with his skeletal body in it so he could lay in the sun. Haunts me to this day. So much guilt that the one thing I remember is being mad at him (don't even remember why). I envy you both that you have such wonderful memories of your fathers.
-
Otter, I am so sorry to hear of your loss. My thoughts are with you. ((((HUGS)))))
-
Otter, sincere condolences from all of us at BCO.

Good Afternoon Everybody!
The sun is shining, but it's cold out ... but, I'll bundle up and walk the dogs. Rain/snow is called for tomorrow so I better get at it today.
Otter .. thinking of you today and sending a hug.
Rosemary .. know you are facing more tests and sending a big hug.
Has anyone heard from our Blue lately? I haven't had a note from her in a few days. Sure hope she's okay.
hugs to all,
Bren
-
I haven't heard from her, either. Our Blue deals with so much, and with such grace. I hope she feels better soon.
-
Blue
Hugs to you.
More tests from the onc and then a pcp freaked out about blood pressure and mishandling the treatment of my asthma. If you don't go to doctors they can't tell you you're sick. And the asthma is probably be the cause of the raised tumor marker that caused the onc to order more tests and the asthma meds are probably the reason for the high blood pressure today. I will try to get in to see the pulmonologist tommorrow but that office fired its PA and getting an appointment is hard. I am so aggravated.
-
Hugs to our thread leader too! Hope you are reading this, Blue.
-
Oh Rosemary, you are having a tough time this winter. ((HUgs))
Blue, thinking of you and sending gentle {{Hugs}}.

Morning ladies. The Dr, adjusted my meds. The dystonia is slowly disappearing and my deep depression us lifting. My Ray of sunshine took a few days off to help me deal with the blues. He's such a wonderful guy. The chemicals in our brains are so delicately balanced that when you deprive them of something I had been taking for 11 years, they rebelled on me and caused my woes.
I promise to be more active but da brain, shesa no work right now. hehehehehe!
Otter, so sorry to hear about your dad, Hugs to you.
Love you gals! All of you!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
