Thinking Out Loud.....

Hi fuzzy....i know what you're saying with the toes but it doesnt happen often or anything.
The arm...sorry I don't know...Are you still on chemo? Do you have LE?
Hugs♥♥♥♥♥

Hello Sheila! I know my eating habits are really bad so I'm thinking I need a vitamin (but I take a multi every day). And, I don't eat red meat so I thought maybe it was low protein ... nope (I've been eating raw pepitas all day). Hurts like heck!
My arm is a different beast. I do have LE but have that controlled with massage, stretching, not eating too much Chinese food (LOL...salt) ... but I'm worried that this is damage from the radiation or from the nerve they removed. My upper arm has been numb since surgery (no pain)..and this tingling-wierd almost painful stuff that goes from top to fingertips seems to be getting worse. I finished Chemo in July, Rads in October. It was very aggressive treatments and the doc's call me "special" because I seem to have nailed every horrible side effect that "could" happen (minus tossing my cookies - never did that - luckily because I would have thrown up all over myself because I was too weak and ill to get out of bed! LOL...sorry, TMI I'm sure!)
Anywho...I see the PS on the 8th and I'm hoping he'll approve recon by the end of the month...kinda soon but I have some toes crossed!!! LOL bad joke...HAHAHAAA oh that's a bad bad joke!! They said 9-12 months after the rads I had ... it's been about 4...
Hugs back at ya!! Thank you very much

Oh...one more thing ... the inside of my left wrist is very, very painful...and seems to be getting worse. I went to the hand clinic, wore a plastic brace, then a softer fabric brace, did massage, purchased and use a hot wax bath to loosen it up, do the stretches ... nothing helps ... I'm thinking that a "damage" from rads too but I don't really see any info out there on it ...

Make sure you are getting enough water in your system
-
fuzzy.....Lot of women are talking about nerve damage after radiation...i don't know if they have a thread about it but you can look it up.
Sorry I'm not much of a help just keeping you company....if I read anything i let you know..
More hugs to my sister......♥
-
I'm pretty good with the liquids...I pee every 10 minutes I swear! And if I don't...I'm thinking I need a drink! LOL
Sheila....I love your company! I didn't see any discussions but I'll look again. Lots of nerve damage? Wow! I was afraid to start a thread because I thought it wasn't so common.
You are very helpful...hugs to you my sister:) -

Did someome say Chinese food???? lol! Fuzzy, you cannot mention OCF on this thread! It makes us hungry!
Sorry I missed your late night conversation. Had to go to sleep.
Your feet: could it be plantar facititis(sp??) My husband had that and it was very painful but manageable with inserts in your shoes.
Should pain..............YES!!!! I HATE IT!! I have learned to live with it. I think it's from the nodes being romoved or rads. About 2 years ago I went to several Drs and Ortho's, and they have come up with nothing. They tell me to take advil.bla bla blahhhhh!!!!!!!!!!!!! ABout 1.5 years ago I went on gabapentin for my hot flashes from tamoxifen. I think the gabapentin is helping my shoulder. It has improved a lot! Gabapentin is helpful with nerve damage. So while my shoulder pain is more manageable now, I do sometimes still have pain (spending to much time at the gym, or walking and swinging my arms). Don't laugh at the walking thing, I walk 5 miles or more a day and sometimes I really get into the arms!
My pain is dull, nothing stabbing. It feels like my arm is very very tired. The pain will go from my shoulder to almost my wrist sometimes. Isn't cancer fun!
Good Morning all! Welcome KMB!

That's funny chris....
Tonight i might go to Chinese Buffet
i've been a good girl for a long time.......
Good Morning

Whoops ... no talk of Chinese here ... got it!! LOL but man I love those Crab Rangoons ... yummy yummy!!
So, I'm going to try and up my Vit D and Vit B12....I'm thinking 2,000 mg for Vit D? I believe this is one that your body will get rid of if you have too much. The wrist issue about landed me on the floor today. So, I have a laundry list of possible causes which has helped a lot (thank you:)
1. Tamoxifen 2. Rads 3. Surgeries 4. My terribly long life style of treating my body recklessly (although...I don't have regrets on that...hee hee) 5. Vitamin deficiencies
I can definitely work with that!!
Enjoy your dinner!!! So...is Chinese food bad?
-
LOVE CRAB RANGOON!! Definitely GOOD!
-
mmmmmm...with that sweet and sour sauce...you know, that red looking stuff that's goooey and sugary....oh yeah....
-
Oh yeah!!! I thought I was supposed to drink that stuff! lol!
-
3:57 pm. a nice walk and shower....now i wait for DD to call me.........
i'm really hungry....sushi is waiting for me
-
Fuzzy, you might ask your doctor about physical therapy. That seems to have helped people I've read on other threads.
-
I love sushi!

Got the funny feet thing too, usually at night..............and it happens when I take my sneaks off............I try everything to avoid it......sitting still, not moving my feet too much, once I take the sneaks off, but nothing helps, so finally I just give in.................."furrow my brow", and wait for it to go away, and after it does I usually shout.........f--k....................doesn't help the pain, but it sure feels good to get it off my chest............................
The chest pain finally went away through the night..............I swear it was the Veg. Soup.........my daughter told me she had the same thing, and I asked her did you eat it today.........................she said ................yes, the day before that, and the day before that, and the day before that..............I sent her a huge container.............today when she stopped over after dropping me off from shopping I said "do you want to take some more soup home with you"..................she saidi "I don't want to see that friggin shit till next winter"..............I laughed my ass off..................misery loves company.....

OMG, I just feel so bad for one of the girls that works at the hair salon I go to. She has 2 young kids boy & girl. Her husband had a very bad cold and they call 911 because he was having a hard time breathing, got to the hospital and his organs started shutting down and he died. This happened last night. Turns out he had pneumonia. They both are probably in the late 30's early 40's. My heart is so heavy for them, God give them strength.
-
That is so sad Deb. I'm so sorry for them!
-
It is very sad. So sorry.
