chip in and lets tell a story and have fun with it.

"Does this mean I am out of the woods and can go home now cj?" Mary said. 'And how is Rick is he going to be ok too?"

"Rick is going to be ok, luckily he had on a vest so at worst he will have a bruise and be sore for awhile"  " As for you going home said cj, we still want you to meet those thugs tomorrow" 

Mary felt like she was in a fog as she followed CJ into another hotel guest room.  It was an adjoining room and about 8 elderly FBI agents were in there.  She recognized many from the bus ride to Vegas.

Mary sat on the couch.  "I don't know if I can go through with this and meet these drug thugs tomorrow," she told, CJ.

"Oh, you can and you will," CJ told her.  "And one more thing, more than likely Carlos has already told your so-called boyfriend Chad to get a hit on you.  You have no other choice honey, it's either them, or you."

There was a light rap on the door.  When it opened, Brad walked in.  Mary sprung to her feet and gave her brother a hug.  "Are you okay?"

"Sore, but I'm fine.  How about you?" he asked Mary.

"CJ just told me that Chad may have already gotten orders from Carlos to kill me," she told him.  "I don't believe it."

"Believe it,"Brad said.  "That's the word on the streets, honey.  They want you gone."

" Well said Brad, you are going to call chad and tell him you escaped from the gun fire and you were questioned by the police and since you didnt know anything, they let you go because of insufficient evidence. Tell him you miss him and want to be with him and realized it all the more because you were worried that somthing may of happened to him."

"I dont know, said Mary. I think chad is going to know somthing is up,  But I will do as you say, and  call him" 

Mary got out her cell phone and started dialing, her hands were shaking so bad she could barely keep the phone in her hand

"At the hotel, in the room that Carlos got for me."  Mary replied.

"I'll be there in an hour or so.  Are the police still there?" Chad asked.

"I don't think so, but I'm not sure.  Chad, it was so scary." Mary was glad she had about an hour to prepare herself.

It was Chad. Odd, Mary thought, he seemed so in control....not the flaky Chad she knew. He grabbed her by the hand and sat her on the bed.



"What"s going on, Chad?" she asked.



"I can't tell you too much because it will implicate you," he said.



"I'm already implicated and I don't know what the hell is going on!" she yelled at him.



"Calm down. After the drug run we are taking Carlos' privat jet to Cabo San Lucas. We'll hang out there until we hear the next update," he told Mary.



"I'm not going to Cabo," she told him.



"Mary,, you have no choice....you're going and that's that."

" I do have a life you know, like work and getting ready to take my Law exam, I can't just take off to cabo because you say so chad" Said Mary. She knew she had to stall him and think of somthing to get out of this situation she was in, it seemed she was getting deeper and deeper. 

Chad grabbed Mary's arm and said, "Look you are going, and thats, that! " Besides, think of the fun we will have, just like old times again we will kick back smoke a couple of dubies and get some sun, have a few drinks"

Mary knew she wasnt going to get out of this mess unless she found a way to get the drug dealers and chad put away for a long time, but the thought of being with chad in that way made her stomach turn....

"WTH" said Chad as he stood up and started pacing the room "When did this happen and how could you do this to me Mary?"

" When we broke things off, and he and I  had a couple of drinks together one night, I'm sorry chad I didnt mean for this to happen, but it did and there is nothing I can do too change it" Mary knew she had to keep this lie up so Chad wouldnt feel her wire, she had to keep him away from her

Chad walked over to Mary and put his hands on her throat and said, " I could kill you right now Mary"

Just then there was a knock on the door ( FBI posing as security guards) Yelling, "Open up so we can talk to you"  Chad was nervous to open the door and started to shake Mary so she would come too!

Mary came too, looking dazed and confused when Brad said " Mary, there is someone at the door I need you to act like you are ok, OK? Mary just nodded her head, she knew it was probably CJ"S bunch coming to make sure she was alright and she still had to play this out for her sake.

Chad opened the door and said "Can I help you?"  " 

"We are security, we got a call saying there was a distubance in here, we would like to come in and look around"

Chad opened the door wider to let them in, 

Mary opened her mouth to speak and chad interrupted and said, " She had hives and was itching her neck , right Mare"?

Mary, just nodded and said, "Thats right"

Brad was not comfortable leaving Mary here with this $ss hole, Brad said, "Well, I would still like to take you to our nurses station and have you checked out"

Chad said, "cool, but I'm coming with"

"NO alone " said Brad, sternely- He may be messing this up but he wasnt going to take any chances with his new found sister that he had grown fond of.

Mary felt a sharp pain in her shoulder and when she looked she saw blood, OMG! she thought, I"m going to die. The gun fire finally stopped.

Mary could barely hear Brad and CJ calling her name. and realized she was being carried out on a stretcher. she glanced at a body covered over there head, she wondered if that was Chad...

"Was that Chad that was in the body bag" Asked Mary.

"No, unfortunately, it was one of our own, chad somehow slipped away in all of this chaos, but not without being shot" Said Brad. "So he will be a danger to you now, not sure it is safe for you to go to the drug house, we dont know if chad is going to tip them off"

''Well, I"m going" Sadi Mary, "I m pretty pissed off and I want to make sure he goes down, he still dosnt know I had anything to do with this,"

"You will go to the drug house and tell them that chad shot carlos because you two were sleeping together, and that chad tryed to kill you, but the seccurity of the hotel rescued you"  Tell them that you are doing this Carlos and because you need the money"

"OK, said Mary, I think I finally am ready to do this thing, lets Roll"

Mary and Chad were back down at the casino lobby valet again. Mary rechecked her makeup with her compact powdering the bruised lip Chad gave her earlier. "How do I look?" she asked Brad.



"Like you never got hit, strangled or shot today," he said, smiling. "The drug house is outside of Vegas, about 30 minutes away from here," Brad told her. "CJ is picking up a car for you right now and the GPS will be set for you."



Mary heard a motor roar and caught a glimpse of CJ rolling up in a hot red convertible corvette. CJ was so short she could barely look over the steering wheel. "Here you go, kid....you gotta enjoy the job perks."

"Who's there?" Mary heard.

"Is this some sort of joke?" Mary thought.

A man opened the door in a clown suit.  Mary wasn't ready for this.

"I guess it comes with the territory." Mary thought.  "It would have been nice if CJ warned me what I was getting into."

"Is there anyone else here?" Mary asked nervously.

"You must not have done this much." the clown answered.
