Thinking Out Loud.....

Good luck Ducky - hope the scale is kind to you.
Instructor showed - they had given him the quiz we were supposed to take today - even though we hadn't had the lecture. Duh. I think I would have gotten an 80 even though I didn't read the material. maybe a 70. Not sure if it will count. He started going over the answers and then a girl asked if we should be doing that - doesn't make sense for us all to get 100's. So he threw them away. Then the girl was afraid we might end up with 0's - so he took them out of the trash. but he never finished going over them so I don't know how I did. This is so screwed up.
It's a continuing ed course at the community college. I was trying to find something I could go back to school to learn so I'd have fresh education so that maybe I could get hired - as opposed to having difficulty because my education and work history are too old. This was the quickest thing that might enable me to get a job that pays a little more than minimum wage. Not much of a career path though. It's technican or PhD. I don't have the time or money for PhD and they say the market for pharmacists is saturated around here anyway. Soooo. We'll see how it goes. I'm supposed to schedule my ankle surgery. Dr. does surgeries on Thursdays. Didn't want to have it during classes, so was going to have to wait until Dec 1st. Now I'm afraid they will reschedule classes that we missed and I will end up missing a class if they go all the way out to Dec. 1st. That would be my luck. Nothing is easy.

I hear you Chris. I am in the same boat! Good for you for pursuing this!!
Good luck Ducky, let us know how you made out.
Heading to Podiatist soon.
GOOD MORNING!
-
Lady bug attack! Silly things are everywhere. Keep having to kick them out of the house. One tried to hitchhike inside on my shirt yesterday. Luckily DD saw it land on me and I put it back outside before it had a chance to climb up onto my neck!
-
Hope you get a good report!
-
We have them here too. They come in swarms. I kinda like them!
-
ducky.....Good luck with your weigh loss.
chris..... take a deep breath and I think the bugs are confused tt sometimes.
Diane......There is a missing 2 year old where you live. what a strange case.
Linda likes lightening now bugs lol
Sandy...How are you feeling /
Hi peeping lady

(((TOL)))
Nothing to report. It's mental health day today.

-
Yes, in fact, that location is very near my real home and my street was included in the sweep search. Very suspicious - she had no gas can upon return, her car started by police, nobody has seen the boy for two weeks, and mom won't take polygraph. Mom has been sent to MH facilities three times. Sadly, I think something is very wrong here.
Not sure if I am flying to DC this afternoon - DS called us late last night indicating labor is under way. They are still at home and we don't have update. Waiting, waiting. It is three weeks early though...
-
Ladies, ladies, ladies............................................another 2 lbs off.....................I can't stand myself today...............I'm so happy, I"m gitty............................thanks for your thoughts and good vibes....................I know that helped..........................yowza yowza...............
-
Congratulations!!!!!!!!
-
Doesn't sound good Diane.
GREAT NEWS DUCKY!!!! You go girl!
Happy MH day!
-
Congrats on the 2lbs! You've inspired me to put on my work clothes and cut up more branches - then maybe go for a "run."
DD just got attacked by lady bugs trying to leave for powderpuff practice. lol
Labor is underway! When DS was due, they said 37 week was considered full term, so could be... Keep us posted. So exciting!
Happy MH day!
-
Diane...Update please.
MH is done. Weight the same 175. Ducky heeeeelp!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Returned the stupid scale to BBB.
now i'm boiling a chicken not sure what to do after it's boiled

-
Ducky good job.
Diane DC I thought they lived where you did? Let us know!!
boiling chicken, feeling ok 2 more days on the poison!! (thanks for asking)
hey chabba welcome
love lady bugs, (they are good luck) and want to get a tattoo of one on my leg!!
-
Me too, I want one on the back of my right shoulder.
I glad you are feeling ok Sandy.
Congrats ducky.
((((TOL_))))))

Update is that she is indeed in early labor and therefore I am not on a flight to DC. They are at home - their doula (whatever!) sent them to get acupressure to encourage birth. DS just called and said he was now recommending they follow the Mom school of labor induction. Simply, that is on both the days I gave birth, I ate greasy foods - cheeseburger, french fries, pizza - it follows the same principal on a smaller scale as castor oil does during labor. I was just starting to cook dinner to bring over to them but now DS is headed out to get all of the above

Sandy - glad you are doing much better this time!
Chris - as usual, run some for me.
Ducky - nice work!
Sheila - glad you had a good MH day. I make Chinese Chicken Salad with poached chicken. Yum.
Deb - You know the old ladybug thing too? I thought I was alone with some of those things from the past.
Chabba - nice couple of days, ha???
-
Can't wait for the news Gramma. Greasy food sounds great! It's been a long time.
Glad you are felling well too Sandy. -
Grease food for inducing what a good idea. how come i wasn't offered that/
Diane...I s this gonna be a home birth with Doula ?
-

♥ ♥ ♥
-
Peanuts or Brie with Mr. Hein ????????????
hurry up and answer please

-
No, this is not at home birth - doesn't everyone need a doula, midwife, and ob-gyn in a private birthing suite?. I was in a room with three others and saw the doc when the nurse said I was ready. I wasn't instructed to have grease by the doc, but my friends all swore by it. Anyway, she is now filling her face
Is that pink, Sheila? -
Brie!!! I prefer mine wrapped in puffed pastry with some pecans and brown sugar on top, baked, so its warm and gooey.......................yum!
-
I ate OCF *Chinese* that night I felt mild contractions, they were coming 5 min apart, went to the hospital to get check out. Was not effaced or dilated. they should have sent me home but I ended up staying for 3 shifts. After pushing for a long time they had to induce me. That was an experience. LOL 6lbs 12oz 19 1/2 in long. I ended up having a spinal. She was 11 day early.
-
Pink it is. It's for Grandma only.
i dont know about birthing suite. i suffered all by myself alone with poticin (sp) to induce my labor.
RPOC was with his girl friend that day and every day. Sorry this is not about me.
-
Brie it is. No time to fix it. i will inhale it just the way it is.
-
Hope things progess nicely for them. So exciting.
I didn't run today. Spent too much time in the yard. I'm so sore now. Too old and decrepit for this. Cut up the rest of the branches and raked the front yard. Still more branches to cut off trees. Doesn't look as much like a tornado hit anymore. Hope I burned a decent amount of calories...
Doula, midwife, and ob/gyn in a birthing suite - sounds like they've got it covered.
-
Overkill and then some, IMHO.
Chris - where do you get that energy? You must be in incredible shape and much younger than me.
Linda - mmm.....wrapped Brie!
Sheila - did you inhale or did you "not" inhale?
Deb - see, my theory continues, OCF Chinese also can be greasy. You just didn't eat enough, that's why it took so long

-
Some bad news tonight .........you probably all remember my stories about my identical twin grandaughter having, identical twin girls...................recall that the 2nd one born had a problem at birth, .............the Dr. refused to do a C-section after delivering the 1st. one vaginally............well he pulled her out by her feet............we knew she was having problems for the past several months.....................it was confirmed today by Children's Hospital of Philadelphia (who has been taking care of her all along (she spent 2 weeks there after she was born , being shipped from where she was born to CHOP.................well now that she is 8 months old, they did another MRI follow-up.
She has a severe spinal cord injury (caused by the foot first birth)...................and she may never walk..............................I am sick........................I just mentioned this because she can use all the prayers of my wonderful "ladies".................I can't say anymore............will probably post the other ladies on other threads that I always frequent, so if you see this repeated you will know why.............thanks girls, and hugs, and prayers...........will go see her tomorrow....thank God she lives 10 minutes away...............my son (her grandfather) is devastated...........he is the son that was by my side through my whole cancer ordeal..............these babies are his life........they were born 3 weeks after I was diagnosed.............God help her.
-
Oh Ducky, I'm so sorry. My prayers will be with her, you and your family.
-
My prayers too Ducky. I'm so sorry for you all. I will pray they will find something that can help her walk.
XOXO
-
omg - that is so awful, Ducky. I hope that they are able to correct the injury so she will walk. ((((((HUGS))))))
