Thinking Out Loud.....

I hate that we have well water and have NO WATER AT ALL when the power goes out. Electric stove so no cooking, no heat.
So sorry to hear about your trees. That sucks!
SHEILA????????????????????
-
Sorry for all who is suffering from this stupid and untimely storm.
We had damage and lot of problems but I'm lucky the storm didn't cause any power outage in my area. Sometimes i think we take things for granted like taking a shower etc.......
This will pass and SUMMER WILL BE HERE SOON

Chris in your pictures i can see my own little yard everything touching the ground it weird. I refused to take any pictures.
Children should be at school tomorrow.
-
Ironically, our town cancelled school for the rest of the week - and then we got power back the same day. They should have played it by ear. If most of the town got power back this soon, then they could have had school Thursday or Friday. Now they have 7 snow days to make up and it's only Nov 2nd. (5 days from this week and 2 from Irene) It's going to be a long school year...
We defininitely take things for granted. Sometimes when I get behind in the laundry I think about how screwed I would be if something like this happened. Before Irene, I stayed up late making sure all of our clothes were washed and ironed. Not this time. Bought some food, but not a lot - had only a half tank of gas in the car - didn't charge my phone the night before - didn't make sure all the clothes were washed and ironed.
Hope your trees sprung back and didn't get as mangled as mine, Sheila. We had a couple trees that made out ok despite still having a lot of leaves. Oh well, guess we won't have as much raking to do this year...
-
You always need to have a plan. My family laughs at me because I fill water bottles, bath tubs and make sure I have propane for the grill. I would rather waste them than not have them. Cell phone is charged too, although were we live, we have minimal service.
Sorry to hear about the schools. Mine are back in school today although some in town still dont have power.
-
I always keep drinking water. Other than that not really prepared for any emergency.
I have a gas stove.
Good morning (Late)
I hope a better day is ahead for all.
(((HUGS)))
PS; I'm starting to worry about Meece.

I hope I'm not offending anybody but I'm sick and tired hearing something every day about BC.
Today is the drink 3 months later drinking will be beneficiary for us. People still singing Happy Birthday on TV it's already November.

I feel like we became a part of a group everybody obsessed about it. But nothing has been done.
I had absolutely no risks to develop BC and I did.
According to my DR it was an accidental not related to my life style.
I believe in keeping a healthy life style not just for BC but overall health.
Enough is enough.
sorry for the long ranting but that's how I feel.
We need a cure or a vaccine not a new study which is not helping us.
HUGS to all of my sisters.
♥
This is regarding the new studies about light drinkingcause of the BC
-
I drink more because I stress out about breast cancer. I know it doesn't make sense but I used to never drink.
((((Sheila))))
MEECE!!!!!!!!!!!!!
-
Rant away - (((((((Sheila))))))))
They'll probably never find "a" cause. It was probably a combination of different factors for each of us. I agree - focus on the cure/vaccine and not how much of any one thing could be a factor. It's different for everyone.
-
We won't get power back until Nov 3, 11:45 PM. @#$$%^^&&***(()))_

DEB...Take a deep breath and think about Christmas & Bermuda. ((AT THE SAME TIME))

This is not funny at all I heard in the news a man fell in septic tank they pulled him out but he was already dead.
-
That is so sad.
I was going over some old posts and went back to Time To Circle the Wagons and hear that chemosabi/paliminoridesagain aka nikki is not doing well, she is failing. From what I read she has stopped tx and is in hospice.
-
Deb - congratulations! Soon you'll be planning a wedding and then a baby shower
Sheila/Linda - It depends on who fell in the septic tank, was it by chance my builder?

Can't post pics on here, I am just too old I guess. Destruction pics soon on FB.
