I hope the Aromasin works. It didn't for me. That was the first AI my Dr. put me on. I was so stiff I could hardly use my hair cutting shears. Femara was better, still some joint pain and my hair falls out a lot and the generic pill is cause slight headaches. All documented s/e.

Susieq....I don't want to scare you, but I've learned to not trust everything that has been told to me. You have to be your own Advocate. When I started this whole thing almost 4 years ago I was told my lump was 'squshi' not to worry. But I didn't want any stones to be left unturned so I insited on a biopsy and guess what? You know the rest of the story because I wouldn't be here posting in this website. Take care of yourself.

Sunflowers. I am very interested in learning more about gluten free or anything else that will help my aching body. I was on Tamox for 2 years. I got used to the leg cramos, aches etc. Then I started on Aromasin almost 3 moths ago. It was great at first and the I have been on a downward spiral. My feet, hands, hips...everything aches. My hands are feeling so bad now that I have a bit more difficulty writing for any length of time. Trying to squeeze fruot and veggies in the produce departartment is just to hard for me. I'm only 50 and feel like I have tuned 90 in a matter of weeks. Do you think the gluten free and any other anti inflammatory foods will help. Any info or names of books would be greatly appreciated.

I am trying really hard to be productive at work which means I read the forum a bit and post the occassional kvetch but  the fact remains, I cannot keep up with you people, you are too darned chatty!!!!  Darn all of you!

About the gluten thing-- a coworker went off gluten and noticed a significant difference in a couple of weeks.  She tells me that stopping for a couple of weeks and then having a sandwich was enough--because of how bad the bread made her feel--told her she was intolarant.

DH says he is going to go gluten free starting in two weeks.  He tried it before but I don't think he noticed too much difference (I think he was sneaking french bread and cheese, thats what I think!).  Not sure what the heck he plans to do with all the pumpkin beer he has been brewing. . . . .then again some people say that the alcohol/fermentation process eats up the gluten.

Tonight is the last night of our local farmer's market---boo hoo!  I am very sorry to see it close for the season as I love the social aspect but then again, it will make Wednesdays easier as Wednesday is also yoga night.

Fresh roasted salmon for dinner with probably potatoes and some salad.  Wish I had thought to make a dessert.

Over there is so over.

Gosh I am still laughing about barfing emoticons - fits - everytime I've gone "over there" I've felt like barfing and whoever said over there is over was right.

O.K. according to the echo report I have severe left atrial enlargement and moderate pulmonary hypertension - PCP is sending me to a cardiologist, they have tunnel vision just like some oncs do and I find them very frustrating to deal with - as I told my PCP I haven't studied up on the heart the way I have on everything else - she thought that was pretty funny - anyway she doesn't know why the enlargement as it was normal last August she said it could just be the way my heart is going as I age but obviously it has to be checked out - they may give me drugs and I obviously won't be running any marathons - I wasn't planning to anyway and I do walk a lot and that isn't going to be curtailed in anyway - the funny thing is I feel better than I have in the last three years - I hate that this has happened.

The good news is my blood report was back and PCP was very pleased everything was great - shoot even my LDL was lower - almost to normal so guess now I'll wait for the appointment and see where we go from there.

We're having quite an interesting evening here in Burlington and probably through most of the region - very heavy rain and high winds - poor dog has been drenched twice and has gone to bed - I managed to dry her off but she sure needs to be brushed - she looked like a drowned rat and I felt like one.

Well girls - I made the appointments for next week. I also called the breast clinic to find out if they do cover the axilla when they do an ultrasound - they do. They were SO nice and even put a doc on the phone to talk to me. She said the surgeons often send people back for another check and not to worry too much. Now we have to hope the goitre biopsy is OK.
