Jenn, are you getting any relief from the pain at all?

Jenn, pity parties are definitely allowed.. Just so sad to hear that Gemzar didn't work for you and that you're having such a hard time right now.. But, as many have shown on these boards there are plenty of times that something else works, and works for a long time!!  Wishing you luck and an easier time with Navelbine..

(((((Jenn)))), I hate to see bad things happen to good people. And you know what, don't bother about your attitude!

When your health is crummy, the last thing you need is to self-police your attitude (which conscientious people do). This is what this is - whatever it is, with dimensions and specifications that your never asked for, did everything you could to avoid, and you are here in the middle, and you don't deserve to be, and you are putting one foot in front of the other and that's all....And you deserve a mega break!

    Jenn,

I am so sorry for this bad set back. You deserve a pity party. It does suck. This rotten cancer is such a terrible roller. oaster ride. I hope the Navelbine works wonders. Wishing you the best, Jenn.

    Jenn,

I am so very sorry you are going through this.  I hope the Navelbine will be the turnaround you need - we are all here for you and thinking of you.  Please don't ever feel you are on a pity party and please let everyone support you as much as we all can from afar.

You are a wonderful group!!!   Thank you and I am praying Navelbine gives me the time I need and want.  I still feel sorry for myself right now, but am slowly getting to a better place.  The pain is getting much better.  I think the broken rib is healing and the pain meds seem to have been adjusted correctly (for now).   Between both I am feeling more comfortable.

(((hugs))) and again, thank you - Jenn

Jenn- I'm hoping so much that this works for you. How did you hear about the navelbine? What is it's basis? They just started me on Abraxane and it's still getting worse. They tried Xeloda and it didn't touch it. I'm going to ask my Onc about this Navelbine on Tuesday. Man I hope it works for you and gives you more time. What are you taking for pain. My onc has me on Oxy every 4 hrs and it barely touches the pain. Is your pain meds helping. I can truly understand your fear I selfishly thought I was the only one who had it moving so crazy fast in just four weeks. If you want to call and talk I will PM my number. You are more than welcome to cry, laugh or scream on my shoulder.

I am sorry to hear of your progression - it is so difficult to deal with physically and mentally.  I hope your new treatment kicks the cancer back for a long, long time.  I've heard good things about navelbine and wish you all the best.  Keep us posted.

Jenn, sorry the stable boy turned out to be so fickle.  I'm no doctor, but it does sound as if the fevers are your body's way of warning you there is progression.  I'm glad your pain is getting better.  Lets hope Navelbine kicks cancer butt.
