bcincolorado- I do the same...I cut the fruit up a few days in advance as I tend to eat fresh fruit salad more than pieces of fruit..go figure....and I bring litle containers of it to work with a few walnuts mixed in for crunch and cholesterol! You'll get there...don' be so tough on yourself...it is a process and we all fall off and ea bags of sour babies every once and awhile (yep...I did it this weekend..in a tent in the middle of the woods....why did I bring it from the car!?)

Hello from the very tardy and errant Robin! This summer has been much busier than I anticipated but it's been very nice. Work has picked up a lot and I'm swamped but the days go by fast. I'll report from last week and try my hardest to be on time this week.

Hi all, sorry was in (mostly) sunny Myrtle Beach last week on family vacation so didn't have scale or internet for that matter. So for last week all I can post is:
Exercise = at least 20 points from sunrise walking, water aerobics and jogging everyday except one!
Water = 7 because in the heat there was no choice but to stay hydrated.
Total = 27, my highest yet and just imagine if I could do that when I'm home and add in weight loss, check in and extra - I'd be over 30!
-
Zogo - I am one of the Rockin Robins originals here... I kinda flew the coop for a while. LOL!! I have been under a lot of stress ladies at work for the last 4-5 months and dieting has not been on the top of my list. So very sorry. It's hard to diet when you are stressed out of your mind. Migraines usually stay on the top of my list lately along with the occassionaly stress eating. No wt gain but no loss either.
I did get some news my boss that has caused me such stress is leaving by the first of Sept. Good or bad I don't know...you never know what is waiting at the other door. This i do know...God answers prayers and there has been many helping me and others I work with pray about this situation. I have to believe God will send us someone good and kind and easy to work with.
I hope that everyone continues to lose weight and have a great summer.
Renee

Renee, So glad to see you checking in! Yes, during times of stress, there is nothing like comfort food. And I can sympathize with your migraines, they suck. I'm sure Sept 1st can't get here soon enough for you, I hope the new boss works out well. I'm hanging on to every last day in August as my first baby out of the nest will be off to college. I've got a tear rolling down my cheek now just thinking about it.
Rockin' Robin Checking in:
Friday 3 pts
Water 6 pts
wt (183.8) 2 pts
elab low 1 pt
exercise 17 pts
ex cred 1 pt (my 84 yo mother made 2 fresh peach pies in the last week (home made criss cross crust and all). I declined both times, but couldn't get myself to dish pieces out for my kids one day...didn't have THAT much willpower)
total 30 pts
-
I've been missing a lot too. I think it's because I'm enjoying the summer so much. The weather here has been so nice (although hot) and I'm soaking up the sun and haven't been on the computer as much. Also, work has been crazy busy so I haven't had much time to get online at work. It's been hit and miss for me and the weight is not going in the right direction. Here's this week's debacle!
Friday 3 pts
Water 7 pts
weight up - 0 pts
exercise - 3 pts
Total 13 points (I think that's a elab low for me
)
Very good Zogo, for giving up the pie! Renee, I hope it will be less stressful for you after September 1st!

I have thrilling news and then I have news.
Here's the thrilling news. My newest picture book has won a national award!!!!! This is my first ever national award for any of my books, so I have been walking on air for the last 48 hours.
It would be a gigantic help to me if you would go to my blog and leave a comment in the comment box (which several folks have told me is a big challenge to accomplish.) I am working like a fiend to make the most of my 15 seconds of fame. Every extra blog look & comment helps my blog analytics.
http://rainbowswithinreach.blogspot.com/2011/08/indie-excellence-winner.html
Then yesterday I wrote a blog post of appreciation for the award and thanked everyone here at BCO for sticking by me thru the long haul of the book (which just about exactly overlaps my BC journey as both are at the five year mark, right about now -- not quite to that milestone with dx #1.
Here's the link to the BC appreciation/reflection post:

So how many points does that get? A gazillion and a half???
Last week we were in GA with my extended family for my niece's wedding.
I am reporting for duty as Captain Hummingbird.
I apparently mistook the 4 word formula (eat less, move more) and got things scrambled up. I am more or less back where I started with ELAB.
I suppose kicking myself would be aerobic? In any case it's time to 'start-over-again.'
I'm Debbie and I weigh 141.6 this morning.
(When we arrived home from GA I was 4 pounds heavier, so I'm giving myself 2 points for coming to grips and getting back on the wagon at week's beginning.)
I'll take 5 points for water, as I know there's room for improvement there.
I'll take 9 points for exercise as I have gotten myself out walking early mornings and made it to my yoga class this week.
Three points for checking in.
One extra credit point for my award and NOT eating everything on the peninsula to celebrate.
Total nice round 20 points.
The main thing is admitting to myself that this is a FOREVER 4 word plan..... can't slack off for weeks on end without reality and the scale catching up.
Thanks for letting me be in the spotlight.
Now everyone take yourself on a walk to share in my celebration!
