Athena, your thread to the mods has been 'disappeared' - did you delete it or did they?

Rosemary - once my parents paddled all four of us because no one would confess to breaking the rain gauge. Cry To this day, all four of us insist we didn't do it, and we suspect the neighbor boy, because he would do destructive stuff like that for fun. On the bright side, it was nice to think our parents knew we would protect each other, so...Undecided

Carolyn - 6 months neoadjuvant chemo (clinical trial), BMX and rads. After MX, I was informed my tumor was weakly ER+ after all (8%)
    Diagnosis: 1/26/2010, IDC, 4cm, Stage IIa, Grade 3, 0/2 nodes, ER+/PR-, HER2-

I think we might have a little more freedom and feel less guarded.  I was gonna suggest to the mods that they create a forum where controversial discussions could take place and only members with 100 posts could see it.  This works too.

Wow - no. They must have deleted it, but actually I was planning to ask them to do so for me.

    ((((Nancy)))) welcome!

Just came back from dinner with hubby.  I will now have a vodka tonic and watch Bill Maher.

I think the mods are correct.  They should make sure that the active topics should steer newbies to the threads that deal with dx & treatment.  I know that when I first joined, I was just looking for answers.  IMHO

Nancy .. welcome!  Please stay and visit!

I'm not upset that we're not on the active list anymore.  Maybe those that don't care for this thread will forget we're here and move along.

    hugs all,

    Bren

Blue, I'm thinking that you may be right. Already I feel freer to speak. It may be an illusory sensation but it's nice not to have to look over one's shoulder all of the time. We shall see....

Athena ... they probably saw here that you had seen the response and didn't want it used as an excuse for another pile-on.

In all fairness we talk alot and were almost always on the Active Topics list.  This gives some other threads a chance to be noticed too.

I think all our friends ... old and new and the quiet ones ... can find us to come visit.

I come from a family of rebels, intellectuals, politicians and trailblazers on both sides, so if anything has even the faintest whiff of having happened due to intimidation as opposed to free will, my mane stands up and my tail curls.

But I bow to your collective wisdom.

Does anyone here have the cable channel "Investigation Discovery"? I am watching it and on Friday nights they have these scary stories about female sociopaths. Quite scary, actually. They dramatize the cases really well.

No snickers, please. I never use the "favorites" list. I've tried about 10 times tonight to add this thread and nothing happens. I check the little box that says "Add to My Favorite Topics" but it doesn't do it. I've logged out and then back in, refreshed, done everything I can think of doing. Help!

It doesn't work unless you click it as you're posting. Otherwise, go to the top of the page and click the link that say "add topic to my favorites".

I don't know how to do My Favorites either.  Going to try it with this note.

I don't use the active thread either. I just go to where I want to read, usually a beeline here.

ETA: Nancy, does he snub you when you come home? Mine tries to, but caves within minutes. He's a sl*t for the petting. LOL

I know Athena.  I'm a non-conformist.  Gets me in a lot of trouble.

    Welcome Nancy!

Not to worry Nancy, by tomorrow morning, he'll be over his snit.  That's but just one of the nicest things about cats (and dogs) -- their grudges are shortlived.  We humans can learn alot from our animal friendsWink.

Virgil gives me the cold back treatment when he doesn't like what I want him to do, like come inside.

Thanks, Riley. It worked when I did it at the top of the page. Linda - dogs don't "do" grudges. Just cats, but not for long.

Alpal -- I think maybe I have to agree with you.  Dogs are too wussy to hold grudgesTongue out.....!

All you have to do is show a dog as treat.  heheheheehe!

Thank you Nancy.  They make my days!  Pinky and the Brain, and we all know who the Brain is.

Athena -- How could you betray your feline relatives?  Have you forgotten?  Dogs have masters, cats have slaves!

On the other hand, if you mis-spelled noble and really meant "no bull", then I'd tend to agree with you.  Dogs can't fool you, but cats can!

Excuse me (clearing throat very elaborately), when I compare dogs, I compare them to domestic cats. We big cats belong in a different class. For one, we eat food that doesn't fit in bowls. :) We also have bigger brains. Innocent

I feel really sad when I realize that someone you once thought was a friend is not a friend at all.  This happened to me recently.  I think Bren can relate.
