Well, I'm showered and off to get supplies - can I bring you back anything - like scones, jam and cream? Our supermarkets in this state don't sell alcohol - but there's a shop that does right outside the supermarket.

Cindy - hope Wednesday comes really quickly. So good you are being seen quickly, and I agree with the others, having cancer seems to put us at the top of the list to be seen.  Fingers crossed it will be easily "solved" - and all will be well.

Frozen bananas, peanut butter, even on Graham Crackers - then dipped in chocolate. Oh, my.  You guys are THE BEST.  JUST THE BEST.  Costco, BTW, has a HUGE jar of Almond Butter, very cheap! And delicious.

Three pages already....not being in the active topics doesn't seem to slow us down. But it eventually might.

Mods, could you please tell us what is going on? I mean, there are plenty of threads that annoy me no end and that I would LOVE to not even see, and yet I have to. I don't think this is a very productive solution to someone's vendetta. If that's what it is.

Did Greta scare you? (If so, which one? Oops....)

I am so embarrassed - I had to PM Blue to find out where her thread went - never crossed my mind to check my own records to find it.  Oh well, I guess they took us off to save us some trouble or to save themselves some trouble - whatever.  Don't worry "they'll" find us - they always do.

Going to find some scotch - later.

I don't know... on the cusp of a weekend and all... IMHO, the timing stinks.

We can still be found if you go to the "Growing Our Friendships" forum, and if you go to the Forum Index page, if we are the last thread in that forum with activity, we will show up there, too. I don't think our lurkers will have trouble finding us. Sometimes I would go to the index to find us if our topic had dropped off the front page of active topics. We'll be OK.

I think a lot of the forums are not showing up on the actives.  The friendship, moving beyond, alternative. Not sure though.

It's not just us ... a lot of others are not showing up either.   I think it might be a good idea ... at least for a while.  It could be said that we are so active that we dominate the active topics too much?

Athena -- I think perhaps it was a smart move.......through no fault of ours, the thread had become "hot".  Staying under the radar right now may be a good thing in the long run. JMHO.

Yes, some threads are not showing up in the Active Topics list now (not just the thread you mention), as part of BCO's ongoing efforts to make the site the helpful and supportive place most of its members want.

Cindy - looks like we both have a busy week.  I cancelled my appt with the PS set for Wed as I don't think I will even feel like going to see him after my procedure on Wed.  So the following Wed I see the oncologist and PS in the same day.  Our lives seem to revolve around doctor appts Yell

I had to think about where this thread would be since it wasn't in the active topics.  Like Susie - I didn't think to look at my own profile to find it.  But......now I have it as a favorite.

Dh has been out of town all day and is expected within the hour.  It is already 7:30 pm so not sure I am going to cook because I MUST go grocery shopping.  We are out of about everything and I need my zoloft!

Yeah, it's easiest to just make it a favorite thread. That's where I always go to see if there's a new post in various threads.

Ok, I wil try to settle down to this. I suppose I wouldn't mind if it were not for the suspicious timing. I would prefer it if the mods had this planned all along and did not make a hasty decision under pressure. Am I being paranoid?

    IMO? No.

ETA: Squee! There's thunder, and the weatherman says some rain will be coming soon! I'd prefer a lot, but I'll take what I can get.

Asiago baked whitefish with salad and baked potato when we went out sfter cleaning up the flooded basement.

Change of topic. Anyone else get in trouble when they were a kid when a sibling did something wrong?

Oh and the great nonprofit reviews are a hoot. Thank goodness our moderators would stop stuff like that here.

Only child here.  Tried to blame cat but it didn't work.  Then again, what sibling would have sat behind my right shoulder at dinner and eatten all my liver?

So I think it evens out......

IMHO, not appearing in "Active Topics" may be a good thing.  I must be extra-dense, because I hardly ever use the "Active Topics" list unless I see a thread there that I've participated in.  When I open BCO (I logout and login each time), I scroll down through the Topic Index (master list) and find the forums I'm interested in.  I'll check those forums to see if anything is going on (new posts, new threads, desperate pleas for help).

That's almost always how I find this thread.  I just scroll down the list, looking for it.  :)

The reason I think it might be a good thing to keep this, and other, threads (or whole forums?) out of Active Topics is to counter the argument that certain threads are ... um, ... well, heck, y'all know what the arguments have been.  Having this thread not appear in Active Topics takes away one of those arguments.  Anybody who wants to hang around can still find us.  It just takes a few extra clicks.

Heck... this change could bring about world peace.

Nancy, welcome and thanks - and do come back.

I'm feeling rebellious, but I wil take this sitting down, then.

Dinner at my club is always good. At the risk of alienating half the people here, I had a side dish of beets - delicious. Salmon was the main thing.

Ah... world peace!  My favourite Sandra Bullock movie - Miss Congeniality.  Every time I watch it, I see/hear something I missed the first time!

Nancy, thank you for your kind post.  Hope you stick around with us, and it's okay if you don't like brussels sprouts! Wink

I could use some gin bubbles but the half bottle of wine was probably enough.
