Arg! Late again! How can a RoadRunner be so late so often?
wgt down 1 lbs = 2 points
water 7 points
exercuse = 10 pts
total = 19 points
-
Native Mainer,
As a Roadrunner, maybe you got caught up in one of Wile E. Coyote's famous traps. Did I see a box marked "ACME" around here?
-
LOL! I think I got attacked by LIFE! Does that come in a box????
-
NativeMainer - love the "exercuse" - tell me it's NOT a typo! It's wonderful! Can't wait to use it! Can you hear the question? "Did you exercise today?" "No, I had an exercuse!" Isn't it easy to come up with reasons to skip what we know we need?
-
Neat - exercuse - now we can all use it!
-
ok..how do I join this one? This would inspire me!!! nothing like writing it for others to see to spur you on!!
-
Sandee, welcome! This IS a great inspirational place to be! I think Meece is the "coordinator" but I haven't seen much of her here lately, and the folks on the Flock team also are notable for their absence. The Roadrunners and Hummingbirds are the most active and challenging! Why don't you join me (at least for now)? I need some company!

Deb...You know today is Thursday yes?
-
Sheila, glad you said that... I was beginning to wonder if I lost a day this week, which wouldn't surprise me at all! Deb, did you have a rough week? Maybe you should get a half point for posting early???
-
Linda..consider yourself joined!!! I don;t generally weigh myself..go by how things fit but I will weigh in next week at cardiac cardio!
So...Friday until now exercize wise- 1111111 (7)

extra points for healthy lifestyle stuff?
1. I threw out ice cream after my house guests left so I would not eat it That's got to be worth something:)
2. I said no to a dinner party, birthday party and evening out
3. I went to bed befor e11pm once this week!
4. I did the exercizes my physio told me to do and do not have to return to her
5. I have decided to have a friend move in so I am not feeling as lonely and lost!
-
Sandee I think caffeine free drinks are considered fluids. Except Sodas.
-
Seyla..ok..not just water then? great. no soda passes my lips so it is water, ea, red wine or morning coffee!
-
Roadrunner checking on time this week!
check in = 3 points
wgt same at 223 lbs = 1 point

Total = 21 points

Sandee, WELCOME to the flock!! It's always good to have additional birdies to help motivate!
As for the water, I think things like lemonade or gatorade count in the water intake. Green tea has caffeine, as does coffee (even decaf) and they dehydrate, and as good as wine is for us, I never count alcohol in the water category. I drink all of the above, too
! Maybe this will motivate you to get in (help me out here ladies, does anyone remember the amount?) at least 32 oz of water a day. I know in this heat, it has been a breeze for me. Is it hot in NS?
I know, for me, being accountable to this wonderful flock of ladies has helped me stay motivated. I'm down close to 10 lbs from my high in February.
Just do your best and keep on coming back.......Welcome, welcome!

Roadrunner checking in from my new home in North Carolina
It's Friday - 3 points
Exercise - ????? - I'm lucky I know what day it is forget about keeping track of my exercise that came in frequent short bursts. There was lots of exercise, mostly weightlifting while walking.
Water intake - 7 points - moving in 100 degree heat means you drink water or you collapse
Weight - 184.5 - a new e-lab low - I wonder if the day we were too exhausted from working to eat had anything to do with that?
Time to send before I lose the internet connection. By this time next week we should have the house's connection hooked up.

Oh, yes, and I also started yoga lessons this week! And don't remember if I told you that I started taking a tap dance class a couple of weeks ago, and have had a blast with it! We had quite the workout today, I got a little winded, and there are actually muscles developing in my legs! And I get to make lots of noise with my new tap shoes!
(I never had dance lessons as a kid, so this is completely new to me - what a hoot!)
-
Linda, Great job this week! I have recently learned that I pretty much hate yoga.....another downward dog and imma gonna die! I do love any form of dancing though. I'm impressed that you actually bought a pair of tap shoes. You go girl.
-

bincolorado- keeping your metabolism by eatingn throughout the day will lower the weight faster than not eating ( I have to remind myself of this all the time as I am gnerally not hungry these days)...body goes into starvation mode and holds on for dear like:)
-
Thanks for the tip. I'll try harder this week. I bought a lot of fresh fruit and veggies today so maybe that will motivate me.
