Saw that. Am ignoring too.

Sorry if asking about soap brands might incite somebody
but thanks for the info Linda. I'm not giving him my good all natural soap to use for his feet but think I have a bar of Irish Spring left and will let him try that.Anybody who wants fuss and drama is going to have to carry on without me. It's getting downright boring.
-
Saw it where?
-
It's ok I found it.
-
Soap on feet? Not that I don't believe it - home remedies are priceless - but how do you navigate the bar of soap?
Rosemary's recipe, with all the creative additions, sounds wonderful. One day...

So I'm gone for a while and all kinds of good news breaks out.
Congrats, Bren, on your son's accomplishment! You clearly raised him well and provided him with the very best role model - you! And I'm happy to hear of your cousin's successful surgery. That must be a huge relief for you!
(((HL))) - We know how carefully you research and consider all options, and we support whatever decision you make! Hugest hugs!
Waving hello to all of my other friends on this very comforting and enjoyable thread!

(((E))) - how was Cleveland?
-
Does the bar of soap have more to do with the irritation factor than anything magical? Maybe the lumpiness under the sheet interrupts whatever brain process creating the leg cramps/restlessness? I'll have to try it - my legs cycle constantly throughout the night. No wonder I can't gain weight!
-
Athena!!
Cleveland was fantastic! I had no idea it was so nice, and interesting - the new and shiny against a backdrop of old, rusty factories. The Rock & Roll Hall of Fame and baseball at Progressive Field. The beaches on Lake Erie. Wish I'd had more time!
-
Athena -- You made me LOL! The bar of soap is simply placed near the foot of the bed between the top and bottom sheets. And sometimes, if you forget it's there, it can wake you up with a start if your foot touches it (cuz it's cold). But, it seems to work!
E -- Welcome home!
(EFT - Edited For Typo)
-
LOL - thanks, Lindasa. I honestly didn't know what to think....
-
E -- Sorry, the soap doesn't do a thing for restless legs. Trust me on that!
-
Linda, I've started sleeping in a ball, arms wrapped around my knees, to keep my legs from flailing all night. I may just start tying my legs down.
-
The soap "thingy" is new to me also. Will file away for future reference.
-
Hmmmm -- sounds like bondage to me! Not to mention bloody uncomfortable.
Seriously, if it's driving you crazy or at least keeping you from sleeping, maybe a mild sedative might help. Ativan does seem to help my RLS (.5m).
-
I have to give pip credit for telling me about the soap. Thanks pip!
-
I'm finding it a tad ironic that here y'all are talking about some kind of natural uproven remedy for leg craps and running down traditional treatment for RLS because of the side effects. . . gosh, you'd think y'all had open minds or something!
-
I'll take whatever works with the least side effects, revkat. And I'm up to my ears in Rx drugs already. No more!
-
leg craps??? LOL!
-
Revkat - lol!
-
Would soap be considered alternative?
-
I tried the soap thing - it didn't do anything at all.
-
Yeah, I suppose my doc would call the soap an alternative tx
. -
susieq -- I've never seen a research study on it, so I'm not really surprised it doesn't work for everyone......
-
If the soap is scented, it could be considered complementary.
-
You mean, as an offset to stinky feet? Yeah, I guess so!
-
Only if it tells you that you look nice.
-
Ha ha ha, Enjoyful!
-
Silly E -- that would be complimentary! Bet you were a whiz at math, spelling not so much
-
Actually it would only be able to tell you that your feet look nice. I guess it would be wise to get a pedi before you start using the soap.
