Ainm, sending good vibes your way.
-
And the winner is.............
PATOO - congratulations!!!!
PM me your name and address and I will organise sending you a little prize - but don't get too excited I did say 'little' prize.
And with that I hand the challenge baton to patoo - when you see fit you can pose another mini challenge - maybe sometime our commitment is flagging!!
Thanks to everyone for the good wishes and vibes - I'm sure all will go well but it's just hard not to feel a titchy bit nervy!!
-
Are you kidding me!!!! WOW. Will PM you shortly - can't wait for my 'little' prize as I'm sure I will treasure it. Now to start thinking about my challenge and prize.
-
Congrats, Patoo! Way to go!!!!
-
Thanks. Stay tuned for the next challenge!! My mind (what's left of it) has been in overdrive trying to think up something. And I already have something really special planned for the end.
-
Ainm - I didn't meet the goal of one point more than last week, unfortunately. If I would have lost .2 instead of gaining .2 - maybe! And if maintaining means exactly the same amount - not even .2 more - then I don't even get the one point for maintaining! This week should be better - I worked outside for 2 hours. That will boost my exercise points! (Except that I had to miss my hour Curves workout today!!!). One step at a time.......Another week, another try - to eat less, move more!
-
Good morning sister Elabers. So sorry I've been away for a while. May and June proved to be very, very busy both at work and home. I'm been terribly remiss in my captain duties but will try to do better from now on!
Very belated condolences to Michelle, I'm so sorry you lost your grandpa.
Congratulations on your new grandbaby Meece! Hopefully I'll find the details when I catch up with all of my threads.
Good luck Ainm - thinking of you today.

Today launches a whole new era!!!!!
I woke up a LaQuinta where the shower curtain was imprinted with the words:
"Wake up on the bright side."
I realize that this shower-curtain sentiment is not exactly Shakespeare-profound, but it really felt like it to me this morning!!!!
A.) I woke up.
B.) This is the right side of the dirt, the bright side!
Have no idea what my weight is as it's been another week on the road, eating out for all meals of the day..... which is never a good thing for me.
BUTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTT
(yes, that's a very big butt: LOL)
It all starts anew today.
I get 3 points for checking in.
I'll take another 7points for the water, as I drank more water in the past week than in the past month. (That was the only way to 'preserve' my voice thru all 14 concerts -- the most I've undertaken in a such a consolidated time in I don't know how long! Made it!!)
Exercise??? Hmmm. I'll take 14 points. Each concert was an hour long and I was wringing wet after each one, having jumped and danced with dozens of children for an hour at each one.
I'll grab 1 point for extra credit: for making a conscious & determined decision to order from Appleby's low-cal menu on the two occasions that we were there.
I'm quite certain from the way my pants fit that I receive 0 points for my weight goal.
*****I can't wait to hear what your challenge to us will be, Patoo!! I'm seriously psyched today, having made it thru my most recent professional marathon. I'm really revved!!
I too get wet noodles for captain-hood, but we can aspire to being better for the rest of the summer!! Thanks for the acceptance, Hummers!!!
Total = 25 POINTS!!
A whole new beginning??
PRICELESS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
-
Checking in for Rockin Robins
Friday check-in 3 pts

Exercise 14 pts
Ex Cred 1 pt (I WALKED to the grocery store and carried all the groceries home including a gallon of milk)
Total 27 pts
Have a great Holiday Weekend and remember to Eat Like A Bird!!!
-
Okay, some of you won't have a problem but others of us will have to work extra hard.
My challenge is a 25 point week, not including the extra credit. Okay, that might be a little high so I will extend it that you can do it either week ending July 7th or week ending July 14th. Do it both weeks and you get two chances in the hat. Winner will be pulled July 16th after all have had a chance to post on Friday, July 15th.
So if you check in Friday (3), water every day (7), lose (gain for those who need) (2), then you only have to do 6-1/2 hours of exercise (13) to make 25 pts. Doesn't sound that hard, right? And, since I can't win, I still must make it at least one of those weeks or... (I'll think of something!).
-
They kept me in hospital until this afternoon!!!!!
Roadrunner running through!!!
Friday check in 3 pts
Weight - didn't weigh myself
Fluids definitely 7 - I had to drink gallons in the hospital!!
Exercise only 8 points
Extra - hospital stay incorporating multiple needle stick attacks (blood tests - bad veins!!), bone scan, decision to keep me in for further tests, more blood tests, drinking two large jugs of the vile concoction as prep for colonoscopy, (and then they turned the water off in my wing and I couldn't flush!!!! sorry that is tmi I guess), more blood tests, gastroscopy, colonoscopy, more blood tests, x-rays .................... I really think that does make me eligible for an extra point ......... 1 pt
Total 19 points!!
-
No change, same o same o:
Humming Bird Check in: 3pts
Maintained Weight: 1pt
Exercise: 17pts
Water: 7pts
TOTAL: 28 pts
-
Ainm, I think you might even deserve 2 extra credit points!!!
Checking in with the Flock:
Friday check-in 3 pts
Wt down 1 lb 0 pts
Water 7 pts
Exercise 6 pts (in car for 2 days, traveling back from vacation! then way too busy for my liking just catching up work)
Ex Cred 1 pt - made appointment to follow up on BSE - not sure what the "new normal" is for me, hoping it is just scar tissue or my usual cysts....
Total 17 pts (*sigh*... but next week should be better... I started a new tap dance class today, am back in water aerobics)

Friday check in = 3 points
New E-Lab low = 1 point
Weight loss = 2 points - down 1.6. Met my Goal !!!!!!! Now have a new goal of 160#
Water = 7 points
Exercise = 11 points (Gardens and weeds needed attention!)
Extra credit = 0 points? Still taking my lunch to work, avoiding the brownies and cookies, but nothing new this week.
Total = 24 points
I'm guessing that patoo won Ainm challenge? For some reason I don't see this announcement. I'll try for the 24 points....I really think that the more points, the more weight loss. Time will be a challenge this week though....
Can anyone tell me how to post without the spaces between the lines? If I "enter" at the end of "Water = 7 points" - it leaves a space between the lines. If I "space" clear to the end of the line - it will put each line next to each other, but then any editing changes all the spaces below and requires lining everything up again! I've noticed that some of your posts have no extra spaces and some have the extra spaces like mine. What am I missing?
Wow - am I glad I hit "preview". What showed in my screen all lined up with no spaces was quite a scramble of spacing when it would have posted! So I "entered" at the end of each line and hopefully this will work - but with the spaces between lines!
-
2hands4me.... I never noticed that but now i know what you are talking about.
-
I usually just go to the orignal post by Meece, copy the points section, paste it into my reply box, then change the numbers by editing, put my extra credit comments in.
-
I can't figure out how to do it at all, that's why o2bhealthy posts for me, plus it gives us an opportunity to chat. I am barely computer literate, have to rely on my grandson to teach me how to do things, he is 13 and dynamite on the computer.
-
-
karen333, that's funny. Some libraries have free courses for barely literate computer folk - maybe look into that? I know there are some who are computer=phobic but I thought they were becoming scarce!
n3ypb, that's a good tip. I'll try that next week because those spaces also annoy me no end.
Okay my friends, I know for most of us it's a holiday weekend but let's get those bodies in motion - it's your health we're talking about here (with the challenge a close second!)
-
Uhhh, deboye, uhhhhhhh, 2 days early. You already celebrating with fireworks!!
