Yes. Sharon we are each & all so very grateful to you for your efforts on KK/Elizabeth's behalf. It meant so much to know that someone was there to join in her hi-jinx from time-to-time. I don't blame you if you need to take a BCO-break, but we're all sending you supportive thoughts as well.
This being Thurs means I now have 2 more days of full time Mary Poppins fun on my own 24/7.
I have met DD's neighbors and have gotten to have at least 3 minutes worth of adult conversation this week -- so I haven't gone round the bend just yet.
It's all of her animals that are making me nuts..... I can just barely keep ahead of the kids, but the circus animals have me worn out beyond all description. I've tried having the big, goofy dog sleep in a different set-up every night, but he just moons and whines and yaps thru the night -- which keeps me quasi awake and restless the whole night.
I've run out of options for goofy-dog. Maybe I could get him to stay in the kids backyard playhouse tonight & I could have one decent night's sleep?
She sent pictures of the beach today and I wanted to jump out the top window.....
They deserve a nice week to themselves. LOL. I'm glad that I could give them this gift. Today is DD's hubby (Air Force pilot, Scott) birthday -- so they really have made the most of it, I'm sure.
xx00xx00xx00xx
Hugs to all dust bunnies: old & new, gone & true, reformed & tumble-weeds, near & far..... of course that means A to Z and back again. Thanks to Coonie for rounding us all up! I dare never make a list again.
-
Hang in there Faith.. and stay away from the windows..and look into the playhouse option, if it works go for it..you need sleep to be a great granma.xx big hug.
Coonie, you are the best. So sharp, like Faith i darn't try to list my messages and thoughts for fear, and certainty of getting some bits wrong or missing a beloved bunny. Get your passprt lovey, for my sake and Sharron as well. Temp is 17 degrees today.(rainy week, garden is loving it, but i miss the sun).
Coonie, Sharon. It is here, just now that I hear the news about the most amazing Konakat. I last pm'd her a few months ago. When I was on here more I also used to keep tabs on her and join in from time to time. She was such a truly brilliant woman, with outstanding qualities that just came out of her words to all of us and had us cheering her and laughing with her and ..impossible to explain except to say that her exceptional self what truly a gift to me and other who read her here. Her personality was so endering and sparkling and unique in the best possible way.
Sharon. xxx 000. Thank you from me, it was great knowing you were there for her with your listening and your amazing food. Thinking of you.
love,
Shiny

Here's a pic of Fynnigan. He is my step-daughter's son who was born 16 days after Zach (my DD):
-
And here is George, my son's son born in March:
-
He looks like he's cruisin' for a bruisin' doesn't he? hehehehehe
-
((((((((((((((Shiny))))))))))))))) it's always good to see your peachyyyyyyy self here:) When you say 17 degrees........what is that in my world?? LOL
Barbe---they're all so cute. Yep--George has both fists ready. I hope they're all able to grow up together. It's so neat to have cousins!
-
Coonie. Lovely to "see you" keep in touch. I think of you so often.
BTW: I have just looked it up and 17 degrees celcius is 62.6 farenheit. Bit fresh. I love 27 degrees which is 80.6 or so. I do like to feel warm especially with stifness and bone/joint pain, as it seems to help.
Thinking of you all and how grateful I am for my life and for you as well.
Sending you peachy hugs and missing dear Konakat.
xxShiny

The easiest way to convert is just double Celius and add it to 30. Gives a fair number. So 17 x 2 = 34 + 30 = 64. Close enough!

I am so saddened by the passing of Elizabeth. What a dear, dear friend. My condolences also go out to Sharon (hugs) - you must be devastated. I am so grateful she had you as a friend. You are in my prayers.
Coonie -- well, girl I came on to say I haven't fallen recently but then I haven't been upright much as pain is getting me down - I think its fibromyalgia!
Barbe -- I know you said you had fibromyalgia - how in the world do you deal with the pain? BTW, those grandsons are gorgeous! You are blessed.
Arnie - yea! It is so good to "see" you. I miss you girlfriend!
Shiny - as always you are a wonder! Hope the pain gets better soon - you always sound so cheerful - when I am in pain I am like a big old angry bear.
Mum - can't wait to see the wedding pictures. So glad everything went well.
Michelle - that is one heck of a friend you have there! Can I borrow her for a few days?
Faith - hope you travels went well - how's your arm?
Well, I spend the last ten days at my sister's while she and my niece went on a medical mission too Nicaragua. They worked hard, saved a young boy's life, and treated a whole bunch of people. You could not pay me enough money to do that - she said they traveled in boats down a river going from village to village. When they were taking the young boy to the hospital it rained for 4 hours - really hard. Yech!
I'll check back later. In the meantime, just know that each and every one of you is a blessing in my life ... I could never repay your many kindnesses, thoughtfulness, care and love. I love you guys!

Bride and groom
-
Yes its me.
-
Oh my!!! Georgous couple!!! Gorgeous dress!!!! I had a hard time typing this I am so excited!!!!
Those grand kids will be STUNNING with such good looking parents!!
-
The gorgeous dress part was for YOU Mum!! You look BEAUTIFUL and radiant!!!! So happy!!!!
How do I treat my FM??? With narcotics. Oxycontin and Hydromorphone. I'm still in pain, I just don't care! hehehehehehe
-
Barbe - thanks. I hate to go that route but I also really, really hate this pain. Love your last liine - I just don't care!
-
Pain drives me crazy. Literally. Seriously. I began 'cutting' myself years ago to distract myself from pain elsewhere in my body!!! My doctor trusts me and knows I won't abuse the drugs. I don't get 'high', I just am able to cope. I drive and function like someone who is not on the meds, but for me to be able to move my body (to bend into a car!!!) I need the narcotics.
-
Just dropping back to see how everyone is after taking some time out from this whole cancer thing. It was more like a trip of denial thinking that if I don't acknowledge it , it will all go away and all will be back like it was BC. Very delusional!! So haven't been wrapping or massaging my le arm ( now is hurting and swelling again) and generally not taking the best care I could of myself. So now my body is rebelling with swelling and my mx scar is hurting (think that is the weather) . Who was I kidding?
Then I see is the sad news about Elizabeth and I realise that the black cloud just keeps hanging there menacing. She was such an amazing, positive and strong woman. So from now I promise myself to do all I can to make it easier on myself and my body.
I love the pictures that everyone has posted.
Coonie , the weather here is cold, rainy and windy and around 14 celsius. Visit anytime.
Barbe, you never fail to make me laugh.
Mum, looking very beautiful
Faith, Shiny, Arnie and everyone else ..you are never far from my thoughts, my friends that even though we have never met are so much more understanding than most of my friend here in the flesh. Love you all.
Also my DS is finishing high school here in December and having a year off before going to university. In Australia you can enlist in the army for 12 months during his gap year. He has applied to and has been shortlisted and now will go on for a medical , physical etc. I am already thinking how much I will miss him and he hasn't even gone. I am very proud of him though.
-
Vivvy!!! I think a year in the army is something that every young man should go through. When we were in Turkey, we found out it was mandatory. It helps discipline the wild oats...... You should be very, very proud!! Now just pray there is no war!!
I can't leave the boards. There are too many lives that I truly care about being written out here every day. I guess it's like a soap opera, but these are REAL lives...does that make sense? I think it does...?
-
Barbe -- I knew what you meant, silly girl! And yes, it is like soap operas but real. You are my measuring stick - if Barbe can stand everything she has to deal with AND keep her sense of humor, I should stop complaining!
Vivvy -- I subscribe to that theory too - ignore it and it will go away. I think it works only with people and sometimes not even them! I can ignore almost anything but I knew I could not ignore that stupid BC. Do you know where your son will be stationed? Does he stay in Australia?
How are all the other dust bunnies?
-
I was told of two cleaning services

the other http://www.fianationalnetwork.org/
Unforntunitly for me neither is in this area. OH I was told by ACS people on the phone. So they are ligit.
Hope this helps someone else.

Happy Wednesday Bunnies!!!
First of all----------------------------MUM -- your daughter has got to be one of the most beautiful brides I've ever seen!!!!!!!! and of course, you're one of the most beautiful mothers of the bride I've ever seen
So is her dress from Kleinfeld's?? I know you told us, but I'm forgetting. I can't wait to see more pictures!!
Hi Candice!! Welcome to the bunny hutch. It's so good to see new faces. After you've been around us for awhile, you'll notice we've all got one thing in common...........none of us do a whole lot of housework....LOL. We talking about everything EXCEPT housework:):) It's a great bunch of ladies though, and I think you'll enjoy getting to know everyone. Please come back and jump right in.
So Vivvy----does that mean it's about 58 degrees F? I'm using the formula Barbe gave me and trying to figure it out. That does sound alot better than here. We're having temps about 40 degrees higher than that, so it's stifling. We're getting a good rain now though, so I hope that helps cool things down just a little.
Thinking about all of you today!! Hope everyone has a wondermous Wednesday!!!
Candice:
-
Thanks Coonie yes her dress was from Kleinfelds. And we saved a large amount by buying it in the U.S. My gown was bought in Toronto at a shop which had great selection but we found out the hard way that their service was not good.Especially since 6 gowns were purchased from the shop.I had to put my big foot down with the manager.
I am still waiting on the shots taken by the pro photoghrapher who just happens to be my DH's buddy. I swear I still feel like I am riding a high from such a joyous occasion. Will post a few more shots when we get them.
Hope none of our dusty bunnies are cleaning house today.
-
Mum - looking forward to more wedding shots - just beautiful.
I don't know whether this belongs under housework or pets but here goes ... when I lived with my sister, whenever her maid came by my cat, Oliver, would go upstairs and hide under the bed. Since he frequently goes up there I didn't think anything about it - just that he didn't like strangers in the house. However, since we have moved (Oliver and me) I noticed he heads for under the bed whenever I vacuum - its the vacuum he disliked not the maid. Fortunately for him, he won't see the vacuum all that much living with me.
-
Hugs, bunnies.
Just hopping thru to see what's goin' on.
Take care, everyone.
-
Kathleen, you do know it's animal cruelty to scare your cat when you know what is doing the scaring....right? No more vacuuming for you!!
-
That includes me then because my Cora is terrified of the vacumn.
-
I am so bad my husband is turnning 60 next month so I went ahead talked to my agent and booked us a week in the German countryside for a week of birding and sightseeing. So he doesn't even know he will be eating snitzle and drinking beer on his birthday. (better than housecleaning) right ladies?
-
Why would that be bad Mum?? I bet he'll be pleased as punch! But why JUST a week? You're over there, do more!!
