Hi Bunnies,
Sorry have been around for a while.
Yesterday I did the Mothers Day Classic walk for breast cancer. And on my tribute card was that I was walking for myself and dustbunnies world wide. Have some photos and will post when I am at home (currently at work) and also need to work out how to get the photos off my iphone.
Am also a TV star!!! I was interviewed at the walk and had a 5 second slot on the local news.
Autographs anyone??
Love to all, you are never very far from my thoughts
Viv
-
Viv well done to you for completing the walk, and now you are a TV star too! Wow! I love that you walked for yourself and dustbunnies. I look forward to seeing your photos.
Today I went for my annual mammo. By coincidence it was 2 years ago today that I had my mastectomy surgery. What a 2 years it has been. Anyway today they took 2 views, looked at the images and then told me I could go. This happened last year, then I received a letter in the post telling me that nothing suspicious was seen. Hopefully the same will happen this year.
I hope all you dusty bunnies are well, enjoying life and continuing to avoid housework. Hugs to you all.
-
Jayne,
I am hoping and wishing for a good result for you . My 2 year scan is coming up on 27 may and I already am nervous and scared just by thinking about it . Last year before they let me go home they called me back in to do a couple more films. This reminded me of exactly like when the found the cancer so I promptly burst into tears .
That feeling of a recurrence is never far from
my mind.
It's this of the year that it is raw and emotional even 2 years out .
Hugs
Viv -
Way to go Viv(((hugs)))

Here's to happy-mail Jane! And Viv, you get a bit stronger every year!
-
Hi Everyone. Sorry i've been away from here for a while, just impossibly bussy these days, and just crash into bed when i'm done doing what i can.I know you can all relate to that! xx
Had ds at home most of last week and got lots done, now as a result of working more with him i have loads of prep meetings and defirentiation to do to improve things for him. he is so keen to work, bless him. I am happy that I have now teamed up with one of his old learning support ladies from the previous school to help him and me to go forward and help him. She's come for a visit and he is so glad to see her, as she taught him loads and she knows he is not just cute, but smart. It was ok on my own but with a partner, I think it will be easier to organise and plan ahead.
Anyhow, blessed, and thinking of you often and sending vibes over to you. It's going to be more silly busy weeks this month, loads to get done before kids on half term and brother in law wife and toddler come over.. Going to a horse riding place for the kids today, they specialise in sen kids and their families, should be good.
just sending love accross the pond.xx
well done Vivi! Jayne, come and tell us about your non eventful results" when you get them!
Coonie, Sharron,Barbe.. no! I am not doing a list!! I will get it wrong. just catch these hugs bunnies!
xx Shiny
-
Good to hear you're still moving Shiny, but what result all the tests? Anything concrete yet??
-
Speaking of tests, Barbe, have you learned anything that you are ready to share?
Shiny. So glad for you to have a co-conspirator in keeping your brilliant one up to the task of learning, growing, stretching and more. Yesterday I was in a kindergarten class and there was a young boy there who was literally a head or two shorter than even the average kids. I kept thinking that he looked like I should pick him up and hug him. Then I remembered your talking on the phone about how the teachers can marginalize your son, by thinking he's just a cutie. So I automatically 'made' myself treat him as a mature child. You taught me much, dear peachie one.
Vivy. Our own star of the set!! So glad to hear you had a moment that the world got to share.
Jayne. What have you heard?
Where is everyone?????
I know that I seem to find less and less 'time' for my prowls thru BCO and I miss the various updates and sharing. I am attempting to regain my life already in progress I suppose?? Seems like there's never quite enough time. I suppose that being away from this network while in Europe has indeed given me some distance. I'm so far behind on so many threads, it doesn't seem appropriate to jump in.
I blather.
Just wanted everyone to know that I think of you continually. Even if I don't get in here to express it directly, as often.

sssssssssssssssshhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh
everyone's taking a nap?
i am going to be forced to do some housework -- unless someone comes along to talk some sense into me...................... i miss all ya'all (that's southern for each & every one of you!)
-
20 months ago I had a total right sgoulder replacement so I HAD to have a housekeeper. After a year or so my husband asked how long do I think we need her for and I said FOREVER!! Now with a bilateral mastectomy I think I'll put her in my will. You can get used to this very quickly.I still do the laundry but that's my choice and yes I still iron but not lately. Some habits are hard to break.Rather thana room i'll clean out a drawer.Barbara
-
I think I need help - The bedroom furniture got rearranged, I vacuumed under and all around the room, dusted then polished wood furniture and held myself back and did not clean the sliding glass doors today.
-
Okay - I will start checking in more frequently - and I did fall again or better description is dumped. I was sitting in my shower chair holding the hand-held shower head when I must of shifted my weight and got unceremoneously dumped on the bathroom floor - water going everywhere! I was a little sore the next couple of days but the worse injury was to my dignity.
Viv - good for you! And a star too! Congratulations.
Faith - Your adventures, as always, are fascinating.
Shiny - I need help too - I look at all the bins I have to find a place for and go to bed - it is exhausting just thinking about it! Glad DS is doing so well and has reunited with an old friend. Take it easy and don't stress yourself. The best thing the kids will remember about Mom was how much fun she was and how loving she was always - not how clean the house was!
Coonie - love the bunny cat - his expression says it all! Yes, I just keep stumbling (literally) through life. I do, however, learn each time. For example, I know hold on to the grab bar over the shower, plant my feet squarely in the top and try not to move!
Barbe - you're right - I do need to check in everyday. Did you get your test moved up? If so, what were the results? I'm praying for you. BTW - happy belated birthday!
-
I think I missed your Birthday Barbe as well.Happy belated wishes hope you had a great day.
Sending Love out all the dust bunnies.
-
Thank you so much for posting this link! My house isn't messy but like so many other women here I've got a list of things I would love to have done and am stressing over. I'll be having a BMX soon. This would be a godsend if someone was able to come to my home.
Michelle
-
Kathleen, I have the grab bars in my shower but still slipped getting out. I had to buy a mat!!! Never had one in my life. The first time I used it IT slipped!!! Had to learn how to really secure it to the bottom of the tub!
My tests were all okay simply by the fact they couldn't find any ovaries!! So, I have to consider that no news is good news! I just saw the doc yesterday for results and he gave me a bladder relaxer in case it is my bladder in spasms. I go back in 6 weeks.
I'll quite happily take belated birthday wishes! I love people saying happy birthday!!
-
Barbe ... I know what you mean. I'm afraid to take a shower - I do but so slowly and so carefully. So glad your tests were okay.
Michelle ... By the way, housework makes you ugly - stay away from it.
-
Barbe!
Belated Haaapppyyyy BBBiiirrrtttthhhdaaaaayyyyyyyyyy lovey!!
Just had to pop in. Sorry bunnies, just been running, doing, then colapsing in bed, and doing it again in the a.m. All good stuff mind, but just not enough of me to get on the net at night.
Loads to do with kids and SEN stuff, then, well briefly, my lungs are fabulously better, ongoing treatment with steroid poweder inhaler and loads of omeprezole, but its doing the trick. Looks like it was GERD causing the symptoms, so have my lung capacity back. Peripheral nerves, and arm, is an ongoing problem, with the arm pain being new for the past 2 months. At hosp for my one good eye this week, as have detachement of the bit in front of retina causing flashes and other clutter in my vision..as it is the only useful eye i have due tpo previous retinal scaring, well, lets just say am attached to it!! Hopefully it will settle soon. Follow up in the next 2 weeks.
xxxlove you girls! I do have some cute stories am sure, but am sooo zonked, and feet screaming. Just back from school summer fete, have put my chickadees to bed, and no to reclaim my kitchen from the cake making mess, then off to lala land of dreams until dh comes home.
xxxxxxx Kathleen, you are such a true doll. Take care of you..no more falling, pe-lease!! hug.
Barbe, Fath, Coonie, Sharron, all bunnies, new and old, catch my peachiest vibes!!
off to the kitchen.
Feeling grateful, very grateful for each and every day.

Does anyone know the epitome of out of shape --- I made my bed today after washing the sheets and was short of breath and worn out!
Shiny -- so glad to hear the treatment is working and you can breathe again. I pray your eye gets better soon. Can't they do something with a laser to fix the retina? Big hugs.
Love to all the dusbunnies - stay strong and stay away from housework.
-
Hi Bunnies,
Had a mammogram today.
Results came back all clear and just to make it just that little more better I have been moved to yearly visits.
Good day and feel like I now can take a big breath.
Love to all
Viv
Will check back with you all after the weekend as my DS turns 18 on Sunday and are having a party for him on Saturday night.
-
Vivvy, that's wonderful!!! You've graduated - congrats!!
Shiny, I'm SO glad you're lungs are getting better!! You must feel like a new woman. And it proves to them that you were a 'hurtin' unit'!!
Kathleen, the epitome of out of shape is me three days ago letting my DH change the sheets by himself!!! Getting off the couch or out of my office is tough!! I try to take mini-walks all day long at my job to keep moving but my knees are so bad with all this rain!!
-
lol, Kathleen, it does indeed!
I applied for the free hosuecleanign services! Waiting to get that lucky call to see if I've been accepted!
Michelle

Bunnies!!!!!!! Helloooooooo.......I've been living "real" life and haven't been here in forever. I've missed you all and even though I haven't posted, doesn't mean I don't think about ya'll!!
Jayne and Vivvy!!! It's sooooooooo good to hear GREAT results!!! Yippieeeee yaaahooooooo! It's such a relief isn't it? Seems like it's always worry worry worry.
My Shinygirl from across the pond!!! You don't know how happy it makes me to hear your lung problem has improved!!!! That's SUCH wonderful news!! Thank God for the doctor who found the problem and is helping you. Now on to the other little tweeks, twists and turns to get you back to 100% peaaaachyyyyyy girl
:):) Hope you're able to enjoy the summer with your DH and sweet kiddos. When I hear about the things you do for your kids, it makes me wish I could re-do my mommy years again. My girl's all grown up now..........but I think she wouldn't mind if I baked more....hehe
Today is her last day of school with 3rd graders. It was a wonderful experience for her. The kids learned some things, but I think she learned MORE from them. Phewwww another story for another time.......LOL.
GrameE I sure hope you're over that little cleaning spell you had awhile back. If the urge hits again, just get out of the house away from temptation.
I know Sharon hasn't been doing much cleaning. Her mind has been on the cute little grand-puppies
:) wish you could post a pic here Lovey. I'm sure the bunnies would love to see the little cuties.
Barbe---sure hope you've gotten things sorted out with your tests and all. It's so frustrating to be in pain and not know why it's there or where it's coming from. I'm not sure if I've mentioned it, but my doctor has put me on something called Flectorpatch (???) I think.....anway, I put a patch on each hip every 12 hours and it has worked miracles!!!! Not perfect, but it sure is a whole lot better. I was asking her if there's a full body patch I could have:):)
Kathleen!!! How's your new place?? I had a feeling you would take a tumble:( You need to look before you step, or just get a roommate to live with you and lend an arm everytime you need to get around.
Mum---it sounds like you've got a busy month with cruising and wedding!! I can hardly wait to see the wedding pictures. I hope you'll share a few with us.
Faithie!!!! You world traveler you!!!! I know it was the dream of a lifetime. I'm so glad you had the opportunity to go. I've been following your blog and LOVE the pictures!!! I think the ones of you with the military families are my favorite. That was a very special mission for you and I know you were wired for days and days. Glad you made it back "home" safe and sound. Time to get the old bike out, huh? (oh, and I LOVED the pics of the bikes too).
Arniebelle!!!!! Where oh where is Arniebelle???!!!!! I hope everything is ok with her and the family. We love you Arnie. Pop in and say hello just to let us know you're ok. Hey to Mr. Arnie and the kidlets too
Sending all you bunnies great big bunny hugs!!! Hope you all have a wondermously brilll brilll brillll weekend!!!!
OH!! I almost forgot to welcome Michelle!!! So glad you found us Michelle. After you've been here awhile, you'll realize that not much cleaning actually goes on. But it sounds like you've got the right idea in calling and having someone else do it for you!!! You go girl!!!
Housecleaning=BAD
-
Aw, thank you! :-) Cleaning is bad but I can't ever stop doign it! I imagine dust bunnies hiding and growing and it eats me alive! I'm a little obsessive but not Jack Nicholson in As Good As It Gets compulsive.
-
Michelle, I know what you mean. I'm always cleaning too. When I DID have someone helping, I spent all day the day before cleaning!! I just love the smell of pinesol.
I read your bio. Bless your heart.......you've been through alot. It sounds like you've got it together though. The thing that stuck out for me in your bio is you have a DACHSHUND!!!! I'm an animal lover and I'm especially partial to dachshunds. I lost my oldest in February. He would have turned 16 in March
Still have my youngest though. He'll be 15 in July and he's spoiled rotten. Neither one of them know they're DOGS!!
Anyhoooooo glad you found our group:) Good luck!
-
For Coonie and Michelle:
-
Bless you Kathleen, and hope you have been having a peachy fall free week! xx xx
Coonie, giiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiirl, no one gives us a round up, like you do, you ARE the queen of the bunnies me thinks, ven when you get busy with REAL life and come back, you are as sweet as cake and sharp as a button. Bless you for saying all we are thinking and sprinkling dust bunny fairy dust and love all round the international hutch! So glad your patches are working!! hug!
Barbe, thank you, you are such a doll, and brave, long suffering doll! I hope you get some releif and answers girl. xx
Dare I say it.. new lemonette stuff to add. At least the lungs are now managed beautifuly, bless that specialist doc. It just goes to show, you just have to keep insisting until you get someone in the know to get to the bottom of things, otherwise it is just your quality of life that deteriorates.
Now I have PVD (posterior vitrious detachement) in my 1 good eye. It is causing flashes, shadows and ping pong balls in my field of vision. Apparently it very often doesn't cause detachement of the retina, just sometimes, but as my other retina is a mess.. Anyhoo, it looks like a wait and see thing, but insisted to have the consultant have a look as well as the registrar, to make sure we aren't missing anything. Getting alot of arm pain these days so will be cheking that out. Once a lemon always a lemon!
Batery life running out so will catch up later!
Kids and hub are peachy!
xx

Coonie, yes I love my baby Raja. He is getting better but with that comes him wanting to be his old self which stresses the crap out of me! He starts physical therapy tomorrow and has his last acupuncture appointment before my surgery next week. I'm the most scared for him. I guess I'm lucky that I was able to go this long through his treatment to get him where he's at now. There is no way I would be able to go through my upcoming surgery if he wasn't well.
kmccraw423 - My baby is a black and tan too! He's a fine specimen of his male breed and he knows it! lol
If I knew how to put pictures in here I would! If you would like to check out his facebook, you may look under Blue Raja Rochon.
Thank you ladies! :-)
-
Yes. It's always a blessing when Coonie comes in and round us all up and gives us all a lovely dust-bunny hug.
Shiny dearest wonder. So glad that your lungs are in proper form, after being lemoned, and just detest that your eyes have gone rogue and need to be supervised. Arggggggh. Girlie of the peaches, we just long for you to have nothing new & novel to report in the health department.
So glad that your hub & the wonder-kids are peachie. Sending prayers that your lemons somehow get converted to peaches and that all be well in your world.
Michele. It's good that you've found us. You have such a love of daushaunds in our Cooniest.
There was a phase when all the bunnies reported to the hutch numerous times thru the week, or sometimes numerous times thru the day! LOL. Many bunnies seem to be entrenched in their real lives and that's something to celebrate, indeed!!!!
We are headed for a big storm shortly. The trees are really starting to sway and the feeling is somewhat unsettled.
Just got a somewhat frantic phone call from DD1 and she was taking the WonderPeeps off to urgent care as twinzee boy has apparently inserted some foreign object into nostril. DD herself had such a trick. Her first two word sentence was, "Corn nose." So she started the conversation with 'what goes around comes around.' Hopefully nostril and object will be sorted shortly.
I am to fly there (Ohio) and be SuperGeeGee for an entire week, on my own, whilst mommy & daddy go to a destination wedding in FL for their best buddy. Start your prayers now for my supervision. Can't believe I've told them yes.
Mum that makes me think of your DD's wedding. We probably won't see you much until the big day is fini. Know that I send you happy thoughts as you get closer & closer to the celebration!
Love to all in the hutch...... those we hear from periodically & those further from the hutch.
