Alpal................you go girl................some people just don't know when to let up, ....or shut up
-
Condescending, belittling, and now the picture, OMG it is my sis - HELP!!!
-
MOM, thank you sooooooo much! Saying that I'm "the expert on everything", why that's just so nice of you. Gosh, you'll make my head swell more than it already has - if that's possible!
As for being an old-timer, the way I look at it, it's not how old-timer you are, it's how old-timer you feel. And these past couple of days I feel just as confused and confounded as any newbie!
Luan, what a yummy recipe! I think it will be Marinated (Chicken) Breasts for dinner tomorrow night... oops, we're not supposed to talk about chickens and menus and stuff like that, right? And we're not supposed to marinate. There I go screwing up again. A double screw-up, in fact.
Will someone please send me the manual?
-
I reported the original post, as I abhor someone getting their jollies antagonizing people in pain, and hiding behind multiple user names to prop themselves.
-
I think Jbinok and mom are the same person??!!!
-
Debbie, read the trash of both writers long enough, and you realize that it is one antagonistic, condecending, poor excuse for a human being, that ever walked this earth...........And I'm being nice............If I said what I really thought the Mods would toss me out of here, and also I would be just like her, and that scares the hell out of me..........Dual personality, well that explains it all............hugs to the nice ladies on here, and that is pretty much all of you.
-
Well so much for giving somebody the benefit of the doubt ...
-
For the record:
- It never occurred to me that MOM and JB might be one and the same person. I still don't think that they are.
- I have never reported any of MOM or JB's posts. As a point of principle I don't believe in reporting the posts of any established member of this board, no matter what the post says. I believe that people should stand by their words, and deleting their words doesn't allow for that. I report spam only.
- I really do plan to make Luan's marinated chicken recipe. It sounds good.
- I don't think for a nanosecond that I'm the "expert on everything" but I appreciate that MOM thinks I am (or do you think she was being facetious?). I haven't had the opportunity to post much over the past 6 weeks and while I'm glad to know that some of the women here who I like and respect have missed me, I think the board has managed just fine without me and will continue to do so should I disappear again.
- I believe that everyone is entitled to their opinion and should be allowed to state their opinion. I think it is the variety of different opinions, and how people state their opinions - here and generally in life - that makes things so interesting. I have a problem only when people do this without having empathy for how others feel or how they may react to what is being said. I have come to believe however that in most cases where people show an obvious lack of empathy, those individuals have psychological or emotional problems of their own. So while I sometimes get angry at these individuals, or frustrated by them, ultimately what I feel most is sorry for them. When someone lashes out at others, usually there's something behind it.
Those are my closing thoughts on the situation.
-
I'm not even sure it is worth posting.
There are some people for whom cancer is a wake-up call, to live their lives with more freedom. For them it really was a blessing, the emotional growth was worth the treatment.
I was kinda hoping I would be one of them.
There there are others who have lasting se's or stage 4 or LE or infections and problems with recon or what ever. Or a new primary. If you are in that club, it cancer is just a dumb PITA!
I am probably more patient and compassionate, I know I am less ambitious. My emotional bond with my husband is greater, but I miss my old body.
And so it goes. There is such a range of experiences.
-
Frankly, I think mind over matter is an antagonistic, pot stirrer and very mean. I find her completely offensive unfriendly and selfish. At the time she will probably get very weird pleasure out of me saying this. She knows its hurtful and antagonistic when she bashes others and calls them names. I do believe jb and mind over matter could possibly be the same person. They are acting like a tag team here. And, if people are hurting others they should not be allowed to continue. Bessie I just feel whether or not there is something behind or in mom jb life making them act like mean to others, they should not be allowed to be hurtful to others here. What two members make it miserable for everyone, here!
Maybe they want to be rejected. Maybe feeling bad about themselves makes them feel good.
II don't know, but I just feel it needs to stop for the sake of the members who are kind people.
-
I think I left right in the nick of time.
-
This was escalating to a very unhealthy level, i was
going to call an ambulance -
I guess one can say, "The gig's up"?
-
Guess I missed the fireworks. All I can say is I wouldn't want her kharma.
-
Here is something that I thought about after reading the new posts today............Your all right
Beesie....I doubt that was a compliment you received. Even though all that may be true what was written, that is probably the only nice thing that came from her mouth. so maybe it was sincere.
Pil.....you are right on with your interpretation of what is going on.....Could 2 people possibly be that mean, it does make one wonder.
Remember just a short time ago we were bombarded on the news with stories about Charlie Sheen, and Lindsey Lohan..........I got so sick of hearing about it, and seeing them as the lead story on every news channel to the point of ridiculous........It was right after my surgery, and my daughter was here, and I said to her "I am so sick and tired of those 2, who really cares what they are doing, they are both attention seeking idiots, and if the news would stop putting them on TV every night, maybe it would stop.......................So I did the next thing that I could to control 2 igotistical maniacs.......................When the news came on, if that was the story, I switched channels till it was over, and then would go back and watch the rest of the news........
People who do things to just antagonize have no sense of compassion, or caring.......they do these things just to feed their Ego's, and to get attention...........Then we get upset with the things they say, (which is normal since no one likes a potty mouth bully), and we answer them with a post of our own......................................so it goes, and goes,........................we feed the Ego of the Idiot...................
As for me, I have wasted my last thought on whether there are 2 goons out there, with equal problems, or just 1 loser out there who enjoys taunting, people who do not need this in their life........How about the Moderators do something about them........Is that asking too much....
I don't report anyone, but I must say it has been tempting.....Language alone should have convinced the Moderators that these are 2 people................or 1 person with a personality problem, who loves hurting the other several thousand good women on this site...........I may be new to this whole cancer thing, but I know an antagonistic, condesending, attention seeking, person, who seriously needs to 'GET A LIFE'........................away from BCO....when I see one.
-
Bon appétit, Beesie, see you around
A Very Special Mother's Day to all the nice ladies
-
Cute Luan, love your flower,...........................You and all the nice ladies here have a wonderul Mother's Day.........
-
Moderators.....................thanks for taking the Post off.............it was offensive.
-
Sorry Ducky, found this one and thought it was more appropriate....hugs
-
It's frustrating to come to a thread and not be able to see the post that everyone is reacting to. Given that we are all adults here, I don't believe in removing posts unless they are 1. spam 2. constitute some form of actual threat. There are solutions to this. There could be a hellbox (old printer's term) that offending posts could be tossed in for those of us who still want to read them so that we can understand what the fuss is about. I guess programming such a method would take work, so I would ask at least that people who love to remove posts that offend them think about those of us who come to these kind of debates after the fact.
-
Cary - I owned up to reporting the original post. It takes 5 reports to be removed by community. I had nothing to do with reporting the rather cute tattle tale graphic and it didn't offend me at all. I'm not sure what rules it broke. As I said, many things the poster said offended me more than "women are back stabbing bitches". I'm not easily offended but IMHO demeaning and belittling the women on this forum needed to end.I never report anything other than spam, but made an exception in this case. Probably won't happen again. For some reason the reporting function has once again changed and now members who report can do so in complete anonymity. I think this is a big mistake but no one consulted me. LOL
-
Just for the record, I did not report MOM. In addition to removing the initial post, they seem to have removed all her graphics, as well. There was a period of time yesterday that she posted several - a couple after I made my comments about moderators.
I've watched other threads where a moderator will come on and essentially say "lets behave now". I was surprised that this did not happen yesterday given the catchy title - just to tone things down a bit..
-
Alpal.............Hopefully it is all over and done with..........it was bad, and getting worse...
-
Being new here I thought the moderator watches the threads here like other forums I belonged, ie.my art forum. I guess not. However, I do feel it was appropriately handled.
Thank you
-
Pil, are you doing this on purpose.................I'm warning you, you better keep your location a secret, and put an security device on that baby .........I'm coming to get him......I could eat that face.
-
ha ha he is my baby. He is 10 months old now. My little red boston had a brain tumor and I had to put him down last June 23 then one month later my new baby was born. He is a July baby.
His name is Baxter Jon. I have a really cute video of the two cats and Baxter. I will get the link and post it.
-
here you go ,.... listen you can here a little meow from teapot.
-
10 months old, now I'm really gonna steal him...............all trained and everything.....hey it doesn't get any better then that.
Another daughter has a Boston too...His name is Bullet, and he is 14 years old......He was my dog Mark's brother........Well he too now has dementia, is having problems with his eys, and his hearing (oh yea forgot to mention my dog was hard of hearing too)......anyway, now Bullet is having problems with holding his urine, and will Poop at the drop of a hat..........Not a mess, but just hard for my daughter...........her and her husband both work, and she won't crate him...I told her she has to do this or come home everyday and clean a mess.........She won't put him down. She says........"excuse me Mom, if you started pooping your pants, should I put you down".....well I didn't say that, but she has to crate him so she doesn't have the mess.....this girl is on her hands and knees every night after work scrubbing the kitchen floor with Lysol....He is a sweet little guy, but it is getting out of control.
However your guy is sweet, and I will have to check the video......
-
Pil, just checked the video.....................................you are so gonna lose that Pup....oh my God he is gorgeous........he looks just like our first Boston.........Bossman ...................oh your putting thoughts in my head....
by the way I'm not a cat person, but Teapot is a a cutie...............great video
-
lol I am glad you enjoyed it.
He is just 12 weeks here in my art studio. We put our old sofa in the studio when we purchased a new one for the house. It works. The animals are so comfy.

Baxter is 8 weeks here. I just brought him home the day before.
http://youtu.be/mYNiY4Tn12g
Here is another one where I caught Teapot charging at Baxter. It was really funny to see. I should loop the point where Teapot jumps over Baxter and surprises him.
http://youtu.be/fXw5V1oobIA
I love filming my animals.
can you tell. LOL
