Tracey & Karen - my thoughts and prayers are with you and your families.
I have good news... my ejection fraction went up 3 more points (up to 45 now). It took 2 years to go from 35 to 45, so I figure I'll be in the normal range in 6 months to a year. yay! I will be so happy to get off the heart meds.
Laura - I will add those threads to my favorites, thanks!
Juli

Karen, Glad your son's surgery went well. God is looking over him- Keep strong and know that we are all here for you.
Juli - Wonderful news! Hope you can get off those meds for good!
Laura, Hope you;re feeling better soon - thanks for being you, always there to help out others.
Suzie, Can't wait to hear the good news! Good luck with your Dr's appt's. Keeping my fingers crossed for you up here in Canada!

Glad to hear that his surgery went well..Our prayers were answered
-
Thought I would post my good news too.
Had been concerned about dizzy spells and lower back pain. I was only about 3 months from completing treatment when this started. Everyone knows were my mine went too...So moved up appt with ONC and went over everything. He ordered Bone Scan and Brain MRI, plus complete bloodwork up. Had meeting with him today to go over everything - Happy to report that the tests were clear. I am fine! Vegas here I come! Yea!
During all of this, my beloved 9 yr old German Shepherd got sick. Come to find out her gall bladder had burst. She had emergency surgery and is doing fine. Staples came out yesterday, she is back to her old (young) crazy self. Double Yea!
Thoughts and prayers to all of those who are going thru issues with themselves and loved ones.
-
Tracey -- I have not been on here for a while. So sorry to hear about your husband. I hope he is OK and heals quickly.
Karen... you know my thoughts are with you and Ryan. Take care...all of you.
Julie...glad to hear your EF is improving. Is the heart damage form the chemo? I can't remember the details.
To all the Vegas newbies...WELCOME! You will have the time of your life!
-
stlcardsfan, YAY! Welcome to Vegas! Happy for you that everything came out clear! Glad to hear your poor dog is doing well also....so sad when a pet is sick but good news that she is doing well after her surgery.

So happy to hear Ryan's surgery went well. Susie glad to hear all is well with you. Stlcardsfan so glad to hear your good news.
Well, I had a bilateral MRI today and waiting to hear the results. Thought it was all about the implants, but it was with contrast and about the breast tissue. I know nothing is wrong, but am having a few doubts. Wish me luck.

Yay for good surgery results and benign tests!
-
hi girls....thanks for all the love....my son is a walking miracle.....he broke his collarbone and his neck....they attempted to correct with halo traction....twice for a total of 28 hours....pure torcher.......55 lbs hanging off his neck but it was not successful and required suregery to fuse c3 and c4 and put 2 screws in and wire around it....surgeon told us that all the surrounding tissue was "pristine"...he had never seen anything like it. ...thats the power of prayer!!!! ryan is only 22, and this has been harder than anything we have ever endured.....today is our 27th wedding anniversary,,,,and we could not have gotten a better blessing....i just wanted to post an update, and tell you all thankyou....i am sooooo very sleep deprived, and it has not all sank in yet,,,,,but i am trying to unwind as i happily listen to Ryan snoring........i am sleeping for the next couple of days....cuz i have some celebrating to do in Vegas....hugs to all Karen
-
Karen - Great news! Wishing speedy healing for Ryan and lots of sleep for you.
Stlcardsfan - Congrats on the clear test results! So glad your doggie made it through all that. Wow!
Cheryl - Good Luck! When do you think you will get the results?

Hi all,
Thanks for the prayers. Well thay have worked, the test results were benign. I am so releived. The end of May will be three years for me and I do not want to mess that up with a recurrance.
Elton John will bi in Vegas whhen we are there. A few of us will be attending the Sunday night show. Please let me know if you are interested in going. I am trying to book everyone together and maybe able to get a discount.
Estepp, is it possible to post the Elton John info on FB and have anyone intersted to post on this site for me. I am still the most electronically challenged person around.
Sending (((((HUGS and PRAYERS)))))

Yeah Great news all around!! Just makes me more proud & honored to be part of this fantastic group of ladies!!!!
Wow, Elton John- that will be a blast! Last year Jermane Jackson, now Elton!! Tracey & Jazzy, guess there will be no seeking into this sound check
Just a idea..Cheryl...maybe let them know about the group & perhaps get a discount or VIP seats, never hurts to try!! I"M SO JEALOUS!!!!!!
Ok girls, please send some Power Prayers my way for my 72 year young DAD!! He's been dealing with a horrible rash from his finger tips now past his elbows for over 3 weeks, swelling to the point couldn't see his knuckles & blisters, skin cracking due to the swelling-I already checked him for MRSA(doesn't have some of the signs-keeping fingers crossed). The Dr. hasn't figured it out after 3 appt.s & creams along with meds & no clue to what it is. Very itchy & still growing, my sister has been keeping an eye on him & I made a appt. for him to see my skin specialist tomorrow-got lucky & there happen to be a cancelled one. I wish it was me, proven I can beat this kind of CRAP..do not like seeing him in any kind of pain!!
Thanx TA TA'S (((HUGS))) Take care Chow GOD BLESS
XOXO Susie

Is it too late to join in? I wasn't able to go last year (it would have been my first), but have the date blocked on my calendar ...
-
Frosty - sounds like a plan.
-
WISHING EVERYONE A SAFE WEEKEND & A HOPPY EASTER !! GOD BLESS
-
Never too late to join Frosty
-
Hi Ladies - one of the newbies who will be joining you this year along with three of my sisters from Chemo Sept. 09. We are all excited and can't wait to meet you. I went back and read last year's TATA reunion posts. Sounds like you had a wonderful time.
Juli50 - would love to catch up with you in Vegas and discuss ejection fractions. I also did Herceptin and ended up in Cardiac ICU in Jan. & Feb. of this year and now on heart medicine until who knows when!
I will talk with my sisters, we are planning on going to Beatles Love on Sat. but might be interested in Elton John too! This sounds like so much fun and I'm already wondering what to pack!
Anyone from NC going?
Jane
-
Hi Jane - Would love to talk EF's with you. Cute doggies! What kind are they?
Juli
-
Hi girls! Hope you're all doing well.
What will the temps (day and night) be in Vegas at the end of September?
-
It's pretty pleasant there at that time of year -- if I remember right it was spring-like weather and maybe a light jacket or sweater at night. The hotel/casinos, restaurants, and other venues are all HIGHLY air conditioned as well -- so a sweater is in order for that regardless.
Other than that, it's really just wear what you want in Vegas. Dress up, dress down -- whatever you are comfortable wearing. Last year we all dressed up for one night... but the rest of the time we were casually dressed.
