Ok ladies......I have a confession..... to my TaTa's...
Most of you know me by Laura..... have known me by my first name since 08/09. WELLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLL
I am actually not the first... very active poster on BCO named Laura.......
Oh yes... there are many Laura's on BCO.... but not so many with 5800 posts...LOL ( my mouth)
anyway.......
LAURA GTO ( she is a NEW Tatasister to Vegas this year).... she is ACTUALLY one of the original active posting Laura's....HEHE She was here... on BCO... helping others..... giving advice.... and fighting for the American Way ( lol ) longggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggg before this Laura showed up.
So I wanted to introduce her to you all....... she has been on BCO since 2005.... and though, I have never met her .... outside of FB and here..... I feel safe in saying.... she is going to be a welcomed TATA SISTER!
Welcome " Laura #1" to the group....:) Actually.... I think I will call her...GTO.
Welcome to ALL THE NEW sisters I do not know yet also...
Vegas 2011.............................. watchout............
-
Welcome Laura GTO can't wait to meet you (As one troublemaker to another
Susie -- so glad you are doing such a good job of healing! Keep it up!
-
Hi Ladies!
So I finally broke down and went and got my pap, I had been putting it off because I'm sick of doctors lol. But since my monthly gift came back with a bang about 7 months ago I thought maybe I should do it. This month that "gift" stuck around for 2 dang weeks!
Well Ladies looks like I will be joining those of you that have had hysto's recently. I am not looking forward to having surgery but I am looking forward to having it gone. Anyways I have to see a urologist on the 12th and then I will schedule it. I'll keep you all updated. I guess my surgeon will be using the Da Vinci for my surgery, anyone have this done? I was hoping for a tummy tuck LOL but guess thats not going to happen dang it LOL.
I can't wait for Vegas!
Teresa
-
Teresa - so sorry to hear this. I've not had this surgery but I've heard the Da Vinci method is very much easier to recover from.
-
Teresa I read about that somewhere on the bc site... I regret not telling my doctor to take about a inch of extra skin if he had to do it c section way. If possible I would try to avoid doing it c section way not fun at all. I'm getting stronger and finally getting some short walk in but miss being active and having more energy.
-
Teresa, i had a hysterectomy in 2008 and my dr used the DaVinci. It was amazing how quickly i healed, and how good i felt. Sandys right about the c section way not being fun....I had an ovary with a 28 cm tumor removed, in 2007,,via a vertical incision that went from my pubic to an inch above my belly button, 30 staples later,,,,the davinci is da way to go!!!! good luck to you, and i cant wait to see everyone in vegas..
oh yeah,,,,who are the shoppers in this vegas group?????
ta-ta for now, Karen
-
WOW...I am so "touched"...THANKS for the warm welcome! I am looking SOOOOOOOOOOOO forward to meeting you girls. "other" Laura...you rock! I talked to Stephanie on the phone last night...just wanted to get the Vegas scoop - she "filled me in". Thanks so much!
Theresa - Best wishes to you...
Again...THANKS for the warm welcome. Look out Vegas...here we come!
OH and btw...I am an imposter! At the time of my first Mastectomy, I had an expander put in...IT WAS SO FRICKIN painful, two weeks later at the time of my node dissection, I had the PS join in to REMOVE it. So, needless to say, I am breastless! LOL But...I will pack my waterproof proths for the Vegas trip. Don't laugh at me! LOL LOL LOL
-
LauraGTO -- the only requirement for this club is that you had breast cancer. So you are no imposter. I'm sorry you had it. Sorry you joined us. Hope you never get it again. And so glad we will get to meet you in Vegas!
-
GIRLS (((HUGS)))
LauraGTO-your a kick, will fit right in with this crazy wonderful group of gals!! I too am one fo the Breastless-there are a couple of us. I'll be there in spirit with you
Teresa-Sorry you have to go thru this. I too had a full Hysterectomy back in 2009. Mine was done abdominaly due to the diverticulitis & all the hernias. Incision from public up past bellly button-mine was diffucilt, lost alot of blood had to have a transfusion..ect ect, anyways, bounced back as soon as I got home. Didn't get to have the tummy tuck, but that is coming LOL LOL Next major surgery....reason I don't get to come to this 3rd reunion. All the scar tissue has made things difficult in everyday living & infections under the flap-So lucky me, I get to have a medical tummy tuck, You'll do great & were all here Praying for you for a quick recovery!!
Love you all (((HUGS))) Take care Chow XOXO Susie
P.S. Only been 1 day since I last posted...so 181 days till VEGAS BABY!!! WAHOOOOOOO

Thanks, girls!
This is too funny...I just realized that my 2, size C waterproof proths could be considered FLOATATION DEVICES! LOL I guess I never have to worry about drowning! LOL
-

Juli
-
Saskie -- so sorry you broke your arm.
I have to say my favorite part of going to Fremont Street was riding in the stripper bus (as we called it) -- ok it was, I believe, a Party Bus. But it had stripper poles.
Alas, I kinda felt that Fremont Street itself was just okay. Maybe we should just ride around in a party bus
(JK!)
-
Lilah I like the idea of riding around in a party bus
Sorry - can't remember I think maybe was $40.00 for my son and I but not sure. Will try to dowload my picture to the tata site on facebook once I get these darn books caught up - a little harder to do with one hand.
-
Did someone say ZIP LINE ! Oh yeah, I would love to try that - COUNT ME IN ! And I'm going to convince Sylvia (Olivieri) to do it also although she doesn't know it yet.....HE...HE....He..... !
Welcome GTO from the eastern coast of Canada ! Looking forward to meeting you!

Did I read Pictures??!! Speaking of pictures...I'm done with my 2nd TA TA Sisterhood reunion chapter in my scrap book just for this!!!! If some of you didn't download them yet...will have to just make a note about timely being late LOL LOL & add those in.
Saskie--OUCH..sorry Power prayers!!
The ride was a hoot with the pole bar, got lots of photo's of some TA TA'S living out their Dream on the pole, but i'm not saying whoooooo
