Can't wait!!!!

Juli50 .. Like yourself .. I am a newbie, but not to breast cancer. Just having the opportunity to meet 'many' WARRIORS - is overwhelming and surreal.
Lilah -- Thank you so very much for detailing our week-end together. ...

HI all,
It does not matter if this is your 1st, 2nd or 3rd trip, everyone is welcome and I look forward to meeting you all.

So strange to be reading all of these posts from "newbies". I had all of these same feelings the first year that I went (this will be the third year for me). I didn't know anyone and I wasn't on the exchange thread so hadn't even heard of most of the ladies. Someone said that we all seem to know each other....we do. We'll know you too as soon as you are there. Its a powerful bond that all of us have. You'll find the same thing the first night that we all get together. All of us leave with friends.
-
To all the newbies - Welcome.
Last year was my first year as well. Even though I didn't get to visit with everyone I found it very heart warming to meet so many terrific ladies that have been down the same road as myself. It is amazing how you can bond with so many and be able to keep in contact via facebook and this site. I can't wait to see everyone - Saskie

I found some Viva Las Tatas shirts on this site:
http://www.zazzle.com/viva_las_tatas_tshirt-235571295283792515
Are these ok? They are 10% off tomorrow in honor of tax day.

I actually found a site that has black shirts with gold bling letters:
http://www.alala.info/shopping/product_info.php?cPath=18&products_id=232
They are $24.
Juli
-
Juli -- the alala link did not take me to the picture/product... BUT when I searched the Save the Tatas link on that page I did find the black Viva las Tatas shirt on the last page (with the bling) -- THAT'S THE SHIRT! Wow if you can get one of those, go for it. The Savethetatas.com site has discontinued that shirt and I did not think it was available. Maybe Alala has found someone else to make it? I don't know... I might go ahead and buy another one
Good find!

EastCoastGRl: I am in Alexandria, VA and plan on attending. I will fly out of Reagan airport and another BC gal may be with me. I have been to Vegas many times, but not to a TaTa reunion... yet !!! Anything goes - really. Inside the casinos you do not know if it is day or night or sunny, raining or whatever. You can see tuxedos, evening gowns, jeans, cowboy boots, just about anything except bathrobes.
A similar tank or t shirt sounds like a neat idea. Is there a BC.org shirt available? Too lazy to log off and double check. Hope to see many of you soon.

Juli, the link didn't work for me either, but I followed Lilah's directions and that is definitely THE shirt. I already own one from last year.
As for what to pack? Comfy shoes to walk in!!!! I wore heels the first night with a dress and wound up walking back from the Venetian! My dogs were dead the next day. Otherwise, warm weather clothes and a light jacket or sweater for evenings.
I think we should definitely plan more time just "hanging" around. I had a blast dancing after the meet and greet Friday and at all of the activities we did last year. But with 50+ women, I feel like I barely spoke to some! If the weather cooperates this year, some hanging by the pool with everyone would be nice. Mirage has a nice pool! I think maybe some sort of game or something at the Meet & Greet would be good too, to get to know each other a bit at the start of the weekend.
Just my 2 cents . . . .
I'm holding off on my ticket, hoping to find a deal. It's too spendy for me right now with everything going on at home. Crossing my fingers. I may be able to use FF miles too. That would ROCK!

Mona -- I well remember that walk! And my feet hurt too... so I'll second that comfy shoes suggestion.
I agree too that more downtime sitting by the pool is a good idea for next year... and that's my plan
Since we're staying at the Mirage this year -- which has an incredible pool area -- that should be appealing to a lot of us.

I ordered the shirt! yay!
-
Yay Juli! You're going to have so much fun!
