TN Ten Pounds Take-Off
Comments
-
Hi girls, sorry I am checking in so late.... But my dog went missing yesterday and I was frantic searching for her.... We found her. Thank God for good samaritans!
Any how , I just weigh myself and happy to report 153.9 .
Good evening .
-
128 today. Hubby goes away for a week so will proobably lose more, as he won't be cooking.
-
Heidi - I have the opposite effect when DH is away. Instead of eating healthy meals I am lazy and eat a lot of junk.
-
Lynn- I'm doing great !!! Lost 2 more lbs, but it was only because I was so sick I couldn't eat for 2 days, lol. So went down to 143 and but now back up to 145. I should be down a pound by friday, but you're still ahead of me, Yikes! I better get walking!!
All in all, I'm pleased because at the height of bc, I was dangerously close to 160. So to be in the 140's is wonderful!!! I think the only good thing about back fat (new to me) is you can't see it in the mirror, right??? !!!
Yeah Heidi and Monika... keep going down
-
Go figure, went through 6 months of treatment without getting sick, now with the temperature fluctuations I get a lousy cold.
-
Heidi: Lol, I am the same--my DH cooks enough for 4 when he cooks. When he's gone I eat pretty light. He was just out of town for a week so maybe that's why my weight is down!
BTW: My dr's scale is pretty close to my Wii scale--155! Yay!!
tnbcRuth: I was 170 something at my diagnosis--fattest I have ever been. Never going there again.
MonikaV: So glad you found your dog! I would be frantic if one of my pets got lost. Congratulations on going down in weight!!
-
157 yay!
-
Double Yay!!!
-
Woot!!!
-
tnbcRuth: Sorry you were sick. Sounds like you are doing well. I have been enjoying walking, but now it's getting windy. I don't like to walk in the wind, so I need to find another workout . . .
Heidi: 128 sounds great. I think that would be my perfect weight--I could fit into a lot of my clothes then.
-
Ya' know, I don't like to walk in the wind either ! Enjoy it on the beach, but not around the neighborhood. It has been raining for 2 solid days here. 2 solid days !!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I went to bed at 145lbs and am at 148.8 right now. Heidi, don't post that !!! I still have tomorrow~ I sleep allllllll the time and still don't feel 100%. oh well. Listen to this...my girlfriends and I are getting together tomorrow night for app's and 'tails and one of them that has glorious long blonde hair is going to wear my wig as an April Fools Day joke !!!! The girls will be shocked and horrified that she cut her hair. Then they'll look over at me with my 'clown wig' and think I'm the one kidding them...(no I"m not in love with the red hair today). It should be pretty funny!
Ya', I would like to get to 128.....better yet, 120!
-
tnbcruth- Isn't it ridiculous how we can gain 3 pounds *in our sleep*? We BC gals truly are amazing...
-
I like that "app's and tails". I guess a lot of people are getting the rain. We don't see much rain where I live (New Mexico) I would actually enjoy it. We run outside when it starts to rain here lol.
I don't know how we gain a couple of pounds overnight, but it has happened to me.
-
133 this morning. Took a long glorious walk yesterday and hope to take one at lunch time today also.
-
159 this morning.. yesterday morning I was 157 how does this happen??????
-
Good morning girls, back to 154 this morning.... The weekend always throws me off track.
-
149.2 after my exchange. Womp womp womppppp. Back to the grind!
-
150 still..but I just started my diet last Friday...giving up Coke, potato chips and m&m's...and trying to run/walk more often...muscles weigh more than fat ladies..remember that!
-
Moan, groan, I don't want to weigh in! Went to a party and out to dinner last night and I just know my weight will be up. I will get the courage to weigh in later, just not yet
-
tracie--- I know, maddening, isn't it? But according to what I've posted, you *have* lost 10 pounds, right? I mean, you've done it! If I've been recording accurately you are the first to lose ten pounds. Congrats!
-
So..what does Tracie win? We didn't set up a prize now did we?
-
How about the admiration of all those trying to follow in her footsteps?
Does that work?
-
I'm still plugging away definately haven't gained and probably lost 3 or 4 pounds. I'm still exercising and wearing my pedometer and doing at least 10,000 steps per day. I'm also eating sensibily. However, I did have a treat the other night when I took my DD and her friend to the movies. I finally got to try the M&M Prezels and oh, were they ever good. I split the bag with the two girls so I didn't eat too many. It was a really nice treat and I'm glad I tried them.
-
Sugar: Love your new avatar--looks like a Glamour picture!!
Tracie: 10 pounds??!! Yahoo for you!!!
Heidi: I promise I will finally get the courage to weigh in here today.
-
You gals are on the right path! I applaud you! I know you have seen the articles recently on weight gain and recurrence. If not, here is a link to recent research: http://news.yahoo.com/s/hsn/20110406/hl_hsn/severeweightgainafterbreastcancermaythreatenhealth
I put on 30 pounds after my first diagnosis... around the time I suspected my cancer had come back (3 yrs later, and yes, TN), I went totally sugar free (cancer feeds on sugar more than normal cells), caffeine and soda (anything carbonated). I lost 25 pounds in 6 weeks, and it really wasn't that bad. I eat a lot of fruit and veggies and try not to eat any 'white" carbs. I've lost another 5-10 now on chemo again, but my weight is back down to a healthy 155 instead of pushing near 185-190! I'm excercising again too. Cancer cells hate oxygen also...do even if you don't do a lot of excercise, take time during the day to do deep breathing exercises!! I wish you all well!!
-
Yea for you Karen!!!
Holding at 145.
Flying Southwest, so hoping the plane stays in one piece!
-
TnbcRuth: be safe! Southwest is my choice of airline b'ucz I can fly the whole fam for cheap! They need to get it together as well as the government angry federal worker over here!
Ladies the detox must have done the trick. I am down TWO POUNDS!!!! YEAH!! I am so happy! So there must be some connection w/ the water weight....
TexasKaren hang in there sweetie!!!!
-
Karen: That sounds like what I did when I lost my first 30--for some reason the remaining ##'s are more difficult. I have to eliminate everything from my diet to get there.
fighter: Yay for you! So glad your detox worked.
-
Heidi, what happened? You must have been wearing your riding boots when you hit the scales! Yeah, fighter, hope the gov't budget gets fixed soon!!! Do something!! Congrats on the loss of weight
-
tnbcRuth- your guess is as good as mine...
