TN Ten Pounds Take-Off
Comments
-
Down almost a pound so I am making it a pound.
-
I weighed in this morning I am 165 tomorrow I am going to get weighed and measured at curves but I am down 4 lbs since I posted a few weeks ago. Gosh it takes a lot of effort.
-
Gillyone: I agree-when I am stressed out, forget the diet. You had enough on your plate, so to speak. Sorry to hear you had a rough week.
HeidiToo: I am now jealous-pizza and ice cream??? I used to be able to eat anything I wanted but that seems like such a long time ago. Sigh!
-
Fighter, Tracy, Heidi: Wahooo!!!!
-
Thanks mbj but I still can't fit in my pants
-
Tracie: If I can do it, so can you. Unfortunately, I gained some of it back, so I am starting all over. At least I didn't gain back 30--just a few over the holidays that now won't budge. I decided to donate my "fat" clothes so I am not tempted to fit into them again. I still have muffin top, but I am determined to whittle it down, a pound at a time (or half if that's all I can do).
-
So sorry you had such a rough week, Gilly. Take care of yourself this week and give yourself a little bit of time to regroup. Heidi, 129!!! wow, thats great. I also went overboard yesterday....Pizza and ice cream, too. I just haven't felt good the last several days so I didn't even get to walk. Hopefully tomorrow I will have a little bit more energy. Have a good night everyone.

Feel better NavyMom! It's pouring down rain here, so I have a good excuse for not taking a walk or going out.
-
171.5 DAMMIT!
-
No change but that's ok with me for the time being
-
mbj I could be the spokes person for the Muffin Top
I don't have any fat cloths so I am stuck in sweat pants until something will close , button or fit over my hips LOL...
-
Tracie23:
I usually even up in active wear too, because I get tired of my stomach being pulled together. Do you ladies think Weight Watchers is ok for us???
-
I'm cracking up over all the muffin top comments. I think that's my biggest inspiration for wanting to lose weight... I've been living in stretch pants for the winter! Not such a good idea!! Anyway, did two longs walks this weekend... down to 146.7. Woopee!! Now with my exchange surgery tomorrow, I'm probably gonna gain a pound or two in boobage. Lol!
-
ok went to curves this morning.. I got weighed and measured.... I am 163.5. I like the number on there scale. The measurements YIKES!!!!! but at least it is something... I will get there!!!
Fighter I think weight watchers would be great. It is all about being healthy and it teaches you how to eat.
Ericavw, good luck on your exchange surgery
-
Well, not good news. Got weighed at the doctor's this morning at 159. I don't know how I could have gone up. Time to cut out all dairy, too. Sigh.
Tracie: Curves is supposed to be great. Wish I had one nearby.
Fighter: Weight Watchers is all about counting calories and portion control and my friend swears by it so go for it!!!
Erica: Good luck with your exchange! I just posted my new nipple/areola pictures-my PS did an awesome job.
-
134.4 this morning. If I could just get a weekend without a party or food event. Why is it that every occasion is centered around food. And the food is always the best.
-
Thanks Ruth
I have somehow stayed at 142!!! My goal is to be under 140 when I next see the onc -April - (so on their scale with clothes on so more than 2 to go really.)
-
Hi Girls, I still haven't purchased a new scale. But I know I ate more than I should over the weekend. What the heck is wrong with me!?!? I want and I need to lose weight and all I can think about is food. Over the weekend was my DH surprise party so I made a lot of Brazilian sweets that he loves. And today I just made a batch of Brazilian lemon merengue. ugh!!!!!!!!! They taste grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrreat! This is so hard.
-
I over ate last night. There I said it!
But it was all seafood though....
-
Fighter--- no problem. Many of us in here eat WAY too much SEEfood.....
-
I haven't posted for a while but I am still at 142. I have been walking a lot, but I guess I am eating too much. It's hard for me to avoid sugar. I think I am eating to de-stress.
-
Lynn, our signature lines are identical except that I got dx'd 7 days before you! I am 'kinda' celebrating my one year diagnosis anniversary....my life is not back to normal but at least the breast cancer is gone!
Oh yeah, you weigh less than me by 5 lbs~ The race is on...first one to 140 wins!! Are you in? I'm eating ok, but can't exercise much. And I am still horrified by the double roll on my belly!
I know this message is all chopped up, but I can't get my thoughts any clearer at the moment!
-
Hi Ruth,
So, I guess I know how your last year has gone, since we are on the same schedule. And we have the same hair too!
I am in for a race, good idea. Yeah, I have the belly roll also, I would love to have a flat stomach again.
I was wondering also, how to deal with the one year anniversary, congrats to you, for getting through this year! Ok, the race is on. . . .
-
I'd love to join you guys, but I am scheduled for my radiation simulation next week. Not sure if I will be allowed to lose weight during rads?? I've lost 30 pounds so far (and am donating my "fat" clothes to my sister. she is both grateful and depressed to get those fat clothes). My onco wants me to get down towards the low end of my weight range, so it means at least 30 lbs. more. So, I am 170 now, and I will set my goal at 139. I figure 10 pound increments is a great idea. I am trying to exercise as much as I can-walking mostly. I also do Pilates once a week.
-
Lynn- I just sent out a huge thank you note to all the friends that helped me thru this last year and then felt sorry for myself for about an hour~ I had my last treatment in October so that's when I"ll celebrate my cancerversary. My life should be more back to normal and I can really feel like a celebration of some sort. In another thread, it was suggested we do something terrific that we had always wanted to do and just never got around to...
I jumped on the scales first thing today and they read 145.2! right. That's not going to last....I have not been doing as well as I can.
Susan, I'll just be happy to get out of elastic waist pants!!! Forget the size...but I'm keeping them because they are really really comfortable! I like to put a time line on losing weight, so you're looking at around 4-6 months? Wow! You'll look terrific for the start of the holidays! Walking is wonderful!!! and all I can do right now as well.
-
Ok ladies..... I think I may have to go for the pajama jeans if things don't start improving
-
NOOOOOOOOOO, not the pajama jeans !!!! It is so not going to work for the hot summer months, and I know it gets hot in Houston. Now for the confession, last year, I took my elastic waist stretchy jeans and cut them off and wore them as shorts...tacky tacky tacky!!!! I"m trying to save you from the same fashion error! hahaha
-
Tracie... hahahaha!!!! I thought the same thing about the pajama jeans!! If I don't get my ass out of the stretch pants and really get on with excercising... that's where I'm headed. Haha!
-
Ruth: The thank you note is a great idea. I wondered about the cancerversary date thing. My last treatment was January 31. I am for sure celebrating next month though!
You guys are making me laugh with the pajama jeans. Seriously, the idea of pajama jeans is going to make me take an extra long walk this morning. And have you seen "Forever Lazy" the one piece footed pajamas for adults . . lol. Ok, time to get off the couch!
-
Pajama Jeans!! Oh my, just say no!!! A better option is a pair of Yoga pants that have a tummy panel in them. Nordstrom carries them in both a capri style and a longer style but they are narrow at the bottom and may not work with the muffin top. Old Navy carries some great Yoga styles, too, but they run large (I order a size down in talls). I like both of these brands because their is weight to the material so it hides more sins
