TN Ten Pounds Take-Off

Don't worry MBJ I would never resort to Pajama Jeans... I am sure they would be to hot to wear in houston LOL. but my biggest decision today was do I wear old sweat pants or new sweat pants.... I go to curves everyday I have to fit into something soon..
-
Finally bought a new scale!!!!!! I am 155 lbs. Better get serious about this. I am going back to work next month and my uniform does not fit me
Have a great day ladies!
-
I say sweat it out until you go down a size then buy a pair that is sort of snug. That works for me--clothes with stretch are more forgiving and will get you through a couple of sizes until you lose some more. Also, if you buy black, even just one pair, and no one will know you are wearing the same ones over and over. I wouldn't invest in anything new in your current size--you will just have to give it away soon.
-
Time to get serious Monika. I hate when I can't fit into my favorite clothes. It's my only incentive, otherwise I would just eat myself into oblivion.l
-
OK, this has gone on long enough...
What's a muffin top?
-
Monika, I may need a new scale
Heidi, a muffin top is when your stomach hangs over your pants and it looks just like the top of a muffin
-
Thanks tracie--- I've been blessed with a flat stomach most of my life. Thanks to my mom for always telling me to "hold it in" I guess I have good tummy muscles!
-
Ruth-I've been living in exercise clothes right now! Elastic pants are my friends
I just don't want to buy any "real" clothes right now and then grow out of them. Plus, it keeps me thinking maybe I should be exercising at the moment.

Right now, I am using loseit.com for recording everything I eat and all my exercise, so I have it set up for losing 1/2 pound a week because of radiation starting. The website says that I will reach goal October 29th at this pace.
Just jumped on the elliptical machine last night to try it (I've been having trouble with hip bursitis and wasn't sure if this would aggravate it) I felt great this mrning , so maybe I can add this in to my exercise plan. I'ts been gathering dust for months now! We just recently had snow after it hadall had melted, and it is 12 degrees right now! Rather depressing to say the least! I refuse to go out to walk and freeze to death.
One question for everyone: did your oncos recommend that you lose weight? if so, how much?
-
Heidi: It's not just the belly--it's all around the top of your pants--looks exactly like a muffin, lol.
-
MBJ: Good advice about the clothing. I bought some very comfortable yoga pants at Jjill.
I also was wondering about the muffin top thing. I'm afraid I do have some of that going on.
-
Funny... after writing that post I saw on Yahoo where MuffinTop had just been added to the dictionary. Imagine that.
-
I saw that too Heidi! I was telling my DH about it and he said.what is a muffin top...well I showed him....funny stuff..no not really..but it is what it is.

1. muffin top 18340 up, 887 down January 21, 2010 Urban Word of the Day buy muffin top mugs, tshirts and magnets When a woman wears a pair of tight jeans that makes her flab spill out over the waistband, just like the top of a muffin sits over the edge of the paper case.
buy muffin top mugs, tshirts and magnets Muffin-Top is a word used to describe the strange and bizarre waist scrunching effect that results when females wear tight fitting, low-rise/hip-hugger pants along with small-sized, navel exposing, mid-riff tops.
Though, the effect is more extreme with heavier females, all females, with the exception of anorexic models, can fall victim to the muffin-top disaster. The reason for this, is that the design of low-rise/hip-hugger pants, originally popular during the late 60's and early-to-mid 70's, defies the natural shape and contours of the average females' body; forcing the skin and fat around her waist, back and upper buttocks to spill out over her pants and through her tiny crop-top, causing a muffin-top effect. -
Not sure why the pictures didn't post
-
MBJ- are they on Photobucket? I think that site has been a problem in here.
-
Heidi: Not sure-I did a google picture search and copy/pasted them. Oh well.
-
I've never tried that. I always got the specific URL to the photo only from my online album.

133.2 this morning. Had a week full of social events but I was good and only ate very small portions. Starting with a clean slate today and hope that my willpower continues. I am determined to not have to buy new shorts for the summer.
-
173 arhggg!
-
LOLOL Heidi isn't that the truth.
Pajama jeans I keep seeing this commercial when I can't sleep at night. I live in yoga pants basically until I drop some lbs.
Down a few ounces ladies. The detox worked out great.
-
I am 160 today I have been eating low carb and I have been at curves 5 days a week , I am exhausted
-
Hi calorie king is good

Hi All - haven't posted in a while but read all of your comments - the Pajama Jeans discussion made me smile....I am back up to 176 - keep yo-yoing between that and 173...maybe after chemo I'll be more motivated. I'm on my off week before the last round of the study I'm doing - it's going to be in the 70's so I hope to get outside and get a bit more exercise. Hoping the good weather will boost my mood - been a bit down lately but I think it's just anxiety about the upcoming surgery and what the pathology report will say. Good luck to everyone with their will power this week!

Okay, not sure if my Wii is correct but it says I am 154 and I will take it. I have cut out almost all dairy except for yogurt though I did cheat a bit with parmesan and goat cheese in my salad and a capresse salad (I forgot, what can I say). I have another dr. appt tomorrow so I will find out if my Wii is lying.
-
dlcw, I could not do anything during chemo let alone work out.... You can only do what your body will allow and if it nothing than please don't beat yourself up. When you are done you will be surprised at what you can accomplish. I hope you have a really great week
MBJ, I can't wait to be 154 lbs I think that is great !!!!
-
Hi everyone. I am down a little, to 141.8. This makes me want to work even harder.
dclw: Good to hear from you, I agree with Tracie, when you are on chemo, take it easy. I know the time before surgery can be very stressful. I hope the good weather will boost your spirits.
MBJ: I forgot that I can weight myself on my wii. Do you do any of the fitness stuff on the wii? I just bought Zumba.
Ruth, how are you doing?
-
No effort = no change.
Congrats to all those who are trying and getting some pounds off.
-
I'm talking about myself (no effort = no change).
-
Lynn: I should be using my Wii, however, it just sits there, lonely, under the coffee table except when I bring it out on Mondays to use it as a scale. I did get out in the sunshine today and it felt good to walk. I am hoping as the week warms up I will be more motivated.
