Meece - Send some rain our way - we really need it.  It is cloudy and overcast today - looks like rain but no such luck.

We never see 100% in our forecast when it isn't actually raining, so this is a special day.

We ended up with over 6/10" of rain yesterday.  We are over 9" for the season.  That's a lot for Us.

The main freeway between Northern and Southern California was closed down last night due to snow. Ah, global warming, gotta love it.

We're supposed to have a roller coaster day today - it's 43 now and supposed to get up to around 60 then down in the 40s, then up in the 50s and then a week or so of cold and snow!  There's a brand new little pond outside of my office right now.  The grass is green underneath the pond though.  I wish they would send some global warming this way!

Spring has sprung and global warming is evident.  First full day of spring, 5 to 8 inches of snow predicted, white stuff coming down now.  Just got all the other snow melted off.  Sigh.

Oh no NM!!!  I think I'd lay down and bawl.  Of course we're not done here in Michigan - I've seen snow well into May here. (that's really depressing - why'd I write that?)

suzwes - I will take some of it - you my dear can keep the flood warnings.  We are way to dry to a drenching rain - we need the slow soaker for about 3 straight days.

Most of this storm has been the slow soaker.  We need it this way, too.

We had a pleasant day today. It rained then sleet then 7 inches of snow - absolutely hideous day. I was a fool to put the shovel away, maybe in May I can safely do that.

We got 35/100 of rain yesterday.  That is considerable for us in March.  We are supposed to have more for the next 48 hours, but then, I haven't seen the weatehr guesser today.

This is from a friend of mine on FB who is a weatherwatcher/reporter for Burke Weather.

It's spring! It gets warm, it gets cold, it gets warm, it gets cold . . , and in between we get thunderstorms! I LOVE IT! ! ! According to weather.com he has it correct through the weekend.

Warm day yesterday (70's), today cooler (mid 50's) and winds, freeze warning for the morning, mid 60's predicted for Friday and mid 50's and showers for the weekend.

It is 83 degrees and the Texas sun is just going to get hotter over the weekend.  We are not having spring, we skipped it and went right into summer.

Jo yes we have but the upside is my vegetable looks great.  But if the heat continues it will burn up early.  I put it in a different place this year so hopefully it will get protected some from the harsh late afternoon sun. Can't wait for fresh tomatoes.

Sherry - I am in the process of cleaning out the gardens and going to replant.  I lost alot of my plants with the ice storm and have been doing the cleanup a little at a time.  Plants are like a lot of other things these days, expensive and I have to buy new ones a little at a time.

suzwes - DH and I leave on our cruise on 4/16 - can't wait.  I am getting so excited!

I have my tomatoes and cucumbers started in the greenhouse.  I should start some zuchini and okra as well.  My garlic is outdoors and coming up nicely as are potatoes.  I agree that plants are expensive, but the tomatoes are getting pricey now, too.

Well, it's the last day of spring break for me.  I was so hoping to get a start on the spring yard work and maybe even a little garden work in this week, but it's been snowing and generally below freezing all week. Oh, it gets up into the 40's for a while during the day, but the snow isn't melting, and all the dog poo is frozen to the ground still.  Gonna be a right awful mess when I can start cleaning it up.  Not a job I'm looking forward to at all!  Got to start a wish list for gardening stuff, like a germination mat for the sun porch so I can start seeds inside.  No room in the house and the sun porch is not heated.  At least I'll be changing to a higher paying job this spring and will be able to save for gardening "toys" for next spring!  And I've got enough confidence to plan for next spring!  Yeah!
