Seyla - HELLO! Awww...thanks for noticing I was missing! Great story though ... I took my puppy for a walk ... and the little rat rolled around in poop!! I had to keep him outside until my DH got home from work (wouldn't ya know ... he had a really long day) because that puppy is totally spoiled, has been so awesome with me home and being ill and I couldn't leave him by himself. Sooo ... we made a fire, picked up sticks, played ball ... FOR HOURS!!! I'm totally pooped ... ew...not pooped LOL ... kinda tired!

Get some rest fuzzy!

Yes, I've been busy. Her Dr. has her on a zero salt diet, and complete bedrest, which means I must prepare meals in advance so she gets what she is supposed to and not what she isn't.
Dad has never been an expert in culinary skills.
-
-
You too Deb.
Take care of yourself Meece. Hope Mom is doing okay, dad too.
-
-
Good Morning Meece! And everyone else. No sunshine here today, about an inch of rain! At least its not snow.

Good afternoon all - I got hit by a truck today (truck was apparently carrying sleeping pills) ... can't seem to keep my eyes open. Just checking in for smiles and giggles ... then back to sleep.

Good evening, just got back from the Optometrist, 6 month F/U. Cataract in right eye is slightly worse but still not ready for surgery. Left eye cataract is stable. I was referred to him by my PCP when I called to tell them about the flashes every time I would move my right eye to the left, he is suppose to be one of the top specialists, he is really sweet and gentle. That was over a year ago. My eyes are still blurry from the dilation.
-
Stay on top of it Deb.
Stay away from trucks fuzzy! Did you have too much asparagus at lunch today?
-
7 more days and it's my 4 yr cancerversary. DD will be moving the end of the month to Bermuda. It's getting close, We are worried about her cat Smokey, he went for a check up because we noticed he was getting skinny. He lost 4 1/2 lbs since his last check up. Vet can feel an enlarged kidney, Friday she is bringing him in for an US, BW was inconclusive for anything else.
-
Thinking about all you TOL's------hoping moms, dads, husbands, kids, doctor appts, eyes, etc. all get better. You gals are something else
-
We love you too Coonie!
-
We sure do.
My Dad is still in rehab. Hopefully he will go back to his studio apt at the assisted living.
Medicare pays 100% of the nursing/rehab for 20 days, once that has passed they will pay 80%. Normally my fathers other insurance, Raytheon Medicare Plan Plus will pick up the 20% but being the beginning of the year there has to be a $1750.00 out of pocket has to be satisfied. So he is getting billed $141.50 per day until the $1750.00 is satisfied. I made arrangements to pay $200.00 per month, I hope he can swing it. I am durable power of attorney and handle all my fathers financial stuff.

I took my father to the hospital this afternoon and he will be hospitalized. His left leg is a very bad shape infected and all type of other things.
They actually took 4 bottles of blood, just think of mini wine bottle. I never seen those things before. The nurse said they need extra blood for cultures etc but all 4 of them!!!!!. His abdomen is swollen like a pregnant woman.
I was there until 9PM.
Came home watched you know what and had a bowl of soup.
Good Night

Hope he's better today Sheila. Hope all your parents are doing better. I think we could open our own nursing home for all of them.
Happy St. Patricks Day to you too! -
Sheila, I can so relate.
I head to So Cal today for my onc appt. Won't be able to check in on my parents in person. While I was there yesterday my sister called. She had all sort of things SHE wants them to do. I was the one who spoke with her. Seems she does not know everything like she thinks she does!
Mother must go to hospital Monday to have the fluid drained off her lung(s). I went shopping for her yesterday looking for low sodium and no sodium foods. I spent 90 minutes reading labels and purchasing maybe 25 things!
-
Meece, I wonder if you can google no sodium food specifically for those who require it. May cut down on your shopping time. Best of luck today. I'll be thinking of you!
-
Good luck today Meece - btw, is your son allowed to do the voluntary evacution that was announced today?
Good Morning All!
