Hi GramE--I'll definitely be praying for your friend. I'm so sorry. Would she be the type to join an online support group? We'd love to meet her and help support her.

Barbe---Love the colors in your house. What is the piece hanging on the gray wall. It's really pretty and goes so well with your wall color.

Kathleen---I've been thinking about you today. Did you see the new place?? Did you like it? Are you gonna take it? heheh ok enough already with the questions huh?Tongue out I hope it works out for you!! You deserve it!!

Sending big hugs to each and everyone of you! Have a wondermous night's rest.

Thank you all for the prayers.   My friend is not ready for an online group.   She is reeling and so discouraged with the brain cancer now, only 3 short months since initial diagnosis and surgery.

Although I cannot remember everyone's names or issues, you are in my prayers as I read your posts.    Hugs and Blessings, Nancy

That picture is actually 84 sunrises/sunsets I took and mounted and then had framed. I did it during the time my Dad was dying of lung cancer. I call it "In My Father's House". It has given me much peace. When I got my cancer diagnosis the picture was hanging in my bedroom and I always looked at it and wondered what kind of cloud I would become.

xxx hugs Nancy for you and for your dear friend. She has been in my prayers.

Especially lemonette, the last few days, few new things "out of order" with this lemonette, honestly! what ammmmI like. Been doing my best with kids off this week, swimming and my dd at a fun school club for the day, I know I do need a few days in bed probably, but not on the cards. Nevermind. God is good. Kids are great DH is home, so I am going to try to get a rest in the am.

Thinking of you all..oh i'd love to get Barbe's help too.. we best start a queue, I think I am third in line, let me know when I am next in line Barbe and I will post you your ticket to England.

Coonie and the whole bunny crew "sending you my peachiest vibes". boy am dizzy, and am lying down, go figure. Still more test are on the way soon, so they will sort me out yet.

     love

Shiny, If you're flying me to England, you just became first in line!!! Laughing

I'd love to do a TV show to demonstrate how just COLOUR alone can change a room. I won't buy/add/take away what you have already in the room. This way, it's still "your" decorating, just coloured now.

Okay - report on the apartment.  The current tenant was still there so I could not see it but picked up the packet to fill out and return.  The lady did say it was the exact duplicate of my aunt's - even on the same side of the building, two doors day and one floor down, so I know what it looks like.  Took plenty of measurements of my aunt's place to see what will fit and where.

Barbe ... you are so right, I have lived in so many placeswith white walls I just hate it.  That's probably why I have so many pictures - to give color to the walls!

Shiny ... my condolensces - I frequently have dizzy spells and it is miserable.  I have suffered from this for many years, really since a child, so I think its just the way I am.  I hope they find the root of the problem because you are one busy lady and need to be mobile!  Hugs.

What a beautiful idea and such a wonderful tribute to your father!

Help me, help me. My son, his wife, and two chidren, 6 and 3 are coming for 5 days.  I moved here last July just as I was starting treatment. I had surgery in Illinois and then moved a few weeks later to WA. I still have boxes in the bedroom. I have boxes in the dining room, my MIL came and being helpful while I was zonked on chemo side effect drugs, unpacked ever box that was in front of her and put everything on the dining room table. Everything is disorganized. MY sewing room is a huge wonderful space but it has about 50 boxes in it still so it is unusable until I have a friend here and we can go through things and have fun doing it. I am like a slug lately, no motivation and can barely get to Rads, I have 13 to go and will end the day they arrive.

My DIL has housecleaners at least twice a month. She hates clutter. Hates it I tell you! SHe also sends 3 year old to day care 3 days a week or more. She is not employed.

I can't imagine having cleaners in with this stuff all about but I can see the bath needs thorough cleaning and the woodwork has serious dust on it in 8 months of not being touched.

I need to have cleaners in, I will find the money for it but I am so ashamed I am living in these boxes. Kitchen is okay but family room has all these books with nowhere to go now. Our old house had tons of builtins.

Has anyone had cleaners in when things were a mess? I had promised myself I would have cleaners from the start but I put it off because there were these boxes about.

Any hints would be very helpful even if it involves large quantities of Amaretto in my apple juice!

Please tell me this is not the group for people who are good with housework. I just spotted Barbe's pictures, my dining room looks nothing like hers. Barbe's dining room looks lovely.

Gingerbrew, I can 'recognize' good housework done but I'm certainly not an active participant. Wink  In our house if it doesn't have dog hair on it, it's considered clean.

Edit to add~make that dog hair or feathers.

Ginger, we don't have it in Canada, but don't you have a "Cleaning for a Reason" somewhere near? They will come in and do the cleaning for you because you are in active treatment.

Otherwise: I say let your son help you! If I was visiting my Mom who needed help that would give me SO much pleasure to be able to help her arrange her environment! (My craft room is still full of boxes too!)

Kathleen, thank you. I have now got month long "time of the month" so that explains the dizzy i guess. Happy and as productive as I can be though.Hope the flat turns out to be just perfect for you!xx hug

Ginger, what Barbe said "ditto" for me!

Also. If your DIL loves a tidy house, I would just embrace that and use it to your advantage. It's lovely to be appreciated and complimented by our MIL, so why don't you give you DIL a call now and explain how it's been impossible for you to get the organizing done and although you are really looking forward to the visit and seeing them  you do wish your house was in better order to receive them. If she has any sense she will "come to the rescue" and say she will give you some help with that while you rest and enjoy the grand kids. Now that is what should be happening for you. It will give you the help you need, make her feel fabulously helpful and give you some time with the grandkids.  I hope it turns out well for you. You mustn't worry about the state of your house in any case. The kids will find it interesting.. at their hight, the boxes stacked up will feel like a castle or fort!  What ever you do, take care of you, and give them every chance to help. Loved one  often feel so helpless at these time. You can give them a wish list of "to dos" that will make them feel really useful and give you the support you need and deserve.

    take care all bunnies,

     love, your lemonette.

Shiny, now how can it be THAT time of the month when it's ALL time of the month? Are you slowly bleeding out sister? Are you now anaemic? Maybe that's part of your problem...has anyone looked into your yearly? (can't call it monthly any more)

Oh wow, I never even considered asking my DIL for help. I suppose I can give it a try, I am a little bit leery though. My son will definitely help, he is the one of the boys who I am closest to and has always been helpful.

We don't have cleaning for a reason here, I looked into it last fall.

I did have cleaners come before we moved in here so it was just perfect last July.

Shiny, I border on anemic myself. I would get the "month long monthy" looked into quickly. I just discovered I am supposed to have a half gram of protein for every pound I weigh during rads. That is a lot of protein for sure!

Thanks for the help I will let you know how it goes.

    Love GInger

Good morning, bunny buddies......Glad to see you all ......Haven't been on in a while cause I get so depressed when I read the Angel's Thread......I just read it today and saw where we lost Jankay and a few others I used to talk to........I should really not stay away so long I guess.....

DH is improving with the help of ECT treatments for his depression.....I can only pray he goes back to work soon...I don't know what we'll do if he doesn't go back soon...DD has practically moved out with her boyfriend and I rarely see her anymore.....I thought our lives would be so different than it is now....I feel more alone than I ever have in my life right now......The one person I could talk to of these things has passed away......Kbugmom and i would talk for hours sometimes about our kids and our problems.....I can't talk to my sisters about these things......What can they do anyway?.....They have their own problems.......Thanks for letting me vent here, everyone....Sorry to be such a downer......

I am glad to see that some of us here are having better luck than I am, though........Keep us in your prayers although I lately feel prayer isn't working anymore for me.........

Ginger ...are they coming to see you or the state of the house.  I agree with so many, let them help you.  Shiney's right - the kids will love it.

Holly, it is so good to hear from you.  You are terribly missed here.  I pray things go well for your husband and like Barbe said - God has something else in store for you.

There was a poster I used to have in my office, the gest of which was "when you are up to your a$$ in alligators its hard to remember your initial goal was to drain the swamp!"

Hi Ladies www.cleaningforareason.org............this is a website my daughter gave me.  She said if your in treatment this org. will help you.  I am in the Philly area, so anyone not in the general vicinity would not be able to have this, but check it out and see if it is offered anywhere else.  Maybe they have a network of people who do this in other areas. Hope this helps.

Ok, just went on the website, and I can't connect.  Not sure what is wrong, but will keep trying.  What good is a website if you can't open it.  Will contact my daughter to say "hey what's up with this link".  Will return with more info

Ok Ladies.............here is the scoop.  Instead of clicking on the link my daughter gave me I entered it myself.  Sure enough the website came up.  The service is nationwide.  It lists all the states and areas where you can contact the people.  It is a bit involved, but you can get 4 cleanings, 1 a month for 4 months.  Some paperwork to do, but hey I can understand that.  Although it would be pretty sad to say "I have breast cancer, in treatment, and need my house cleaned........Sick even to think of.....but people do strange things...so ladies check it out.  Maybe the link will work for you, but my computer was giving me a hard time so I just entered it myself.

Hi all  I came on breastcancer.org because I had a prophylactic/contralateral mastectomy 5 wks ago, when another biopsy was suggested, and was a little rusty on everything like exercises, weird sensations, etc. (prior treatment 1992-2001)  Pathology report was fine, so it's just the physical healing thing now.  I do have serious housework issues.  We're short-statured, so joke the show about us could be "Dwarf Hoarders: Now you see them, now you don't".  (Yes, Gingerbrew, it could be an adventure or maze for the little grandchildren.) Threw away two bags of stuff this weekend though.  Of course I was only going through boxes to find last year's tax return (which I did finally and did taxes today, major accomplishment).  Two long-distance friends were first-time BC patients this winter, gave them this website too.  I sent them little Beanie babies, as back in 1992 a woman had given me a pink and white bunny before my lumpectomy.  I love how the community is here 24/7, because I remember that the most lonely time can be in the middle of the night when the traditional friends/family are not available and of course, this community understands, when the traditional f/f doesn't. Hugs and prayers to all the bunnies in the sisterhood, esp JJ and Lucy.
