Shiny, it would take so long to get my knees done I'm not even trying!!! There is such a back-log of people trying to get hips and stuff fixed. The Boomers - now Zoomers - have all reached the age where they need the surgeries. I'll just wait until I collapse in a pile of bones somewhere. The pain meds help, but that's what allowed it to reach this point! I have to get an x-ray for my rheumatologist to confirm what the MRI showed, but I haven't even bothered to get it done. I will someday....
-
Hello Bun Buns! It is so good to see so many here.
Barbe ... my hip is bone on bone - I empathize. They told me the knees weren't "bad" but they sure feel bad.
Shiny ... you are truly amazing. I don't know how you do it. You are such an inspiration - usually my first response to pain is to crawl into the fetal position and stay there!
Coonie ... those pictures are so georgeous! I'll take a hop with you anytime.
Lucy ... I think of you often and pray things start to open for you and DH.
Arnie ... I was so sorry to hear you were so ill. Your great niece is a cutie patooty!
Sharon ... cute picture!
I know I've forgotten some ladies but my mind is scrambled and I can't remember what I did 10 minutes ago.
-
LOVE coming to see such a lively bunch of conversation unfolding.
Totally dislike that so many have so much to contend with.
Shiny? Have you been to much of a sweet-heart to all of them? I think it's time for you to have a temper tantrum of weeping/wailing/screaming/thrashing about & have someone 'take notice' that this has gone on too long, not to have things sorted. I just ache that you would get some answers, direction and a plan.
We leave for Europe a month from today!!!! Can't remember if I told you that the 'extra' concert in Reggio Emilia, Italy is now on the agenda. This is the world's mecca for early childhood Arts. It is my equivalent of playing Carnegie Hall. To have this on my resume is a HUGE coup of the most amazing sort. Maybe I told ya? Anyhow, it's getting closer & from now on I will be thinking, 'in less than a month.'
-
Doesn't matter if you already told us, it's always a good reminder!!! You must have a chest just puffed with pride at the way your years and years of work are finally coming to fruition!!
-
Shinygirl!! It looks like you need a bunnyhutch intervention with your doctors. Why oh WHY can they not get you fixed? I remember when my dad was alive, he was having all sorts of medical problems. We live in a fairly small town and it takes awhile to get tests done, then answers after the tests. We decided to take him to Houston, TX. His doctor was in the same bldg as the hospital. He started running tests that morning and finished up that evening. We went back the next morning and the doctor had all test results back and answers to alot of our concerns. Of course, it takes longer for some test results to come back, but at least he got them done and the doctor knew how to treat my dad. I wish you could do that.............sorry I rambled so long. I just worry about you!
Oh and I would have to get the little earpiece for my cellphone to talk to you from Walmart:) I'm one of those people who can't push a cart, talk, get what I need..........LOLOL..........AND why do I always get the cart that wants to go the opposite direction that I do????
Wishing all you bunnies a wondermous day!!!! It's beginning to look alot like Spring here.
Ohhhh Arnie!! I hope you're feeling better sistahfriend!! Been thinking about you!

Back from Hospital. just so whooped. Had some lovely visits with some hospital staff hadn't seen in ages. The onc appointment was.. well they coud't find the ct scan that I specifically called to make sure they'd got 2 weeks ago, from the other hospital (as they'd asked for a cross check on a few things) and at the time they said, humm, can't see it here will get someone to look into it. When I went in, they didn't know anything about it, the message never got through.I won't bore you with the other details, but it was a wasted journey.
I will have a diagnosis pretty soon I think on my lung thing, they are looking into I think , COPD, non smokers, cause by gerd. It could be something else, but what ever, at least that bit I am seeing a real specialist. It will be good to get diagnosed.
Lymphedema, good. spine, ouch, but good, you know when physio makes you worse before better kind of good.
Treatment for chest helped abdominal pain so much that it was likely due to H pilori (the nurses and I guess) which double antibiotics and double omaprazole is curingp that is fab, it is an accidental cure from the chest physician! hi ha. Nice.
feeling shatered but grateful.
I am so glad to be part of this lemon grove!
sending you peachy vibes, now moving to other couch so dh can "smush" my aching feet!
Sharon, pass the cake! feeling pretty endugent! Coonie, call when you have sorted the headset for our power shop/chat!
xx

Shiny, Shiny, Shiny, gosh, even when one thinks one has things all sorted (for the appt.) there is often a fly in the ointment. Sorry there was a fly in yours.
I'm hoping they find out soon and can start alleviating your symptoms so you can enjoy life more.
Meanwhile, here, have a piece of cake.
HUGS.

Thanks Sharon. xx Hope you are well yourself. (I coudn't quite reach the peice of cake,so I made muffins) My DS made a request for them at 11 am this am saying "muffins?" and as he hardly ever utters a food request (due to his special needs) I was very pleased to oblige with some apple raisin orange cinamon muffins.
Well, I hope all you lovely bunnies are enjoying cake and fun this weekend. It really feels like spring is here today. Our 7 month old kittens are loving our garden at the minute, they are so cute to watch chassing each other around.
Peachy hugs and vibes coming your way bunnies! x Extra top up load for all in need.

Oh Shiny, what a great post!! The hope of spring, kittens and apple raisin orange muffins. What could be better? Isn't life grand!!

Spring................
Spring................
Spring.................
We went to a "Master Gardner" festival early this morning & got there before it got completely crazy. We don't know anything about gardening down here in the south -- so asked a lot of questions. Our home was professionally landscaped when we built it, but on the budget plan.
So we had promised ourselves that when we could we'd add to it.
So today we got our first 'palm' trees. We got two 'bunches' that are about 4 feet tall currently, and twill grow towering over the next couple of decades. LOL.
But at least I can now say that we have palms..... sorta more like palm bushes. LOL
Shiny, dear, dear Shiny.
So grateful for any amount of forward progress toward getting you sorted.
Maybe all of the cumulative bunny prayers have earned you this accidental forward progress? You are deserving of every possible relief.
It's been a lovely day here of digging about and envisioning these dozens & dozens of lovely bits taking root.
xx00xx00xx00xx
Happy weekend to all & to all a happy weekend.
-
......and let's all have a slab of cake in honor of Shiny's progress forward!!!!

Hey sistahs! I have a prayer request today for those who pray.... Jamie, my dd is having major back surgery today at 1 p.m. She'll be in the hospital for atleast 3 days and then they'll send her to a rehab faciltiy.... As a mom, I wish I could stand in her place, but I can't... the little ones are gonna be tossed around for a bit...because she wants me with her so please pray for them too. I'll update you guys as soon as I can...but may spend the night with her at the hospital tonight.
Thank you
xoxoxoxo
-
Arnie!!! Oh gosh, absolutely, I'm sending prayers it all goes as it should. Hugs to you and all the fam.
-
Arnie!
Consider yourself prayed for from here, and the whole hutch of us I am sure. Thank you for posting. We will be thinking of you of Jamie and of the children. Please God, in due course this opp and rehab will be the start of a better chapter for you all with less pain and struggle and more time just to enjoy and feel pain free and rested. Those chickadees are so lucky to have you both.
I'll keep my prayers coming, you try to take care of you as well.
xx big hug from one mum to another.
love

Chiming in with some more prayers as we start page number 400 of friendly bunny-ness together.
Arnie, I'm sure the road ahead will have some challenges in the short term, but I'll hope & pray that this makes the long haul a lot easier all the way around.
I know that you're concerned and hope that you can find ways to care for yourself in the midst of all the recovery ahead. I know you'll be doing 'double duty' and I hope that you find balance in the midst of your love.

I have the suitcases mostly all re-packed and readied for their next adventure. I fly out tomorrow morning to IL to a lovely opportunity, their International Reading Association conference. This is all together a different sort of participants, so I'm excited!
Truth be told, I'm a wee "bunched knickers" as I'm going this one alone. It's been a while since I've managed on my own. So I've been breathing deeply & holding my hand when I get a tad too wonkie. It's all of the 'hauling' that is a burden, but I have promised myself that I'll ask for help -- or even pay for it if necessary!

((((((Arnie)))))) I hope the surgery went well. Thinking of you Sistah!
-
hey sharon...thank you :-) we got here at 11;45 a.m., now it's almost 6;30 and she still hasn't been taken back to surgery. It's a four hour surgery and she'll be in recovery two hours before we can see her... has been a long day already :-( keep prayin' xoxoxo

Hi Bunnies,

2 years NED today!!!
So it cake for everyone.
P.S. Arnie ....sending prayers.
Also can you also add the Amano Family in Japan for prayers....this is my DS host family when he visited Japan.
Love Viv
-
hang in there Arnie!! Drink lots of water, rest as and when you can. And eat well no matter what, as you do need to look after yourself, that is a priority, for both of you. Seriously, you just hae to get a pillow and blankeet into some trolley or on a bench in the chapel and shut your eyes from time to time. You won't be able to help if you are on your last legs. have some extra vit c whilst you are at it.
sending you and DD peachy comfort vibes. We'll be praying for you.
Enjoy your adventure Faith.. you know you will have lots of fans happy to help out, and you are right, if needs be, pay for help. No sense in injuring yourself for the sake of a few dolars. Enjoy. You will be back to your baby palms before you know it.
xx hugs and nighty night all

Arnie!!!!!!! Oh myyyy myyy goodness. I'll be sending up tons and tons of prayers for DD and you and the rest of the family. Hopefully, this will do the trick and she'll be well forever. I can't believe they STILL haven't taken her back to surgery. I didn't realize they do surgeries at night. As the others have said, you sure need to take care of yourself. Rest when you can. We love ya girlfriendsistahfriend. PLEASE know we're all surrounding you with hugs, prayers and strength for Jamie and the rest of you.......especially you and the kiddos:)

Vivy ((((((((((hugs and prayers))))))))) It was so good to see them find that infant this a.m.
Thank you for the prayers!!!! Well, they finally got her into surgery and it looks like it should be done around 11:30 p.m. We'll have to wait two hours after that to see her... We are the only ones left in the waiting room...sooooooooo we turned the lights down and made a new pot of coffee.... Thankfully we LOVE our son-in-law so we've had some laughs...some prayers and just good old conversation....
Love you bunnies so mika.....arnie
-
Oh and Faithie...have another great adventure for all of us!!!!
-
Oh goodness. I obviously didn't read your post correctly, Arnie.
I missed that the surgery hadn't started yet. (That's what I get for reading my laptop at 70 MPH going down the highway at dusk.)
We are safely parked in a Ramada outside the airport. So the morning will be here soon.
Thanks for the travel blessings.
LOVE to all!!!
-
(((((((((Faith)))))))))))
Ok...we just got home, it's 1:30 a.m. We got to see Jamie momentarily to say we loved her and goodnight...bless her heart her face is all swollen from having to lay with her face downward in an opening and she's in so much pain... the surgeon said the surgery went well...worse than he thought, he had to take 3 discs out and put two rods and 8 screws in.... OUCH! Wish I could have done it in her place...
Thanks again for all the prayers dear sistahs.... nitey, night.
xoxoxo

Healing prayers continually on their way to your daughter Arnie.
Vivvygirl, congratulations to you on such wonderful news.
Sistah Shiny, we're anxiously awaiting some news. Even with your lemonette status you still continue to amaze with your energy and enthusiasm.
Coone? You aren't doing housework are you?
Faith, I thought you were in Fla. for the winter. How is your lymphedema reacting to the travel?
Sorry, that's all who posted on this page so I'll just wish all a hoppy bunny day. Housework free, of course.
Hugs all.
