Hi, all -- It was so great to meet you all!  It was almost my first opportunity to talk face-to-face with other women who are in the same bc boat.  I hope we get to do it again soon.

Survivorwoman, hang in there, sweetie.  It was not such a great day for me, either.  Normally I have a decent energy level on Sunday. I had so many plans for today, but I just wasn't up to it.  Then I learned of the death of a college/Air Force friend of mine.  It happened more than a year ago, but I'm just learning of it.  Very sad.  Hoping for a better day tomorrow.

Flash, CityKitty- thank you for making me better. I will hang in there. Couple more days till one last kick in the stomach chemo then recovery time. I can't wait to eat a fresh apple and some other raw foods.

CityKitty- truly, I am really sorry about your friend. My condolences.

I am DONE with chemo! At last !!! Today I finished this part of the treatment and will move on on to the next phase. Thank you ALL for your support. I can't wait to see you all again but hopefully with hair growing next time. Love you all!

I have a question for you Flash. How likely is it that one might get Lymphedema from getting the bloodpressure done on the wrong arm? I was so exhausted and at the time nobody was with me to remind the nurse in the morning when I started treatment so she made a mistake and took the bloodpressure on right arm, which is the wrong arm. I have a bit of tingling in my anderarm. What do you think... should I worry ? How fast does lymphedema develop? I had sentinel node biopsy with the mastectomy. Should I be worried?

Just stopping by to say hi, still working like a maniac with very little time to log on.  Personal life a mess, v good friend with lymphoma had chemo fail, then another type of much heavier chemo, which she found out yesterday also failed.  Now they want her to try yet another chemo and she's not sure she wants to.  I'm just really upset.  This is the woman who could really use a giraffe scarf!

All other sorts of personal life stuff in the shitter too....ugh.

So it was good to get together and hang out for awhile!  Love to everyone.....

How about a picnic in Central Park if the weather is warm enough?  I need to dream....

survivor-  one time probably wouldn't do anything.  It's more a case of they would like you to be cautious and careful.  We just don't know enough about LE.  Yes, your doc is right, the fewer nodes removed, the lower the chance of LE but it is still not zero.  On the other hand, there are people who get LE who haven't even had any surgery.  again, just do the best you can.

Can't wait to see you all again.  Love the idea of the park but how about that one when we know its really going to be good weather.  Does the met still do their free wednesdays?  Do we want to meet there?  could be kind of fun to hang out by the temple of dender(?) and look out over central park.  or what about the sony museum that's free?

I am still having major post-chemo side-effect issues. I guess, I should have expected it to be this bad or the worst of all 6 chemos. I hope to be better in a couple of weeks so that I can also be actively planning our next meeting. I really enjoyed our last one. I keep thinking of that while I am undergoing this recovery period.

yeah met museum is pricey, that's why I was thinking on their free day which I believe is Wednesday?  They may not be open late enough.  could always hit the lemongrass grill again but I'd rather somwhere diff.  anyone have ideas?

Thank you ladies for thinking of me. I am still trying to combat the side effects of chemo. But the good news is that I am almost two weeks post chemo. Though, I sleep a lot and move very slowly, I am getting a bit better day by day. Hopefully, the diarreah will subside, too. I am always hungry. I guess that is a good sign, right? You ladies decide where we should go the next time. For me, like the last time, Saturday would be the best. On Sundays I still go to "You Can Thrive" where I get a charity acupuncture that seems to help with stiffness and other things. It is up to you all where we should go. My mind is very childlike right now. I can't decide. Love you all!
