willowtree : you are welcome. You are very lucky to be here as every member in this thread will wash your brain to become relief . So be ready to face it.
-
Welcome, Willow. At times when it feels as if nobody in your life understands what you are feeling, or why you are feeling it, we are here to hold your hand, pray with you, and for you. There is great strength in the power of prayer and we are not afraid to use it.
-
Hi everyone,
Haven't posted in a few days. I have been reading and praying for those mentioned. Always that will happen. I believe in the Power of Prayer and use it daily
Tomorrow I have my simulation verification for radiation to start and my first tx is on Friday. Pray for me. I'm a bit scared of the burns and what worst case could happen. I try not to dwell on the worst of this but it is something that flutters across my mind.
Looks like I am going to lose the big toenail on my left foot from the Taxol. Why just the one, I'm not sure as that seems really strange. The remaining 9 look pretty ok at this point. My fingernails are different but not anything that I need to worry about. I'm hoping in time they will come back to normal.
Hugs,
Juanita
-
Oh, I am sorry about your toenail, I was fortunate not to have the chemo affect any of my nails. I will be praying for your peace as you start the radiation leg of your journey.
-
I am going to have my pet scan tomorrow. We will figure and pray that God will take care of the bill. I know God can do all things. I just don't want to have this stop my treatment plan. Insurance co dos't even know what is going on. I just want my plan so I can go ahead of the game. Thanks for all your thoughts and prayers.
-
I am pretty sure PET scans are standard benchmarks for tx. Insurance should know they come along with the package. My Gyno told me that insurance doesn't balk at much BC stuff because there is such a big lobby behind BC. Good Luck, the test is pretty much a breeze, you just need to lay still.

Asking my friends to pray for my Uncle David. He is my late mother's brother. He is 71 years young and loves the Lord. He had a heart attack today. Thanks in advance, Mary
-
Father,
We lift "uncle" David to you for comfort and healing. We know that all things work together for your good. Please use his servant's heart to minister to others as he is attended to. We ask for your miraculous touch on his life. And provide our friend Mary with peace & comfort too. Amen
-
Yes, Uncle David will be added to my prayers.
My mother (73 yrs old) had her gallbladder removed on Monday. She had knee replacement in November, but she is not bouncing back from this recent surgery like she did then. She is in an extreme amount of pain and having difficulty taking deep breaths. She has asked for special prayer to reduce the pain. Dad (80) could probably use prayer as well, as he feels helpless to see the love of his life for the last 54 years in such pain.
Dear Heavenly Father, please be with our older loved ones as they experience medical issues. We know that they have a relationship with you and trust in your infinite wisdom. Please guide the hands of their physicians and caregivers for the most positive results. We thank you for being with us Always. Amen
-
Thank you so much. My prayers are also with your family Meece. God we ask for your perfect touch on Meece's mom and dad. Provide them with peace that passes all understanding and pain that subsides and remains gone for her. Amen
-
Amen. Amen.
-
To everyone:
-
And again Amen.
-
Hope you are feelling better, Deb.

Good Morning God is so Good. What a Mighty God We Serve. My pastor Daughter the one In ICU spoke her first works yesterday. She still has a long road ahead of her but Mel only had 50/50 chance 21 day's ago. Our God is a good God he hears and answers our prayers sometimes not what we want but what best for us. I am going to get my PET scan done today and know God will take care of the rest. Thanks for all your support. Hope everyone has a Blessed Day.
-
Praise Him, Praise him!
Great news, Lyniea. How old is Mel? I ask because as we all know we frequently respond quicker the younger we are.
Your PET will be a breeze. Something I was thinking yesterday for you...if you are going to have chemo, I would suggest you get a port. I wasn't given the option and so many tests require IVs and my veins are non-existant as far as that is concerned. I have many regrets about nothaving one.
-
Mel is probably in her 40. They did say something about a port so they don't have to stick you so much. I see both Dr's on Monday. I am praying for good results. I know he is capable of healing but if not just be with me In Jesus Name.
-
Linniea, what awesome news about your pastor's daughter. I pray she makes a complete recovery, and that God carries you through all your phases of tx.

Gorgeous picture Miss B! One my mom's questions that she says she gonna ask God about is why he made the peony so big & beautiful but with such a flimsy stem to hold them up with.
-
Gorgeous garden Miss B.
-
Dh's cousin just passed, looks like another family funeral to attend.
-
Holy crap Meece! Hang in there sweetie!!
I also remember having my first peony and desperately trying to keep the ants off of it! Not realizing it needs the ants to chew it open. Doi, on me!
-
Eph, lol! Wow, I think I would have quite a list of questions, given the opportunity. Like, why don't babies pop out with an instruction manual? How come all animals don't eat plants, so they won't eat each other? Couldn't there have been a less bloody way for population control? Why do some of your creatures have bad habits like eating their mates, (like the black widow)? Couldn't we have done without the mosquito? Why did you make vampire bats? How come dogs were evolved from wolves, and come in all shapes and sizes, but a cat is a cat is a cat? Oh, and how come we can send a man to the moon, but can't find a cure for a cold? Couldn't that formula have been included in the Bible? I think one of my first words talking was, why? lol
-
Gosh, Meece, when it rains, it pours. I'm so sorry.
The garden is actually a private one owned by a doctor that specializes in research on aging. Can you imagine waking up to that every day?
-
Trust me - she has a lot more questions than just the peony perplex!
-
Oh, I can believe it! lol
-
On a more seriouse side, I have given it thought, and I don't think we will ask many questions at all. Do you really think we will be spending our time thinking back on what troubled us while in our earthly bodies? Would we really want to know why some things happened, and will we care?
It's not that I don't have questions or am lessening the importance of yours, I just don't know if the "ugly" stuff will be revisited once we are there. Do we dare ask Him to explain His reasoning? What do you ladies think?
-
Oh, I certainly agree-there is no way I could look God or his Son in the face & ask why. It truly doesn't matter by that time. But, it's kinda fun to make the list-sort of like "who are the top 5 people on your island?" I remember my sister & I playing that game back when DD was about 5-sister & I had people like Tom Cruise, Sean Connery, Antonio, etc on our islands. DD pipes up with, "I want God, a policeman, a fireman, a cook and a teacher." Wow, such insight when sooooo little!
