im glad you have a plan of attack, lynneia, and glad your'e having a port put in. it makes things much easier..
ladies, please pray for me. its a small thing, causing big things. i quit smoking whike in chemo, well over a year, but can't seem to quit the gum. its causing problems digestively, and the chemo bloat is from chewing gum. so, if we all add our prayers together.. an addiction is an addiction. yes, ive been to the hypnotist, and the quit smoking thread..hahah MEECE, am happy to hear about Matt, and this "auntie" is praying for continued health, and a small disability which will give him vets benefits for ins.. 3jays

I have been comming here often this is my garden of Peace. I am scared about work and not having enough money to pay the bills. I know God can take me through this. I would love to work as I go through this but don't think my body will let me. I work at a place that gets very warm in the summer mounths and around food how is my body going to react to it. I need to put my full trust in God that he will see me through. Thank you all for being here for me and keep me in your prayers.

I worked the entire time, I only took one day off (surgery day on a Friday), then missed 1 and a half days for nausea through chemo, and did my rads during lunch hours. It can be done. There are meds to help with nausea. One which worked well in particular was Emend. The times nausea was too much was when I didn't get it fo one cycle of AC.
I found that keeping my life going as usual helped the time pass quickly. I did stay away from the kitchen areas of work, and at times had to come home and shut myself in my bedroom while the boys cooked their dinner, but I worked it out.
God WILL see you through.

Watch out, here comes Meece again...
I just recieved a call from my dad. It seems that my mother took a fall coming out of the bathroom at 1 am. He could not lift her and she was unable to help herself up (1 wk post surgery). They called the Fire Dept and they sent some firemen to help get her back to bed. My father said she could speak, but what she was saying did not make sense. They figure it was the vicodin she took several hours before. I could have been but I told them to get her to her dr. They replied that she was seeing the surgeon this afternoon. I then ordered them to get an appointment with her GP. I am so upset they didn't get her to the ER when this happened. Dad called back and said they are heading to the GP now, and the GP will fit her in.
What can I say? Please pray that she is okay and will fully recover from all of this, the surgery, the fall, and whatever caused it. She fell onto the knee she had replaced in November and sprained her ankle as well.
On top of that, I have been notified that it is possible I am going to be called today for a second interview with the company I did not get the job from last week. I feel priviledged that they want to talk to me again for a different position, at least that really does mean that I came in a close second (or third). I really need a job, and have been trying to just unclench my hands and turn it over to Him. (My hair is wet, but I am dressed to interview.

Prayers for your mom Meece - and your dad. Prayers also that your interview goes well.
-
Thank you. I am plastered to the phone in case they call.
-
My father just called. They were leaving the GP and heading to the ER. She thinks something is wrong inside from the surgery, perhaps infection. That's all I know at this time, but at least she is heading for medical care.
-
Praying for her Meece.
-
Meece...In a nice way Im glad she is headed to ER.
HUGS

-
Meece praying for you mom and dad and for the possible position. God has a way of working things out.
-
No call for that second interview.
We just got home from the hospital. After a two hour endoscopic procedure she has been admitted to the hospital for 4-5 days minimum. Complications from the Gallbladder surgery last week. She will have another procedure on Thursday. At least she is in less pain than she has been.
Thank you for your prayers.
-
meece, prayers for all of you. glad your moms getting the medical help she needs. prayers for that interview. 3jays

thank you so much. I will be praying for your stop-smiking issue. DH smoked for years, but knew I could not be around it, so went to the nicotine tablets. He was on them for over two years! He has graduated to peppermints and is trying to figure out how to break that habit. I know how hard this must be on you.
-
Praying for both of your folks - and your job interview, Meece.
And your challenges too 3 jays.
God is ABLE.
-
Sorry to hear about Mom Meece will be praying for her. Our God is able .

Meece, your parents are in my prayers. Such a hard thing for them to have to go through. I will pray also for your work prospects. I may not post here a lot but I do read all the posts as I have them delivered to my email. Any time someone asks for prayer or shares a problem or concern, please know that I do pray for all of you. I will have # 4 Radiation today. So far, it is going fine. A bit tired each day after we eat diner (my tx's are late day at 4 p.m.) but I'm usually rested by the next morning. I know the fatigue may be cumulative over time but I will deal with it. I'm so ready for spring but heard last night the Farmer's Almanac says my part of Illinois is due for another big storm in the next week or 2, topping the 20 inches snow we got the first of Feb. I hope they are wrong. DH said if he had a Farmer's Almanac, he would burn it after reading that!!!
Hugs,
Juanita

Just arrived home from spending time with Mom at the hospital. Her problem has advanced into pancreatitis so she is in a lot of pain.
It is so cute, that at the hospital where she's at, they play Brahm's Lullaby every time a baby is born. We heard it about three times today while I was there. What a blessing that God is sending little gifts from Heaven.
-
Meece - I'm so sorry to hear about your Mom. I've had pancreatitis and know how terrible the pain. I pray she recovers quickly and that they can control that pain.
-
Thanks ladies for all the encouragement little steps are good. Heart test tomorrow. Good night and God Bless you all.
