i'd love the spoiler link if you could PM that to me:)

I'm an on-again-off-again watcher of AI. Some years I watched it, other years not so much. I had high hopes for Ellen as a judge last season. I like her, but I thought she was pitiful as a judge.
It seems like there are A LOT of talented singers this time around. I also like that they seemed to show fewer jacka$$ auditions of the really awful singers. That got old fast. I mean, a few sprinkled in for comedy purposes, fine...but it seemed like past years they aired enirely too many of the assinine contestants!
I love both Steven Tyler and JLO. He's a bit of a perv, which makes it funny, but he also provides serious critique. And JLO seems sweet and down to earth.
I'm looking forward to Wednesday!

Hi All! I am so excited about this season. I record it and if we are watching something else at the time it's on, we just watch it later. I love it when Steven closes his eyes, I can tell that he really likes the song. My DH and I watch it together and if one of the kids miss it we just copy it onto a cd for them. Sometimes they want the whole season to watch over and over especially at family gatherings. There are so many talented young ones this season. I know that they are grateful to Justin Bieber.

Im loving the new season, the change in judges is just what it needed. Although I was skeptical before I started watching.
To echo a previous post, that cow boy John Wayne, sooo cute! Not my type at all but wowza!
-
Laurie08 .. my exact sentiments! A much needed face lift .. for sure. My daughter, Alexandra and I have been watch since day 1 .. We lay in bed and watch via DVR .. laugh and giggle .. She is 18 years of age .. so its rare that she spends any time with Mom and Dad. LOL

Steven Tyler is a dream boat! I love the way he just pipes in and sings! Wow, what pipes ..
-
I love Steven Tyler .. the only reason I tune into Idol!

Gearing up for tonight's episode ... 2 hours, if I am not mistaken! Yahoo.

Hi,
Happy Time!!
-
Teka .. I am jealous! You get to watched AI, 2 hours before me. I live in Southern California.

why are they doing another group week? It seems to cause so much stress for all the contestants, and it doesn't showcase their individual talents.
Anne
-
2 groups stayed, while 2 groups went home. Another Hollywood week ... via groups? I don't remember from last weeks how many contestants are left....
I am sure we will watch performances tonight, and tomorrow night they will send another group home. I am stressed for these kids ..the pressure of it all!

My DD and my Dgranddaughter watch Idol together each week, have since Season 1 . Like many others, I was prepared to not like this seasons' judges, I liked Simon, not Kara, Paula (I almost missed her crazyness last year), and felt Ellen was there for what? Instead I love Steven Tyler, jlo is a peach, and then there is Randy. Steven is a real heart throb, so genuine and tender.
-
I thought they will be having 4 judges.
karen...i also watched AI from season 1. Im addicted to that show.
-
VickiSam,
I must remember not to post who gets the boot.
-
Teka....im waiting until everybody watch the show.
You can PM me if you want to talk about tonight's AI.
-
I won't spill the beans .. but I was crying right along with Jennifer. And I never cry ...
Bren
-
Me Too. She is very real.
-
I love the show, especially this year. Steven tyler is a gem and I was so surprised that I would like JLo. She's very direct and doesn't ramble on and has great judgement. Who knew she would be such an asset to the show. And it's refreshing that Randy isn't saying Dawg so much!
-
we all have told friends, no phonecalls after 8 when Idol is on, anyone who does call gets a quick "call you back". Even my granddaughter, who is wedded to her cellphone, doesn't take calls.
-
We watched last year's show because it was like watching a train wreck - it was the worst season ever. When they signed up Steven Tyler, I thought, "Why on earth is a real rock star doing this silly show?". I couldn't imagine what he could possibly contribute to the world of pop music. BUT! He has been wonderful, and like we all seem to agree upon - sooooo sexy! He just had me when he whispered into the injured girlfriend's ear and kissed her so sweetly!
Jennifer Lopez is also wonderful - so kind and genuine. I'm also surprised about her. I thought she would be such a diva, but like she jokes - I think Ryan Seacrest is the real diva.
And Randy is almost lost with Steven Tyler and Jennifer Lopez there!
Lots of great contenders this year - where were all these people last year when we got stuck with what's his name?
-
I think they whittled it down from 61 to 40 last night; tonight will be cutting down to 24. I'm so glad Lauren Alaina got thru (the blond 15 year old--reminds me so much of Carrie Underwood); but I think Jacob Lusk (the bald black guy) is the one to beat this year!
Anne
-
awb...I started writing their names with the description for who they are.
Last night i was able to remember Jacob and another name which starts with J.
And I love Carry Underwood. She got all my votes on 2005.
-
seyla, we have always made an evening of it when it gets down to the 24. Order a pizza and wings with me, my DD and grandchildren. Eat a little something to tide us over till the magic hour of 8. I don't feel like cooking tonight so we will have pizza night tonight, I even have a $3 coupon for the pizza!.
-
HeartandSoul7 -- I am LMAO .. Ryan Seacrest a diva, NO DOUBT. He sometimes bugs me .. with his plastic smile, white teeth, and his endless bounds of energy. Some might say that I may be jealous, you are correct ..LOL
I can see ... why ... for 30 years, girls and women alike has thrown hotel keys, and panties at Steven Tyler .. I admit I must be harden by JLo .. I don't know why ?// I am seriously trying --.. she is growing on me. Don't get me wrong .. I love the trio this year, American Idol .... really needed to change things up from last year's - 4 judge panel.
Randy the dog, has not found his groove .. unsure of himself, and the others..
I am in awe of the contestants .. WOW

is it safe to talk about who got the boot now?
-
Well, I started to post about who got the boot, but maybe not yet...I don't know..
Maybe this season has better contestants because Simon was so jaded the last few years and just didn't give some people a chance.
I get so stressed out for those kids! Looking forward to tonight's drama! Can't wait to learn their names!
VickiSam - Ryan cracks me up. He went to high school around here, and everyone from that high school is pretty much like Ryan - plastic people! And oh yes, I'm jealous of that energy, too. He's not even that young any more, is he?
-
Letlet ... Yes ... let's dish !!!
-
after you...LOL!
-
Ryan was born on 12.24/74 .. in Dunwoody, Georgia. ... 37 years of age, right ?
-
Actually, 36 years old, but he seems a lot older doesn't he? hmmmm....my SIL graduated from Dunwoody High the year he was born. Ugh! Makes me feel old! No wonder I don't have all that energy! Of course, his mama wants him to get married...
