I have been totally MIA. Too much work and too many husband health issues are keeping me from staying on top of my social life. I am back, sort of and hubby is doing well.
Cannot wait to see all of the lovely TaTa's (former and future) again!!! I am in!.. Tracey and Giselle, let me know what you need me to do by PM as I probably won't check in too often (but will try). Will probably plan on driving over on Thursday and coming back Monday again. It was a great drive and I have a very special CD that I can listen to...
See you soon!!! xoxo Colleen

Ladies I just heard of a friend that just found she has breast cancer and is the early stage of things( as in just going through some surgery's don't know if cancer is early stage yet). Her husband has asked for prayers. When my good friend told me this I said I would pass this on to some amazing ladies so she can get prayers from all over. So please pray for a bc gal from Eastern Iowa ( I don't want to give a name since I didn't talk to her or the husband but did tell my friend to pass my contact info there way so if I can help in any way and tell her about this web site).

Sisters....... I got DX with Skin Cancer today. Biopsy's... malignant. I did not want to ask out loud.... and he did not tell me that it was Melanoma. So I am not sure. He did say it is not the sun type skin cancer ( you know.. the NON invasive kind..)... anyway.... he told me that I would be getting chemo.... I FREAKED....... I thought he meant Chemo like I/we all had in 08-09'.... he said.... no.... it was Chemo in a cream for the two cancer spots.... and that is it showing GREAT results.... and that I might not even need any surgery....
Our Robin had this same thing... but her cancers were from the sun.... so I will write to her. Anyway.... I did not know where to post this.... and I did not want to funk out our FB.... so here I am... asking for prayer... on our cancer site.......:(
I KNEW something was wrong when my Ocno looked at the spots and sent me to his Dermatologist. Everyone is telling me I am going to do just FINE... and they will get it all.... but I am still just freaked out and pissed a little.
NOTE TO CANCER: Can you please leave me the hell alone! : END NOTE.
( I know I am not alone... so so many of us get recurrences or even stage 4.... so I am small on this scale... I do understand that.... and I pray for you all daily.)
-
Laura that so totally sucks I can't believe it. Saying prayers for you and sending you BIG HUGS! It's good to know it can be treated with a chemo cream but, frankly, it's what something like this does to the nerves and the soul that is the most challenging thing. Stay strong. You have good doctors in your corner and all of us here to pray and root for you.
-

-
Oh Laura, what sh_ _ _y news! Where are your spots, Honey? Can there just be no end??? We all have yet to reach the 3 year mark. How can so many of us be having problems again already? Hugs to you, my friend. I'm praying for you and that the cream just kicks CA A$$. We are cheering for our cheerleader!!!!!!!!!
-
Laura!! Stop this nonsense!! This is nuts!!! Here's a big hug and an even BIGGER prayer that you get rid of it easily and it turns out to be a little bump along the road... (((((((((laura))))))))))))

FIRNI..... are you coming to VEGAS this year??? PLEASEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!!
-
Laura, I am so sorry to hear your results, but I am so glad that your doctors are confident that it can be eradicated with a chemo skin cream. I think a friend of mine at work had success with something like that for an area on her face. I'll keep you in my prayers.(((hugs)))

Oh Laura, that sucks so bad! I am so sorry! I've heard that those creams work great, but still, who wants to hear the c word again? Grrrrrrrrrr....I had a skin cancer on my back last year, and they cut it out, and it was OK (not melanoma, and not basal cell, the other kind; I haven't had enough coffee yet...). But when they said the C word, yes, it was very unnerving. Prayers coming your way...
-
{{{{{{LAURA}}}}}}}!!!!!!
-
(HUGS) and prayers coming your way Laura. Cancer really sucks. Hope this cream takes it all away along with any anxiety you may have over that darn C word popping into your life again.
Love ya
