So just so I am clear Nancy - YOU DON'T CARE FOR THE PAGENTS - RIGHT????? LOL. Oh I forgot about seeing those fake teeth, what are they flappers, clappers, something like that, nothing is cuiter to me then when little ones loose those first front teeth waiting for the new ones to grow in - I guess I am weird. I guess the show does proably wanna show some of the bad behavior for TV purposes, but I am sure it really happens, they are just little children, it has to happen, my gosh I would throw a tantrum if somone was pulling, tugging at my hair all that time.
-
LOL, I LOVE that toothless grin too! EmmaLi has her first top tooth that's wiggly and the second one is starting too, she's going to have a hard time eating corn on the cob this summer. LOL
Thanks for the compliment on her name too Cathi, she was adopted from China so we mixed the east and west with Emma and Li (which means beautiful and we certainly think she is) to get EmmaLi. (and yes it is still pronounced Emily)
I guess if your daughter doesn't call RAC back they will just show up on their door step to take the stuff back, if it's the little guy's bedroom furniture that won't sit soo well with CPS for them to make him sleep on the floor because he has no bed...but then again painting the car is sooo much more important than food or payments on something they rented. SIGH how frustrating.

Wee Amy! She is suuch a poseur!!

-
Here's another. We are ridiculously in love with Amy. She has been through such a lot but is never without that wee smile. She'll be talking soon, she's trying hard!!

-
And Lilly Rose ..
With mum and boyfriend. They are coming up this month - cannie wait!!!

-
Lilly Rose making a bid for freedom. Yep, she walking at 10 months!!!! And a real handful. They are al coming to visit for a week. Big family get together in store. ANd the babies can really get to know each other.
Cathi, I am very proud of you. You are a saint for dealing with those 2 clowns. Be firm!
Agree with all of you about Baby Pagents - just cannot understand them???

-
Nettie- awesome pictures, both girls are so beautiful. XOXOXOXOXOXOXOXOXO Amy has some most beautiful eyes.
-
Nettie, what a pair you have!!!! Gogeous eyes again! !! And the personal bid for freedom!! hehehehehee
-
Huh, just read my own post as hit "submit". I said what a pair......that used to mean something else to me....now it means babies!!!!
-
Darling Cathi
We just adore them! You have never seen anyone so besotted than Lilly's papa!! My cousin. And Amy seems to be becoming the centre of our lives. She is a sweetheart and still has a long road ahead of her. When she was born, we had no idea of the extent of her condition, as it can be severe. But Amy is on the low end of the sprechtrum, thank god and the prgnosis is even better. That's probably why we are so in love with her, but I swear she just loves everyone.
I got enough points on my "medical" assessment to class me as severly disabled, but fit to return to work within 6 months. My Member of Parliament and some Journalists are committed to bring down ATOS, and of course, I am co-operatng with them fully. And advising other BC sufferers about the way the system is designed to fail everyone except the terminally ill and quadraplegics. So I am fighting back against this shower of clowns who are paid a fortune from MY taxes, and who are unemployable with our Health Sytem. This is according to a GP (Family Doctor) who attended an ATOS recruitment drive and was so appalled that she is actively camapigning against them. And our biggest National newspaper has started already with an article "Wefare Warfare" I am enjoying the campaiign, got my fighting spirit back!
Sorry I have been mia lately, been caught up in research and getting e-mails prepred to send to all of our political reprentatives, lots and lots of anger on Breast Cancer Care UK. All of which needs to be directed.
I am watching True Blood while typing, god it's extreme!!
Love and lollipops my classy lassies!

Ok here it is - I know your all waiting with baited breath regarding this weekends visit. On Monday AM after DD and SIL drop kids off at daycare, Amanda brings their cloths back here that I sent for the weekend (dirty of coarse) well this AM SIL was with her as they had to be at a joint appointment this AM , anyway as good as daycare is for the kiddies, they do/have learned a bad thing or two, Landen has learned POOPY FACE, it's not something he says constantly, and he doesn't even say it when he's mad, just out of the blue - your a POOPY FACE, the first few times he said it, I explained to him in 2yr terms, thats not nice, well anyway he is still saying it a few times a week. Apparently he said it over the weekend. And SIL wants to know HOW WE ARE DEALING WITH THIS - IF WE HAVE SPOKE TO THE TEACHERS YET - BECAUSE IF NOT WE SHOULD OR HE IS GOING TOO -
Ok DUMB A$$ - OOP's did Landen hear that - LOL No Bill I have not spoke to the teachers and I don't plan too, if you would like to - be my guest, but I suggest you be sure not to cuss in front of him and he takes those words to school. Now Bill if he was coming home saying, the really bad words I would certainly speak to the teachers, he is on the playground with children up to the age of 5, POOPY FACE, I think is kinda a normal thing. While it's not nice and we don't want him saying it to anyone else, I am finding that if I actually ignore it (I wasn't at first) he is saying it much less. I am not sure what really is the right way to handle this is Bill (I have a sarcastic tone by now) did you learn anything in your PARENTING CLASSES that you can enlighten me with. I WAS SO PISSED, He had this SMUG tone to his voice, like we aren't doing things right.
-
Cathi, I think that you are handling the 'poopie face' very appropriately. I am sure that the daycare teachers have told him the same thing if they hear it. I know that my sister, who teaches 3-4 year olds would deal with it the same way. She might use reverse psychology, how would you like it if I called you poopie face? If it continued to be used more frequently, she would put him in the naughty chair for a spell.
Sheila
-
Yes Shelia you are right, Landen even said when I did tell him thats not a nice thing to say that MISS KELLY (his teacher) said 'thats not nice either" So school is not ignoring/encouraging the behavior. Last night he never said it at all, it is VERY INFREQUENT, So I am not concerned at this point. I will admit Ed & I did chuckle about it (not where Landen could see).
I remember when Alexcis was about 3 she went with me for coffee, we were walking back to the car and a pretty good breeze came along and blew up the dress I was wearing - I said OH $h*T, she immediately repeated it, and for the entire 4 mile ride home she was in her car seat saying "OH $H*T, I ignored that and I don't think she ever said it again.
-
First, let me just say, those baby shots are WAY TOO CUTE, what blessings they must be in your life!!!
Cathi, that's so funny (in a not so funny kind of way) that SIL threatened to talk to the school if you don't. Ummm isn't that part of being a parent? Wow I don't know how you do it some days, My eyes roll around in my head just reading some of it. Hang tough, you are doing great!
-
Cathi? Poopie face. I'ss see you and raise you ..
When my nephew was about 3, my mum was teaching to read, like she did with all of us.
She was reading from a starter book Reading the line and Peter finishing it
So ...
The big bad giant puched the wee drarfed right in the .... nose, said Peter
And pshed in into the ... water, adding "the dirty bastard", said my wee nephew angrily.
I had to leave the room with my fist stuck in my mouth to stop myself laughing.
To the best of my knowledge that was the one and only time he swore!!!

Well had a surprise visit today from Case Worker abbout 5PM as the children and I were outside - filthy they were, but play filthy. So I guess we passed, first SURPRISE VISIT in a long time, but court date is 3/7, and she says pending the judges decision and she doesn't see any reason for her not to agree, reunification will happen that day.. So here I sit a small piece of me feeling happy and longing for some normalness back for Ed and I , and another part sad, gosh I have always loved the children, but what a SPECIAL place they have earned in my heart, and of coarse on top of all that THE WORRY.
As I said to you Judies about your baby leaving on 2/28 - BITTER SWEET.
-
Well, Cathi, it has become something other than bitter sweet. Just found out that Connor, at age four, is booked to travel unaccompanied on a 12 hour flight to Beijing. He is to meet with one of the flight attendants the day before to say hello.
I am LIVID. What kind of mother sends a child that age alone? She talks about how adorable he is an everyone just loves him and he entertains all the other passengers and is SO good. She's been lying to me about how a family friend is going with him until I said that my ex and I will drive him to the airport and would like to go early to have lunch and meet the friend. Suddenly she says that the friend's plans had to change. I told her that I will not place him on that plane until he has someone he knows and trusts to accompany him. So the visit may be extended. I don't know what my rights are, but I do have posession of his passport. I'm hovering around panic attacks. Oh, Cathi, why can't we protect our innocent grandchildren from their immature parents???
-
-
Oh Judie- THAT IS ABSOLUTELY AWFUL, 4 years old on a plane for 12 hours alone, I am with you NO WAY. That passport would come up mssing in my posession too. GRANDPARENTS RIGHTS are a hard thing though at least here, unless you have the custody/guardianship through the courts. Perhaps the ride to the airport there will be a major traffic jam, and the flight is missed.
And I don't know WHY we can't protect these babies more. I guess in 3 weeks I must put my trust into the SYSTEM completely, and hope/pray the case workers follow-up as they promise they will. I know all the teachers at the school will be looking out for them.
Judie keep us posted on this mess . XOXOXOXOXOXOXOX

Hey Judie stoppin in to see how your doing, any updates on the flight chaos. XOXOXOXOXOXOXOXO

Cathi and Judi, Keeping you guys and your babies in my prayers. To let you in on the latest here.
My daughter has decided, as of last Monday, she and s.o. and kids are moving back to MS. She is leaving Connor with me - he said he didn't like that idea. She has already contacted the schools to pull Madison and Kenzie out of school March 4, 2011. I have the two little ones and Connor this weekend and the two girls wen with DD to find a home. She doesn't have a job but is looking into transferring with BCBS so we will see. We would like to keep the girls at least til school is out but the Child assistance will be transferred to MS effective March 4, 2011 so we will have to pay for after school care without any help which is $600.00 for the three then during the summer it will be $450.00 / child per month. I can't pay it and I don't think this move is the best for the children. I told my daughter I would not be able to help in any way with the move after they move and she said that was fine and her s.o. had gotten a job and he can work while she goes back to school. I really hope she goes back to school but don't trust this to happen. She has to find daycare for the little ones also. She isn't speaking to me at this moment and I've tried to call her all day. SHe was to pay use for her insurance for this year but now she is using the money to move. Oh this is so frustrating but She is an adult and will be 25 y/o on March 8, 2011. I have put my trust and faith in the Good Lord to take care of everything.
Love you guys.
-
Dink I will be praying for you and all others on this thread taking care of little ones.

Oh Leeza , our cups keep running over don't they, your DD & my Amanda share March B'days (3/28) maybe it is the month. I don't know what to say, except as everyone is advising me - STAY TUFF - STAY STRONG, but I can only imagine your worry with those babies of your moving out of state. XOXOXOXOXOXOXOXOXOXOXOXOX I don't know how I would react if my DD did that, and honestly that is a slight fear of mine, SIL still has family (drunks) in NY, and there is always my EX up there, it has crossed my mind on ocassion them picking up and leaving, trying to run away from all this stuff. After the case workers surprise drop in Wednesday I was talking to Amanda on the phone and told her what Sara had to say, and I was again bewildered by my own DD, she had no JOY/HAPPINESS in her voice when I said looks like in a few weeks the children will be back home with you again. No excitement, Don't know how to explain it, but was talking to my BF (Blaire - the one with throat cancer) she said hell they are lovin the arrangement they have, a few nights a week with the kids, no real responsibility, spending hardly any $$$$$$$$, they are proably thinking a good thing is coming to an end. I think she is right.
I have been on kind of a major shopping spree for them this past week, new cloths for the warmer weather, new sneakers for school and summer sandels, just necessary stuff , I just need to do this, I have to know (and it's just for me) that I am sending them back with everything they need for a little while.. In 9/mo mom & dad have not purchased a single pair of shoes for either, and they tear them up and out grow them overnight it seems. I guess I have been kinda mean, I don't send their good cloths over on the weekend, except for an outfit for Monday school, I am a CLEAN CLOTHS FREAK- I even iron their cloths everyday ( I LOVE TO IRON) , I know those are just STUPID LITTLE THINGS, but it makes me sad.
Leeza I am keeping yopu in my thoughts daily - XOXOXOXOXOXOXOXOXOX
Shelia thank you for your kindness. XOXOXOXOXOXOXOXO

I hope your stories have as happy an ending as mine! A miracle! My son Devin and a friend drove over the mountains for a Decemberists concert here tonight. They had asked me if they could have a quick supper with me on arrival. During our meal, I filled him in on the situation with Connor. After his initial shock, he asked if the trip could wait until March 16. He has been wanting to go to China and would be thrilled to take Connor home!!! So we leap from the sad thought of a little boy all alone to the vision of being accompanied by the most fun of all the family!!! Now all I have to do is hold it together for an extra two weeks...LOL
-
Oh Judi!!! What a great compromise!!!
Cathi and dink, you guys have it tough, I've gotta say!!
Cathi buying clothes is okay, grandmas are supposed to do that...aren't they? I just bought 3 boy snowsuits for next winter for my grandsons. Marked down to $10 each at Walmart!! Sure the kids could afford that, but they'd have to buy the suits when winter starts and they wouldn't be that cheap. I am blessed that I can do this....I even have 3 sets of crocs for them for summer! ehehehehhe
-
Oh yes Barbe, I always buy cloths and even toys throughout the year for all the kiddies, sometimes it's an immediate gift, sometimes stored away for B'days and Christmas, I just have kinda bought a huge parcel of clothing for Landen & Ella this past week, Guess I have EMPTY NESTING starting already.
Judie, so happy for Connor, You'll make it, I thionk the peace of mind you will have with him not flying solo will keep you going. XOXOXOXOXOXOXOXOXOXO
We received the paper work Friday from the States attorney regarding court on the 7TH, the decision of coarse for return is in the judges hands, with everyones input, and I just don't know whats going to come babbling out of my mouth when she asks our opinion - I know in my head it's time for them to go back, get this ball rolling in this 6/mo phase and see if DD & SIL can do as they should, but it makes my stomach do major flip - flops. UGH-UGH-UGH - Sorry to keep going on and going on about this, SOB-SOB-SOB
-
Cathi, don't apologize! As long as the issue goes on, so does your stress level!!!
